Good afternoon kevin, another great adventure out glad you enjoyed this walk. That quarry looked awesome to sit and have your lunch shame about the midges and sheep bones, I suppose they were lame and took shelter there then were never found. Your right about the waterfalls - you have come across some stunning ones that are not marked and the one at the start of your walk near the quarries was beautiful. I would have had to of checked that building out... then I suppose your right someone might be sleeping there and in true Sadie style I'd have walked into something I wish I hadn't 😂. Would really like to see you both team up and do a wild camp there (I read the comments). You asked where we plan to camp, I hadn't forgotten. We are planning on going up Kinder, but not sure yet where we will pitch, we have some ideas. Do you have any recommendations? 😊 .
Hello Sadie and Paul 😀 I look forward to reading your comments each week 😁. I really enjoyed the walk - I can’t believe that I’ve not been to those quarries before. I had them to myself and I suppose most people just pass them by on their way to the popular spots. You’re probably right about the sheep. I was just joking about it being the lair of a big cat or Bigfoot 🤣 but it does give that impression. My reaction to seeing the sheep skeleton in the cave was genuine. I’d not looked inside until that moment and for a split second I wondered exactly what I’d found 😅. That house is definitely abandoned which is a real pity. It’s all boarded up and you can’t get inside. We will see about the wild camp - I don’t have cold weather camping gear. For your camp on kinder scout I would definitely recommend the northern side because it’s quieter. Maybe seal rocks or fairbrook naze? I can’t wait for you to tell me all about it. Take care x
Thanks for another fascinating walk & explore, Kevin. Did you take a closer look at those little cave/shaft entrances around the quarry? I love checking out places like that, I always take a torch with me just in case.
@@Glossopwildcamp thanks for your view and comment. I always take a head torch just in case I find a cave. I only checked out a few. They weren’t deep and torch wasn’t needed. The area is worth a thorough explore, this was just a quick recce.
@@Nightwalkexplore thanks for watching (and glad to see you still subscribed 😃). Yes it’s very impressive and atmospheric. I’m thinking of doing a Halloween themed walk / video next month. I’ve a few ideas but do you have any suggestions or requests? This is more your area than mine 👻
@@kevinstark4294 I've got a good few places, I'll check my pins. But off the top of my head I think St Peters stone/gibbet rock at Wardlow Mires might be a good place. Or Black Harry Lane maybe. I actually did a paranormal investigation there and got a lot of activity
@@kevinstark4294 I did reply the other day but it's not shown for some reason. But yeah love your walks. I'll check my pins properly for a Halloween walk but off the top of my head St Peters Stone)Gibbet Rock might be a good place or Black Harry Lane, haunted by a highwayman

@@atrampinthehills.841 it would make a fantastic camping spot! I might join you on that one 👍
@@kevinstark4294 That would be great
