This series is pretty dang cool..I think jr learning words written from his dad, he already knew in his heart, but I think the concrete evidence makes it really easier to digest and understand fully..absolutely awesome to have archives like that
I ❤️ watching you and Kelley reminisce about your family and your Dad! I just know Dale is in heaven beaming with pride at how wonderful you both are and enjoying the journey of you learning about his rise to fame in those treasured newspaper clippings! Scrapbooks are truly timeless relics!
I think even modern drivers should take note of these articles. Humanizing a driver is critical to their success. I mean, that's is why Dale Junior was consistently the most popular driver. Fans felt like they know you, the real you. I don't mean social media either, they should do a "drivers diary" so to speak.
I love your interviews with retired drivers but I especially like you and Kelly talking about family. Keep it up great podcasts. The Kenny Schrader interview was hilarious.
My dad did very similar work surrounding his racing career just not in so much detail but I have a ton of photos and some scrapbooks he put together an wrote on loose-leaf paper how his races were going week to week In his own hand writing too. I probably have one or two scrapbooks with his own words and writing from back in the late 70s early 80s. Amazing that your able to put all these memories together on paper and in this podcast. Your children and many ppl will be so thankful for the pride you take in your family history!
Really amazing to hear your voice reading your Dad's thoughts in his own words about life on and off the track. This is something special. Thanks for sharing.
I think what you are doing for the memory of your dad is awesome, the articles are great to hear thank you for sharing them through your voice , that makes them even more special. I notice that as Kelly gets a little older she looks more like her dad you can really see it in the eyes and mouth. Thanks again Jr. From a Canadian Fan.
I truly love this. Just love it! I live in kannapolis and he up in Salisbury nc. I, like Jr am 49yo, and I've met Jr a few times. Once at a smash mouth concert that i was at for the radio station i worked for and after the show we hung out at Vinnies on south blvd in Charlotte. I also got to meet him in a media scrum in Seattle Washington after he won the 400 in Daytona. The first race after Dale Sr passed there. Jr is so good at what i used to do.. it's funny to watch him with the headphones on doing what i used to do. Dang man. I hope i run into Jr again someday. I pass mamaw house and Ralph's and mamaw Graves almost everyday. I always give them my love and respect. The Earnhardt family is truly the quintessential southern hospitality family. I adore them
Absolutely LOVE THIS SERIES 💞🤗💞🏁🏆🏁 Becoming Earnhardt is PRICELESS PRECIOUS TREASURED BLESSINGS!! The more you reveal through these articles, the more I want to hear!!! If it was in the scrapbook or book form, I literally would read it cover to cover nonstop. I love to read especially about things that interest me but this material, I would devour and wouldn't be able to put it down until the final article was read!!! Thanks for sharing this Precious Priceless Treasured Blessing about your precious Dad . It's more valuable than all the money, silver, gold and gemstones in the world!!!! Truly Priceless 💞🤗💞 Thanks again for sharing this BLESSING Dale and Kelley and GOD BLESS YOUR PRECIOUS AUNT FOR HAVING THE VISION AND INSIGHT THAT YOUR DAD WAS DESTINED FOR GREATNESS BEYOND ANYONE'S EXPECTATIONS 💞🤗💞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🏁🏆🏁🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I hope Dale Jr and Kelly and Mike are planning on putting all this into a book. I would LOVE to be able to read all the articles and see photos. And Have the family prospective on Dale Sr. It would be cool to have a illstrator to do pictures of different stories where there is no photos or video or really bad video or photos.
I like the fact that you are as open of an individual as you are junior. I enjoy hearing stories about your Dad. He was awesome on the track. Loved his style of driving. The stories are awesome. I can relate to not having much of a connection with your dad. And how that makes a guy feel. I got a good connection with my Dad nowadays that I didn't have when I was young. The other interviews and conversations that you have are awesome as well. 😎👍. 😎👍.
Love the podcasts and enjoy hearing Dale and Kelly talk about there memories !!! I have always been a big Dale Earnhardt fan so I really enjoy these videos thanks
Just finished moving in and getting set up in Miami - will have some spare time this week so while l'm taking two weeks off twitter - I am taking a "DaleCation" to catch up on this series and the other DJDs via both the UA-cam and the audio version of the DirtyMoMedia pods - this is actually gonna be quite fun! Sorry to hear you are feeling ill Junebug - I hate being out sick but you gotta rest up and you will feel better soon before you know it! So no worries and take good care of yourself - you'll be fine! 🤗 💕, M in Miami : )
Great episode. Junior, @10:31 did you say "delta" ? You were talking about the big cars having "a lotta up & down movement." My tv captions said you said "delta." If so, please tell what you mean by "delta" when describing the car's handling. Another thing those cars had a lot of...is steering wheel input on a high banked speedway. Like a good half turn going into the corner, whith a BIG steering wheel. (Buddy Baker took me some laps at speed in a ex- T.Labonte chevy Buck was buying for his school he was opening in 1980.
I was at Dover in '86, Bodine won. Just watching those drivers deal with the 'G' forces on there necks wore me out. I was at the start/finish line when Harry Gant blew his crank onto the track. I was thinking he's probably partially relieved.😀 Like Dale said, you definitely go down hill hard mid-corner.👍🏁
im sure yall get a lot out this - but i must thank you for sharing - these trials and tribulations - are what made Dale such an icon - hes relatable - and he deserved everything he acomplished - Proud to be a fan of the #3 -
I admire so much how you are capable of talking about your father. My father is knocking on heavens door and when it comes time for him to go through it, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I don’t know.
A Darlington rookie orientation? Damn, it would be awesome for roomies to have their own orientations at classic tracks like Daytona, Talladega, Charlotte, Indy (Oval), and Darlington!
Man I think it’s cool to hear what he’s doing, what he’s thinking, how he’s running, I wish a lot of drivers would keep a journal to give us a little peak behind the curtain and a little into their lives

Lol I love it, Marshall Tucker Band and Kelly's Eight Track LOL. I remember my back seat half full of 8 track tape cases 😆
Always the best insight into NASCAR. Thanks
Love this insight to your family, not all of it is a positive vibe for everyone but its good to see that heroes are still people too!
Can't get enough of this early times true story
I love your interviews with retired drivers but I especially like you and Kelly talking about family. Keep it up great podcasts. The Kenny Schrader interview was hilarious.
Thanks for doing these. When you read his words I can hear him saying it.

Do you like reading things that don't interest you?
Nice to see your sister on the show.
Great series
The Marshall Tucker Band is from my hometown Spartanburg SC. I grew up listening to their music. Still
Love their music
Kelly more often thanks
Just finished the Dale episode of the great drivers series (tnn). '83/'84? Greau interview. 🙏💚🤟

He was 27 just about to be 28, just wow! This is so fantastic!! These articles are so precious. ❤
its been difficult to differentiate between Becoming Earnhardt and commentary on the series. Is there a playlist?
Junior is definitely a historian of his Dad’s Career from those early days in Cup - Kelley definitely enjoys hearing about it also
Your dad was like mist southern men…if something needed to be fixed or done, they would do it (or at least try)!
the church parking lot. iff you tell anyone, Ill come back and rip it all out.
Man, there used to be blown engines all over the place in every race, but nowadays, it very rarely ever happens.
Another good one, loving this stuff. 🏁
Can't get enough of this
Remove the valve covers. Dale Sr. said "it aint right".
JR your a good man I never got a chance to meet you but followed you your a good man thank you
Awesome stuff JR😊

Warms my heart !!! great hearing about MY HERO ❤💯

It’s so weird to hear he was fishing at Santee, a place that’s 20 minutes from me.
I admire so much how you are capable of talking about your father. My father is knocking on heavens door and when it comes time for him to go through it, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I don’t know.
The only track worse than Darlington narrow end is turn 2 at Pocono
Is there a playlist for this series ? Or are they just dumped in with rest of the videos ?
No movie ad in the middle of the video? Thanks!
Fire on the mountain....
A Darlington rookie orientation?
