The Revive spamming is easily the most accurate part.
Imagine being that weak, by the time I first fought volo my whole team was level 100 from perfecting the dex over 7 months, shiny Hisuian goodra ftw

@@sptflcrw8583 I didn't know the fight was coming, but I perfected the pokedex and that led to my team being trained to the max, I don't see how putting in honest work is cheating.
This really highlights just how insane Legends arceus was. You fought a guy on a mountain and when he lost he said "no I didnt" and then summoned satan to fight for him
And when he lost, he summoned Satan again.

Credits to the voice actor of Volo. He absolutely nailed the character and he was so funny at the end.

He gave Volo the triangle face shape just like Sephiroth!
Apparently using sharp shapes when designing evil characters and rounded shapes when designing good characters is a design choice used to make characters feel more edgy or soft respectively.

@@A-Microwave it’s true that Marth’s head was drawn as a triangle in “Something About Subspace Emissary” and previous videos although it was changed into a pentagon by the “All Smash Bros Ultimate Characters Drawn in the TerminalMontage Style” video.
Obviously there’s no way I could know why why TM chose the triangle design for Marth, but if I had to speculate it would be that even though Marth has a kindhearted personality he is a hardened warrior and skilled swordsman, and while triangles can be used to convey evil they can also simply convey that the character is sharp or tough, or has been through a lot. That’s my guess anyways.

It's here I realized we haven't gotten a "Somthing About" for a mainline Pokemon game until now and it's something we've been sorely missing.
Honestly, I'd love to see some of the earlier games in this style.

Fun Fact: The reason Professor Oak didn't appear at the end of this episode is because similar to Cynthia, his bloodline was ended prematurely via spontanious Abra Relocation. Professor Rowan was also effected.
Wonder what Cynthia's reaction would be when she discovers her Great-Grand Uncle was an evil maniac that got killed by the Platinum Hero's ancestor's Abra
This makes Volo seem so much more lively than in the games, especially when he said ‘GIRATINA! STRIKE HER DOWN!’
This is but one of many examples of why Pokémon is severely overdue for voice acting in their games.

@@ResurgentRavenyou should totally play the game yourself, if anything for this Giratina fight alone. It has its problems, *especially* from a competitive standpoint, but it's not a bad 30+ hour experience

I loved the first half of this more than the second half. The back-and-forth nature of the battle was nice, and some moments such as Lucario bashing Vaporeon right off the mountain was beautiful.

I've never played a single Pokémon game (aside from Yellow Edition and the demo of Sun and Moon), but I can confidently say that TerminalMontage would make the best Pokémon cutscenes.

If that happens to be the case, That is honestly a crushing blow to the morale of the being of antimatter. I almost feel sorry for him to be honest.

I mean, anything's possible in this I guess. But Metronome doesn't exist in Legends: Arceus.

Honestly, it's still wild to me that before this battle, no other trainer even had 6 pokemon. And then they just casually throw you a 6v8. This might well be one of the hardest battles in all of Pokemon history.
I love how hard the fight is!
Especially if you use a Pokemon that I think is required to catch who can sweep the entire fight and has a move that restores half health, raises evasion and you can sometimes do another move immediately after in the Giratina phases!

Absolutely love the animation and the voice acting. Volo's voice fits so well. I like how this animation also shows how cruel a pokemon battle can be. On a sidenote, since playing the game I wondered about that Lucario, as I thought they wouldn't serve trainers with an evil heart.

and just from how iconic it was, I wish the transformation for Giratina's second phase had the Guitar riff and a bit longer to change.
Otherwise I really, really liked it-
The end was so relatable that the relatability was as big as number of comments on every UA-cam video combined x100
The background turning all spacey and then going dark with Giratina is a really nice improvement over the actual battle, lol. I still remember the normal day night cycle continuing as I spent multiple in-game hours struggling to beat this guy.

I beat Volo the first try. I spent a lot of time prior to this match wandering around Hisui battling and catching wild and Alpha Pokemon, and was Rank 8 with a team of level 80+. Also had to revive a few times, but it can be done. Not trying to sound like a braggart, and it wasn't a cakewalk, but it was also nice to have a genuinely challenging battle in this game.
This also happens to be exactly how the final confrontation with Cyrus atop Mt Coronet went for me as well lol
I like how in the game they had volo's "throw pokeball" animation reminiscent of pokemon platinum's arceus sprite
