I happened to watch a video yesterday and was shocked to hear that Noddy was considered to sing for ACDC. He certainly had the voice. I wonder how things would have worked out.
Best glam rock band ever, don't understand why they're so under appreciated. Great lyrics, great vocals, great guitars, great drums, great fashion, what's not to love?
They had 3 #1 albums and 6 #1 singles followed closely by 10 other top 10 singles. From 1971 - 6 they were the world wide top record selling band. How appreciated were you wanting ?
Back in 72 or 73 at lunch time at school I would rush home on my bike get my Ibanez Les Paul out and grab my Slayed Album and crank up the volume. I lost track of time so.many times and got back to school late and ended up in detention after school. It was worth it. One of favourite British bands.

The first posters-on-the wall band of my childhood. I was 7 when this came out & waited impatiently for TOTP each week. Slade were rarely not involved! 🙂

Best vocalist ever in rock, by a huge margin. Way better than any other. It is like he had a built in chrous and overdrive in his vocal chords. Extraordinary harmonics.
Certainly one of the better English screamers...but America's Robin Zander has the best voice in rock. And no one could top Little Richard...that's where they all got their mojo from.

I remember seeing them live at The Palladium in London somewhere around '72 or '73 when I was around 16/17 years old. The sound was so loud that we were stone deaf when we left. Walked across the road to a pub for a pint at last orders and the barmen asked us to stop shout at him when we ordered our beer! Happy days.

Noddy with his mirror hat sparkling back at us and Dave Hill ending up on top of the speakers about 25 feet up! ZZ Top was next and had their work cut out for them. What a great show, what a great time to be 17!
Noddy Holder the best rock and roll voice ever, in the history of the genre. No one comes close.
Я также так считаю. Более того,вряд ли мы еще услышим такой голос .
I happened to watch a video yesterday and was shocked to hear that Noddy was considered to sing for ACDC. He certainly had the voice. I wonder how things would have worked out.
