Colombiana was based on the intended followup movie to "The Professional" with Natalie Portman. Luc Besson couldn't get that project off the ground for various reasons, and so altered it to make Colombiana. But you can see how the opening of Colombiana could have been the story of "The Professional"
@@Steve_P_B Yes, that is what he means. But the movie title in the US when it was first released was only "The Professional". So i think a lot of people in the US only know it by that name.
I watched "Melancholia" knowing little about it and was left questioning things that happened. The second time watching, things take on different meanings. Excellent movie to watch multiple times.
bri'ish trash, tbh... like garfield or tucker carlson... cartoons for kids, programming for adults... everyone who watches W&G is just biting in to the Rockefeller / Aldous & Julian Huxley / brave new world "you're going to love your slavery!" mind control... so pathetic and unchallenging... takes no effort to accept the cancerous, toxic blue light instead of God's light or the world it bathes... think of this every time you tune in (I call it tuning out [to the real world]) and choosing placidity instead of all the important and wanting things you wish to do, like that set of tools you wanted to make, or that craft session you needed for the garden you have forsaken still... imagine all the examples we could come up with~
That is why we have political drama bleeding into our lives also. Your phrase works on this and trump/harris etc. My question is why pay NETFLIX for a UA-cam experience! Do like Korea product placement in the series, male leads facing ED by ordering online etc
Yea. Netflix is reading this and taking notes. 😂 I love this dude - and always learn about some good stuff that I haven’t watched yet. Yes, they’re not all amazing but more good than bad
Great FLICK CONNECTION Darren. I'm glad to see Hereditary coming to Netflix. Highly recommended. Many thanks for sharing with us, much appreciated. Happy New Year to you all 🎉🎉🎉
Uh, so basically crap. Netflix needs to step it up. Nothing but reruns everyone else has just had, giving us documentaries no one cares about ( springer? Killers?) and stupid shows. There isn’t one thing that interests me that you listed. Many of your Jan 1st is already out too…
I watched RRR on your recommendation and loved it! Please make a list of movies made in India of this genre. I would love to view more of these kind of movies, but wouldn't kniw where to start.
My biggest complaint about all of the streamers is that they keep adding and removing content - even shit you've paid for. There is no reason for that anymore. Storage is cheap.
@@torymitchell9027 You're right. That's why I don't mind when I'm reading a book, and someone comes into my home and rips out the last few chapters. Their IP rights are important. Customers have rights too. Legal doesn't mean right. Illegal doesn't mean wrong. Buy physical media, rip. It's never going away.
I'm super excited to see RRR Behind and Beyond (NEW Documentary). The movie RRR was amazing! My only regret is that I didn't get a chance to see it in the theaters. I discovered the movie after the Oscars. One of my all time favorite movies.
Happy New Year from Sweden! Could you please create a top 10 list of movies to watch when you need hope to break out of depression? Really appreciate your lists, and I found a ton of movies thru them.
Interesting fun fact about COLOMBIANA… Zoe Saldaña does not even show up for the first 35 minutes of the film; her character is played as a 10 or 11-year-old by a very young Amandla Stenberg, and I believe she made this movie even before she played the doomed Rue in the first Hunger Games, but she is equally as badass in the film as Zoe is!
American Primeval looks like what Kostner is trying to do with HORIZON series but with a much more reasonable budget, grander scope and looks action packed.
I only care about one series on Netflix: "The Good Bandit." Right up there with Mel Brooks, The Coen Brothers, Monte Python, etc., etc. It's a masterpiece. I'm re-watching it, and it only gets better the second time again. I have never laughed out loud so hard. It's amusing, entertaining, hilarious. It's kind of a miracle.
The last yard sale of the year I got all 3 rush hour movies and I thought the exact same thing, I have not seen the trilogy on streaming services at all
@@live2die583 I’ve seen the odd one from time to time but I don’t remember Netflix or prime having all 3 at the same time but it’s not like I’ve been actively looking
I just watched Don't Die. Bryan Johnson reminds me of the obsessed characters in the movies of Werner Von Herzog who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. The documentary is definitely interesting, but also distressing. On the one hand I admire his determination, but on the other hand I also think that his obsessive lifestyle is psychologically damaging, although Johnson probably doesn't see it that way.
Wrestling was cool in the early 2000s when wwe was at war with wcw . Some of there matches were insane ! They really amped up the violence for about 5 years and mick Foley and the rock was one of the bloodys matches ever ! I could never get back into it after that .
Hey. Quick suggestion for your channel. I’d love it if you’d also mention whether the movies are available in 4K HDR on the streaming service(s), where applicable. Thanks!
yeah, but done to death guy boss movies still pop out the occasional gem. for example, Beekeeper was a done to death guy boss that was.... well, pleasant to look at, but Gray Man was a similar movie that was actually funny and good, even tho it checked all the typical boxes.
Agreed on I know what you did last summer holding up to scream. Interested in seeing melancholia I've heard good things. Lastly, do you think that "Don't Die" guy eats Gruns?
I know what you did has been shuffled around every streaming service for years..I never watched it, and won't now either. Sick of seeing it being reposted.
I love Zoe Saldaña, but I can't watch Colombiana with the add version of Netflix. It's locked unless I get a higher plan. Madness! A 14 year old movie!
Yes, wrestling fans are freaking out! Lol. Currently, their whole library and premium live events are on Peacock, but I didnt know that they're moving so much content to Netflix already. Pretty cool.
@marniekilbourne608 I personally got rid of cable a few years back because it was exponentially more expensive than a streaming TV service. I have Sling for my TV service and can watch the weekly shows but I also have Netflix so either way, I can still watch. It's not hard to get a Netflix subscription.
$5,000,000,000 is what it is taking to move that stuff over. If Netflix wants to be a sports streamer they need to set up a different division. I am so pissed they are wasting my membership money on it and the Christmas Day football games ($75,000,000 per game last month) and that amateur boxing match. Even the eating contest where they ate fake hot dogs.
I think you missed a few, just watched Dune Part 2 and Furiosa, a Mad Max Saga (and Mad Max Fury Road) that showed up on the 3rd. Or did they just not announce these and slipped them in.
Thanks for this video. Was contemplating re signing up to Netflix for Squid Games. But thankfully saw your video and definitely saved me the money. Nothing but old movies seen few times. And nothing new and impressive. They truly have dropped off and just seem to be throwing most money and none English new shows etc now.
I have been thinking about dropping Netflix, this just convinced me to do it. There just isn't anything really worth my time, other than a couple of old movies I have already seen so...
I remember being soooo excited to see Melancholia and being really let down after watching it. It wasn't confusing so much as it just felt long and drawn out and boring. IMO.

Excited for The Night Agent S2
Took them long enough to decide to make it!!
I didn’t watch Jerry Springer because my time on earth is limited.
You my friend haven’t lived yet.
I never watched, probably because I was literate.
Indeed😂😂
Trust u don’t want too watch that trash
I did not watch it as well.

Columbiana is awesome. I've watched it several times 👍👍

Watch Monk while you can!!
That Nic Cage movie is very funny and well done. The Jaime Foxx film is the one he directed and had his stroke while making.
Schindler's List is educational in ways beyond most all films. Even if it isn't some "best" whatever, it

Nic Cage and Pedro Pascal? Yes please!
Hereditary is outstanding!
I thought Melencalia was just the M83 music video? Had no idea it was an actual movie. Wow!
Little white lie was a decent movie. Plot had lots of chances to be good. But then they couldn’t find a way to close it and it went off the charts.
is this list solely for American Netflix because I'm in Australia and Im certain that interstellar is already on Netflix australia

Only getting it for raw
“Hard R movie” staring Zoe Saldana😂
About the only things I am looking forward to on this list is RAW moving to Netflix and The Night Agent 2.
If Netflix was the only streaming service available, I just wouldn't watch TV anymore.
It's 80/20 that Ari will piss you off 🤣
Nick Cage for the win but only because of his sidekick.😅
It's sad that they're removing The Magicians 😟
Are there any NEW movies? I can watch all of these any time I want without Netflix.
The key is still 4K. For those of us paying for that, these HD offerings don’t matter much.
It sounds like "woo woo stuff", yeah like I need younger ears and eyes. lol
Wrestling? Gives me flashbacks of the death of the Sci-Fi channel.
I loved RRR, walking dead and night agent 😊
Colombiana desreves a trilogy at least. There cld be so much syltory weaved outta there
On Vengeance most Foul, watch it and see if you get the film reference jokes. There are lots in it. I-Robot, the Italian Job, Bond, ....
So ... nothing to watch in Jan then. Please don't tell me I'll be forced to read a book!
After seeing this lineup, I can't only hope that Amazon Prime doesn't also offer the same kind of garbage as Netflix.🤞🏿🤞🏿🤞🏿
Hunh ...
I can't think of a single thing here that I would watch.
There are some I've already seen - but don't really want to see again.
Oh well ...
