- Want a FREE BEGINNER'S COURSE IN DRAWING? To celebrate my 1000th drawing teaching video I decided to put together 20 videos (22 in the end) into a playlist that covered a wide range of topics to particularly help anyone at the start of their drawing journey. In effect, this playlist creates a general introduction to drawing course. And in a whimsical moment, I decided to leave in this video a recurring moment that I have always, until now, edited out. Thank you everyone who has supported my channel and watched any of my videos. I hope this playlist is of value to you. And if you know of anyone beginning to draw, please forward this video and playlist to them. It has thousands of hours of learning and teaching experience for them.

It would be so nice if you could provide more viszualized subtext and a summary table with most important information. Especially for the long videos. Congratulations for your 1000th video
The reason I don’t is because I want people to watch the video, since I think what is said in them is helpful for drawing improvement. A summary is not a substitute for content, but I suspect it would be often used as such. On the other hand, from a learning point of view, the student making a summary of the lesson after they’ve heard it is an extremely effective learning technique. Thanks for your thoughts and kind wishes. 😀

I have to admit that I've encountered your channel year or two ago when I've started my journey with drawing and honestly 'talking head' and black&white pictures weren't as much interesting to me as other more entertaining channels. But things have changed few months ago and amount of knowledge, experience and encouragement you are presenting is enormous. I've gained a lot and I see that my drawing skill is improving. Thank you!

A thousand thanks on reaching this milestone! While your own drawing focuses on the direct application of ink to paper, without reliance on underdrawing or erasing -- and on a somewhat limited range of subjects (architecture, streetscapes, and trees/bush foilage, with the occasional landscape, seascape, garden setting/flowers, and still life/interior setting) -- I find your commentary on the artistic thought process covers far more ground and is much more broadly applicable. Focus, motivation, overcoming difficulties and mistakes, preparation, materials, the mental rigor required to translate reference to drawing, prioritizing learning and practice over "talent." I work in a range of mediums, depending on the specific purpose and the time and energy available. While that does include a fair amount of direct ink work (though typically involving different subject matter), your demos are nonetheless fascinating, your instructional approach is well grounded, patient, and encouraging, and your overarching approach is superbly articulated, ever evolving, and flat-out invaluable. You've earned hundreds of Likes from me and I have no doubt that they, too, will rapidly reach 1,000!
