DLC 3 is perfect when you think about it. Yes the mode wasn't the best, but the maps needed to be released for sledgehammer's vision to be fully realized. The reason we didn't get a normal map was because all 4 survival maps are themed after their respective ravenlords. Not just in design but in gameplay too. Same goes for each of the ravenlord areas in the frozen dawn. A lot of thought was put into the design and gameplay of each map and the devs manipulate the player to play into the respective ravenlord role. For example, with groesten you typically camp in the room with the mystery box, defending that 1 room. The bloodraven playstyle is all about defense. Another example is Mount Olympus, where you have to think about where you move as the map changes every few minutes. The moonraven playstyle is tactical. And each ravenlord wonder weapon fits into this too, like the red talon which is the bloodraven's sword. It gets charged up to release geistkraft energy on a kill, but if you execute with the weapon while it's charged, it makes a safe zone and kills all zombies around you while you are in the animation. And the fist of tal'rek has a ranged ability which fits into the stormraven's ranged playstyle. The abilities work for each playstyle too. It makes for a very well crafted gameplay experience that was designed to allow the player to experiment with different ways to play the game and that's one of the many reasons why ww2 zombies to me is by far the best zombies experience in cod. DLC 3's mode wasn't perfect at all and had many flaws, however everything else that came out of it is by far the best designed set of maps that manipulate you into playing a different way. Sorry about the long reply lol, I was gonna keep it short but I'm really passionate about all the small details of the mode :D
One of my top 3 CODs, loved the guns both multiplayer and zombies and the campaign. But zombies was my favorite, one thing it did that I wish treyarch would do is giving every gun from the box, as in, normal bullet weapons, their own unique ability once pack-a-punched
Two fun facts about the Sword of Barbarossa: You cannot earn points by using it to kill. And if you ADS and use your single-target swing, you can sacrifice a point of armor to create an orb that will revive you if you go down when you’re nearby. Upon being revived by said orb, it will disappear, and you will have three points of armor available again
Many guns just by upgrading became wonderwapeons by it self ,i remembe how funny was play that game with round 70 that you could live only thx to explosive gun and ability
Its not exactly a wonder weapon, but it is extremely rare to acquire out of the mystery box, akin to that of the ray gun from the aether story. That’s probably why it’s on the list.
I don't think the Fliegerfaust technically counts as a wonder weapons. I'm pretty sure it's just a launcher that's exclusive to zombies for some reason, like how the Python is a zombies-only pistol in BO2.
This has make me wonder how the call of duty world would change if zombies tech was transplanted in the main universe ( i know that the games aren't conected per se but that would be interesting)
The Fleigerfaust is an interesting launcher, in real life you would be firing 20mm HE rockets in two bursts, one firing a burst of 4 rockets, after a 1.5 second delay the remaining 5 fires out the tubes.
