Minor correction: Dr Fate is a Lord of Order, not Chaos. My suggestion to give him a rogues' gallery is to bring gods from obscure pantheons and/ or alien gods. Maybe a mortal cabal or two trying to abolish magic? About his overpowered levels, I'd force him to commit most of his powers to contain a destructive mindless force. He is forced to operate at some 40%, and if he ever needs to draw higher than that, something bad happens and he needs to clean a serious mess, like earthquakes in New York or plagues in New Dehli. A few years ago Paul Levitz did a great run on Fate, a new weaker less experienced one, starting to learn the craft. Good stuff.
I truly think Young Justice portrayed him the best. From his introduction to the last season, they introduced lords of chaos and order, introduced Nabu, how kent was affectes by being fate. And so much more, even the curse of fate was written amazingly. Fate deserves justice
Definitely my most favorite Hot Take video on a DC Character so far in my opinion. I really like the concept of the team up with John Constantine as well. I could only imagine how dark, compelling and atmospheric it would be.
I agree, Doctor Fate was one of the best parts of Black Adam. I'd go so far as to say I'd have preferred to have had a Justice Society movie with Black Adam as a twist villain, where they think he's the enemy but is actually on their side against Ishmael (and cut the demon character at the end, just another random space warlord, use Ishmael as the final villain).
I do really like the idea of Fate being a neutral character and love Kent Nelson for his history, but my favorite avatar for Nabu was in the animated Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay. The guy wearing the helmet was just a random male stripper. Seems like a terrible idea. But this himbo in his twenties who just loved all the power of Fate and just having so much fun using them was such a breath of fresh air
Dr. Fate is a Agent of Lord of Order, not Lord of Chaos. But I do like the idea of the host having conflict with the Helmet of Nabu. I would also love to see more stories of the Lords of Order & Chaos use their agents against one another.
DC has a problem of not even trying to make their characters as popular as batman But marvel through MCU made all those characters that were involved in it as popular if not more than spiderman DC should do something similar
Would love to see a solo film/backstory for Fate. Maybe when he was in medschool..... hahaha. Would be cool to watch him master his powers, fight with some of the decisions he needs to make and the internal struggle he must have felt, especially in the first few years of him using the helmet.
They did it the in Young Justice. He's an anti-hero at best. It has to be something more like joker than a bat man movie

There's a villain made in the show Batman: the Brave and the Bold called Equinox who I'd love to see introduced to the comics as a Doctor Fate villain

In my opinion, Dr. Fate is not the sorcerer supreme of the DC universe
Also Wotan and Klarion are dr. Fates main villains

I’d love to see your take on Nightwing, or if you want to go obscure then I’d love to see Red Tornado, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), etc
Nightwing is definitely coming soon!
I love this channel
Thanks charlie! Glad you found the channel!

hell yea second appearance
Hey thx for letting me appear in the video! ✌️, cant wait for the next one! (hopefully its other magic user like zatanna or swamp thing haha).
Of course, thanks for commenting! And I think Zatanna will be next!
Facts
I don't know about others, but I would love to see you do omnibus overviews/more comic book related videos
So Kent Nelson should be to Doctor Fate what Stanley Ipkiss is to The Mask (TAS)?
I see the parallels and honestly really like the idea.
Psycho-Pirate should be Doctor Fate's main villain. Another character who gains mystical powers from a golden mask he wears.
Do zatanna next
Sheeeeeeeeeesh
Doesn’t flash also share Abra Kadabra?
I believe so. Basically 99% of villains Fate has is shared by others.
It was really poorly used in black Adam in my opinion
Doctor fate is so lame other dc magic entities deserve his power level
I would argue over the years Constantine has been upgraded to near his status.
