- Do you have areas in drawing that seem to pull down every drawing you do? Fear you're wasting your time even continuing to draw? The cause of the problem may be surprisingly simple, and even, more surprisingly, easy to overcome. Don't let the simplicity of this powerful way to improve trouble areas, put you off giving it a go! Make drawing fun again!

As an instructional designer, I agree totally. The secret to mastery of any skill is repetition with focus on weak areas. Well said Stephen!
Thanks. 😀
This is on target advice, especially for someone working full time and trying to learn other things also. There is only so much time and energy in a day and it’s easy to let drawing slip to the wayside if it becomes overwhelming and frustrating. Thank you!
Thanks Birdie. Yes, it’s important to learn how to use whatever time we have available. 😀
This is so helpful and such a good idea! Thank you!
I always love to hear this. Thanks for sharing.
Such good advice! Thank you 😊
Glad it was helpful!😀
I started improving my art when I started working, couldn't spend loads of times in drawings so I had to become more "efficient"
Whatever we make work for us is the way to go. 😀
I'm trying to teach myself to draw and this is the first video I've seen that gives this great advice. Just have to keep reminding myself I'm not Da Vinci so nothing will be a masterpiece (just yet anyway 😃 )
Keep an eye on this channel. Subscribe so you get notifications of new videos, which Stephen puts out prolifically! A very good source. I think the best on UA-cam for sure. And no, I'm not family, just someone who's been here a while and knows from my own experience that it will help you improve if you practice with him along your journey!
It’s a great thing for us all to remember- takes such pressure of ourselves. 😀
Thank you so much!!!! Such great videos 🙏
Glad you like them!😀
Super useful, thank you! Would this practice be any different for real life/on location references?
You could use it anywhere, any time, but if I were on location sketching, I would probably try and draw the whole scene. But I may do this as a preparatory few minutes exploring options before I start.
@@stephentraversart thank you! 😊
