Steve, Remi, Cal, Yannis and others on this show have helped to change my life! I didn't grow up a hunter but my son and I have spent the last two seasons hunting together and there's nothing like it. These guys have inspired me. I spent this last week skinning, quartering and butchering my own deer. I have a working knowledge of the animal and how to use it. It's an awesome feeling. Getting ready to make a whole smoked venison ham for my family this Christmas 🎄! Thank you Steve, please keep doing what you do man 👍
They've inspired me to start seriously making hunting plans this year now that Covid restrictions have relaxed some. My first hunt will be this fall, come hell or high water.
Wow that’s awesome, I wish I can have the opportunity to at least see in person how you guys brilliant butcher a animal. I never ate a deer meat. For now I just enjoy watching the videos. Good luck.
This is so awesome. About a year ago I start watching the show on netflix and I was thinking, huh, i wonder why they only have seasons 5 6 and 7 on here? So glad you guys are uploading the previous seasons. Thank you.
I pray I can get my life situation in order so I can do things like this. Especially since this is my home state. Informative and insightful also highly inspirational. Thanks Steve and crew.
Rinella is such a respectful and knowledgable dude. If you hate all hunters you should take the time to listen to Steve and observe how ethical he is. I personally have never hunted but I have so much admiration for what he does and the way he does it.
around 2 days ago I randomly looked up a vid for quartering a deer as background noise while I play a chill game (Medieval Dynasty) and was roped into the channel by how humble and sincere - coupled with how informative and useful and hi-quality - that vid was. Now I'm hooked. Netflix or UA-cam, I'm watching all this channel's vids. Makes me wish I lived someplace where hunting wild game was a thing; I would've loved to be tutored (and humbled) by these guys and gals.
@@troydroberts88 very true. Don’t get me wrong though Steve Rinella is one of the best if not the best conservationists and admired hunters around. The guy does it the right way which I respect. Not to mention how he shares it with us all.
@@troydroberts88 Alaska’s draw system is pretty darn fair. We residents have some quibbles, but I’m not aware of any hanky-panky for the super-rich to bypass the system (tho I read in one game warden’s memoirs about a situation set up for the king of Thailand...)
The math says that in 5 years, there is 90% chance you never draw the tag, but that means there is 10% chance that you draw a tag at least once in 5 years. That's rough, but not impossible. Just for fun, there is a 55% chance that you strikeout 30 years in a row! Ouch!
Thank you guys so much for posting all of these episodes! I have only been able to see the episodes they are on Netflix so I really appreciate being able to watch these early episodes now. It's interesting to see how Steve and the show have evolved over the years. I started at episode one and am working my way forward.

I found Steve on GQ channel talking about hunting scenes in some movies. Immediately after subscribed to his channel & been binging ever since!! Love it!
I used to live in Virginia so I know the topography. Honestly hunting in Alaska even for a resident is such a logistical endeavor that I find myself missing just being able to go in the woods n hour from the house and hauling a whitetail or a turkey out by myself. That’s why I’ve been chasing bears just above Anchorage lately, don’t have to travel so far that I feel an overnight is required.
