In the most recent episode of the anime we discovered that Gible was indeed Cynthia's stater Pokémon, from a misterious egg she hatched herself.
We also learned she can Dynamax Pokemon the episode after this came out. So that rule to fit with Cynthia's playstyle really doesn't work. xD
What this tells me is Cynthia doesn't go to Alola because the Champ takes no vacations. haha

Would've been funny if Hop's starter had stayed a Gible. Being a dragon type, it is still weak to your Gible, so it fits. Would've also been neat to see it evolve in subsequent battles.

the first time i ever fought cynthia i rocked up to the battle with the exact same team as her except for my starter. i had no idea of what her team was gonna be and i was losing my mind. she still kicked my ass but i was so stoked that we had the same team i couldn't believe it.
Considering several of Cynthia's Pokemon (Milotic, Spiritomb, Garchomp) are hard to get without going out of your way, that's a surprise!

Damn man, such a tough starter choice, Gible is adorable, but Gible evolves into Garchomp, but i like Gible's colors, so rough, i do believe you made the best choice of picking Gible
I disagree. Gible has the best stats of the three, but Gible has the best moves. However, Gible gives a special held item. I would have picked Gible instead, since it holds an RPG. Keegan's choice of Gible is also a good choice.

Even when sick, you never fail to make me laugh, loved the sentence when you first beat hop
You actually can get an ice stone before the first gym if you sneak your way over to the digging duo in the wild area, I used a glaceon to decimate milo on my last playthru

6:10 as someone who used Glaceon in a playthrough, you can get the Ice Stone from the Digging Duo near the Wild Area Daycare, and you can use the Isle of Armor to get enough Watts to afford to dig and get said Ice Stone
trust me, I beat the Grass Gym with ease due to my early Glaceon

@@craigyeah1052 This man also used an underleveled team against Leon. Not only to the NPC have a handicap here, Cynthia's highest level team is actually higher level than Leon's. If this were game canon, Cynthia's Garchomp and Lucario can also Mega Evolve.

@@pattycake520 Strategy > 7 or so levels. Dynamax > Mega Evolution. And of course she does, she has rematches/secret boss appearances and Leon doesn't. If we're taking their championship battle levels then they're about equal and if we're taking their Battle Tower teams then obviously they're all 50.
Cynthia was the strongest champion in the pokemon game.
Eevee learning Shadow ball is clutch for Bede! Love having it on mine before evolving & usually keep the move.

Froslass will always haunt me… also known as when I fought it for the FIRST time, the thing got three omni boosts IN A ROW and destroyed me, because this was Pokémon Diamond and I only had INFERNAPE AS MY FIRE TYPE. Now when ever I see it, let’s just say I kill that thing immediately so I don’t have to sob in defeat when all of my Pokémon die again.

Idk, it's a very tough choice, Gible has a very good type advantage over the (insert type here) gym but Gible is slightly better throughout a playthrough, and Gible can be good against some of the very hard fights throughout the game.

Spiritomb is my favorite Cynthia Pokemon! It was definitely the early- to mid-game MVP in my Cynthia run in Platinum. Her team is absolutely bonkers overall though. I love all of them quite a lot.

My favorite pokemon owned by Cynthia is glaceon because I love eevee. I am doing an eeveelution only run, and the digging duo (or as I like to call them, the digging dunces) refused to give me my ice stone. I eventually got it, but I was just going to progress and get one later if they didn't.

Roserade or Milotic, i love their designs and if you wanna read into it, they help show that cynthia does have a very feminine side/isnt afraid to use more 'girly' or 'pretty' pokemon./

I haven't seen the video. The answer is yes. One of them is the stuff of nightmares for all veteran players, who somehow manages to always bring a piano, just for extra PTSD. The other one is Leon, who is an alright champion, but not the toughest battle we've had in the series. Not by a long shot.

Throughout the video there was one thing that was constantly bothering me, Cynthia is 180cm tall but here she appears to be barely taller than Opal (162cm tall) and as tall as Hop who is (157cm tall) and I know it's because it's just a player character that looks like Cynthia but it's still bothering me
The alternative would be clipping, would you rather have clipping or weird height?
After seeing the latest pokemon episode, i will admit to liking her spiritomb more. Its a tank and laugh after taking hits

Honestly, this is bending your rules a little, but I feel if they use a hyper potion, you should be able to use a full restore, I'd say one each gym
