Indian Restaurant Kitchen: Is this Busy and Fast Action? at Taste of India, Drummond Street, London.

- ✓ In this video we revisit Camden's very own "Bangla Town street" (namely Drummond St.) to get very much a privileged peek inside the kitchen of Taste of India restaurant, to watch the chef cooking up his version of some of the UK's most popular and favourite dishes.
This video gives some idea of what the cook has to do in terms of working very fast (in a busy restaurant environment) to serve hungry waiting diners when cooking up freshly made food..........without the use of a microwave!!!
We also watch the "Tandoor Wallah" making Naan bread.
A special thank you to Mr Redoan Pasha and all of the restaurant team who welcomed us and graciously allowed us a privileged glimpse into their kitchen to do the videoing.

I recently celebrated my 60th birthday and booked a table for 16. I don`t know how they pulled it off but we all had a 5 course menu, all the food arrived at the same time, it was hot and well presented. The restaurant was full so it wasn't just us. Incredible. I love Indian Restaurant food. MMMMMMMMMMMMM. Thanks for posting.
Cant u see this is your order being prepared😜
I worked there in 2016 for two months. Its amazing place and very friendly colleagues.
I'm glad the U.K has such a diversity of different food to choose from.
Indian & Italian Nom.
Love watching the skills of this chef and his cooking. Thanks!
Amazing how you can get around that small kitchen without getting in the way! Nice job! 👍🏿😀👍🏿😀
Wow very nice chef ji
In term of kari " curry"business Drummond Street is the original way ahead of brick lane which stared from mid 90s onwards Southall, green st, tooting, Wembley from similar time scale, but Drummond st from 1960 onwards.
Many restaurants in UK are owned & run by the Pakistani's, Bangladeshi's, Sri Lankan's which they run using by giving Indian names to it which works great when it comes to marketing point of view. Just ask them which part(exact location) of India do they belong & talk to them in native Indian language, you'll be surprised.
Yes, but it is not only in UK, I have seen & experienced it in other European countries also.
Love the busy kitchen-y sound of this video. Thanks for uploading! I know its old.. =)
thanks for the video man. It's always great the see real indian chefs work in action! please upload more videos like those!
Ali Alrubeh they are Bangladeshi
Very clean and well organized kitchen. I would love to be able to learn from you.
I reckon it would quite cool to have some narration to the video. What's been ordered, what he puts in at each step, what's in the vat etc. I love this food and would be great to have talk through so to speak.
Nice cooking nice food and nice video thanks sir

Nice video, rare access!
Wow super chefs
Indian cuisines are way faster then this, these guys are free and passing their time making it slowly.busy time there will be 10 pan on stove and 10 at backup filled with food and ready to get cooked.
How do i know this? I am a chef who does what i said every day.
Thank you for your comment chef!
This was a relatively quiet period in the restaurants' kitchen.
True even me
Rightly said brother. Indian kitchen handlers are way faster than this. Even I'm an Indian chef and you dnt get time to stand during busy hours.
Only those ppl knows the pain and feels the heat who have worked in busy schedule.
By the way hats off to the channel to show the cooking skills of these guys. Everyone has there own way to handle situation.

Why do they put the food in that hatch thing towards the end? Is it some machine that takes it elsewhere...

Any idea what the dish is at 6:45? Has a pale colour, doesn't look like dal... then it gets topped with meat.
It's a cream sauce
AbstractMan23 one spoon desiccated coconut, half spoon sugar, topped with cream until bubbling, and then finished off with breast of chicken
This ain’t busy. If it was busy there would be 15 plus curries and biryanis and other dishes getting cooked by multiple chefs. This is quiet.
EEEEEEEFICIENT
can anyone tell what was he taking from the big pan,,???
he is using this for every dish.....
shahidul parvez maybe ghee
Base gravy. The precooked sauce which forms the bulk of the curry sauce in the final dish. It's made with onions and some other veg boiled for a long time to make a mild sauce with some spices and tomato paste added. Search "bir base gravy" and you'll find examples.
shahidul parvez tomatoes souce
Base Gravy. One pot, a thousand dishes.
shahidul parvez
Its the actual curry sauce which what each curry is made of. One pot of sauce, from it a hundered dishes.
Each curry house has its distict curry taste based on that sauce. So each place is similar in taste not exact same.
