When you enter Cynthia's house in Undella Town - animation

- Those who've played Pokemon Black and White will know what this is like; when Hilbert/Hilda meet Cynthia from gen 4 in Undella Town.
Man, when this happened in the gen 5 games it gave me flashbacks to gen 4

I love how her first reaction is "What the hell is wrong with him? Is he okay?" And then goes to "Time to put him out of his misery."
The only character so far in the series to have a reasonable reaction to home intrusion.

bruhhh can u imagine i just found her and was soo paniking and she killed me and right after that i found this video XDDD
"Oh, boy, sure does feels good being perfectly safe entering random people's homes" *
"So you like to break into people's homes huh?"
“oh so you like entering random houses to talk to people huh? well after this you wouldn't want to talk anymore”
This is literally everyone at first.
Go from happy and hyped that they get to see Cynthia again.
But then they start screaming in fear as she starts to battle you.
Who didn't immediately hit "save" when they saw her? At least all Gen 4 (or earlier) vets must have.
Gen 5 was my first Pokémon game and I had no idea what I was getting into.
And I was like 10 so I had no idea what I was doing at that age.
@TrainerblueTube she's difficult by pokemon standards. If you're 8 years old and just plowing through the game with whatever pokemon you thought looked cool, you might end up getting walled by Cynthia. Even as an adult you might end up losing a few times if you don't know what's coming. Imagine if her team had movesets that would actually be used in competitive singles, had held items and made smart plays like switching out when she didn't have an advantage. How much more blown away would the kiddies have been?
Cynthia: You know, when two trainers eyes meet-
Hilbert: Noooo...
Cynthia: -they are obligated to battle.
Hilbert: NOOOOOOO!

Fun fact: if you were to stand near cynthia in real life you would be able to hear the quiet, suppressed boss music emanating from her at all times. The more gym badges you have the louder it becomes.
I can see it. One day in a grocery store just grabbing some perfectly ripe apples and suddenly it's like "WHY DO I HEAR BOSS MUSIC" acoompanied with a cold sweat.
(Let's all pretend pokemon is real) yeah I just won my 6th badge and I heard a terrifying piano near me I ain't gonna beat no one anymore

Same here but I think I was about 8 lol.
I'm letting my brother play platinum as his first pokemon game and if he beats it I'm letting him play white 2. 😈

Infernape
Luxray
Medicham
Garchomp

Gyarados
I told him nothing was strong on spiritome so he setup 6 dragon dances on spiritome with gyarados. Down goes the spiritome. Togekiss frozen solid. Lucario beaten up a waterfall. And then

And Cynthia sweeps.
I will update when he decides to turn the ds back on
UPDATE: I completely forgot about this comment but my brother did beat Cynthia.
He was able to do a dragon dance sweep to a pretty anticlimactic end but his first experience with Cynthia lingers.
SO he is was playing PLA and just beat origin form Palkia and was getting the plates for Volo but got bored and started play GoW.
When he gets to Volo I will record a video of it then MAYBE record key fights in white 2.

As soon as I walk into that house and heard that piano, my thought process was somewhere along the lines of "Ha Ha, I'm in danger."
I want to know what made GameFreak decide to put the champion from the previous gen in just a random house in the postgame beach town, since when they brought Steven back in HGSS they put him in Silph Co. But to my knowledge you don't fight Steven in HGSS, even when doing the latios and latias event he was evolved in

The next day, an open casket funeral was held for Hilbert and his pokemon team
The scariest thing is when you don’t know it’s her house and assume it’s just another random NPC’s house you can loot.
I can hear the "Oh so you're approaching my house. Instead of ignoring it, you decided to enter it"
"I can't get the shit beaten out of me without getting closer..."

Yuuup. My heart probably skipped a beat when those piano roll notes started. To anyone who played Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Cynthia is a scary lady to run into.
her rematch in BDSP is... yeesh. I think there's like a level 88 Garchomp involved

To be fair, I didn't have this reaction to the house the first time I entered it. Black and White was my second Pokemon game, so this was before I played Platinum, (we didn't own Diamond or Pearl yet).
I had no idea who this blonde lady was or why she challenged me to a battle, but her entire team wrecked me before I could issue a command. My first thoughts was that she was some post game trainer.
Then... Then I watched my brother play Platinum and saw that she was a Champion. I saw her mercilessly slaughter my brother's team. (I can't look at a Mitotic without thinking of her)
So I thought I would return the favor and get revenge for him. Now that I had knowledge on who she was, I stepped into that home and showed Cynthia you shouldn't make an older sister angry, completely floored her team.
Same i hate her milotic it tanked my thunders 😂
When i played Platinum and defeated Cynthia i took it upon myself to make Garchomp one of my team members in every game to remind me whenever im in a bad spot i can always get back up and keep fighting as to what happened when she first floored my team

How Pokémon teaches you to not break into peoples houses:
if you battle Cynthia there is no escape or you could just accept your fate or beat her or leave
The moment the intro theme song kicks in, you know you are in for it. Im just glad she offers to let you challenge her or not at that moment. She was chill that way
I honestly never had an issue with her but I'm glad she's got such a crazy rep because she's honestly, to this day, the best champion.

Wow! It brings me so much joy that my panic was a universal experience.
The game was just indirectly telling us not to enter random houses without permission
I love that he does the monkey stall thing
This was terrifying for me as a kid because I’d never played DPP, so I had no idea who this powerful trainer I was extremely underleveled for was, only that she was destroying all my Pokémon and I couldn’t get out of her house
This video is an underrated gem 💎
God, I hope the UA-cam algorithm will give this video justice.
I remember not knowing who Cynthia was when I entered this house but I was level 100 when I did and I was still impressed by how powerful she was
I had already transfered over the very Pokemon that kicked her ass in Sinnoh by the time I reached Undella town (remember, in B1W1 Undella is postgame content and you pass the transfer lab on your way there if you depart from Nimbasa), so in my case she was the one having Vietnam flashbacks.
I like how Cynthia looks concerned for a moment till she decides to release your fate
The calming summer season theme of Undella to a sudden change of Cynthia's theme.
I have never done a faster 180 in my life. Especially since i found it early and my team wasn't ready
Cynthia: you pick a wrong house, fool

This was my introduction to Cynthia
Try and guess how that went

Sweet traumas...back again.
I never thought Cynthia was scary when I first fought her in Pearl… probably because I only really used my starter throughout the game, so I just swept her team with an overeleveled Empoleon by spamming Surf. So running into her again in Gen V was more of a pleasant surprise to me.

"You can not run from a trainer battle."
I like how she seems genuinely concerned at first but then throws out that ghost.
I remember one episode of Pokemon where RivalmcMeanie declared he would challenge any trainer he saw to prove he wasn't a coward. He went around being a menace to society for a while, untill he challenged Cynthia near the end of the episode. He was like, on the second or 3rd gym. Cynthia tried to talk him out of it multiple times like, "Ya sure, bud? You don't want this" but he kept his word.
He's planning out all this shit in his head, and Cynthia just sends out Garchomp from the start and Sweeps his whole team with Dragon Claw. She accepts his prize money, and goes back to her day, like, "I told you, I'm out of your league." and he's just EMOTIONALLY DEVASTATED.
