Hey Brad I was there the week after you and also killed an eleven year old. They told me you got an awesome Ram and were filming it. I’ve been waiting ever since for this to come out and it did not disappoint. Great film! Very well done! Congrats on your success.
Just. So. Good. Hard hunt that encapsulates all the things and why we do this stuff. Challenge, wonder, even suffering are all necessary to add the right flavors to such an adventure! :)
Pretty hilarious, the second you need legit bombproof gear, you switch to Sitka. Just like every other influencer when they get the chance 😂 Love the video tho, thanks for sharing and great ram!!
That's not why I took Sitka rain gear. I actually like some of the FL rain gear, especially the Omen setup, which I would have taken if I was hunting Kodiak (but I dont like their lightweight rain gear). It was just too heavy for this hunt. I'm always trying new gear, and I liked the weight of the Sitka rain gear, and since Gore owns Sitka was curious how their rain gear would perform. I did like it for the most part, but not necessarily better than my lightweight Patagonia rain gear. I took a variety of Patagonia, Sitka, FL and some non hunting brand clothing on this trip. I appreciate you watching!- Brad
@ Makes sense, although you’re wearing 7 or 8 different pieces of Sitka and not wearing any first lite in this video, which speaks to my point. The second guys are allowed to, they switch to reliable gear.
I can understand the perception from the outside, but I've always worn what I want. I used to wear exclusively FL because I liked the product and the company. But I had some things I didn't loke about some FL pieces and decided to try other gear. I did use a lot of Sitka on this hunt and thought a lot of it was great. I didnt love the fit on everything, but it was good stuff. I used almost all FL on my archery elk hunt back home right after this hunt. Both companies make some good pieces-Brad
It,s 42 years since I last took my 2nd ram in the Yukon but the country and the walking was so similar except I saw a lot more rams ,this will sound like an exaggeration but It is true and vivid in my memory we reached the top of a tall rocky crag, my guide signaled me to look down the valley there were groups of rams anywhere from 7 or 8 to12 and 15 rams in each group extending for a mile or so on both sides of the valley there had to be 100 to 150 sheep many of which were mature, legal rams. some were unapproachable and those were the furthest away. The next day by mid morning I was standing over my ram with the happiest smile you will ever see. I also took a caribou and a big black wolf on that hunt.
Great Ram Brad. Congratulations on a successful dream hunt. I’d love to hunt Dall Sheep in the Brooks Range some day. Was that a prototype Dyneema Rincon that I seen you using?!🧐
@@gotomoku1780 Good eye. We have been working on new versions of some of our tent models in Dyneema fabric. We’ll be making an announcement later this year. Stay tuned!
Whats next??? My god man, how about a Grand Slam!! sheep huntin's-sheep huntin'- they say " either you're a sheep hunter and love it----or NOT"--- once it gets in your blood, you don't stop. Congrats on a great ram👍
Great vid til the last 2 minutes. :/ ..so much for letting my grandsons watch this. The lack of control with language is disappointing. Anyone can let swear words fly- it takes a strong man to refrain. Stay safe. 👍👊
Pure gold, awesome video and stud of a ram, congrats!
Appreciate the watch and the kind words!

There is an Alaskan Slam-where a Dall sheep is taken from each of the major ranges.
had not heard of that but that would be an accomplishment.
