Love these exploring videos, the dog stone was great but the stone sink was my favorite.

@@johnm-wv6bo thanks for watching. Glad you liked the video - it was a really good walk. One of my favourites this year. That stone sink is pretty impressive isn’t it?

Good evening Kevin, we hope you're feeling better. What a great video this one was at least you were blessed with beautiful weather so you could have a good explore of the area. I agree that it's the sort of adventure you want to start your day with and allow plenty of time. Thats what we have planned to do with the children, but that will have to wait until next year now. The discovery of the old shooting cabin with that sink was amazing! I've watched alot of videos of the area and a few about the Dog Stone itself and none of them featured this amazing find. I believe that a plaque from the old shooting cabin was removed (I think it got alittle damaged during it's removal) and is now on show in The National Trust shed/museum in Edale. I also think there is a gio cash at the Dog Stone, did you come across it? I guess if you dont know you wouldn't think to look for it. It's great getting shots of your lunch and how wonderful to have sat and enjoyed it amongst all those lovely shaped rocks that all look the same shape 😂.

@@PaulandSadie good evening to you both. I hope you are well I’m guessing you’ll be making your way back up to The Peak District very soon 😃 I’m glad you enjoyed the video - some time ago you suggested The Dog Stone to me (I remembered 🤣). I always like to make my videos different from other people’s- so it took me a while to work out what approach to take before visiting the area. For me it was really important to show The Dog Stone In context with the quarry and its other features. I didn’t know about the plaque from the shooting cabin - thanks for telling me 😃. I did know about the geocache but I’ve never geocached so didn’t look for it 😂 is it something you’ve done? It’s been a strange weekend without getting out for a walk but I’m glad I did it because both yesterday morning and this morning were very wet and it wouldn’t have been a good idea to be out in it 😅 I’m definitely feeling better though 👍 thank you for asking 😃
