Kubota BX25D Blowing 36"+ Snow Drifts

- Finally got some deep snow in the driveway to test my BX25D with BX2750 blower. We live in wide open farm country so some storms all the snow blows away and sometimes it drifts in badly, this was one of those times.

It's nice to see a person who has figured out the best way to clean their property., also taking in consideration of wind direction so your not eating snow.i live in a rural plains states, drifting is a challenge.
First guy i'v seen this year that knows how to use a snow blower!! Great job!
Well that just proved that the "Kubota blower idea" is Way better than a "man with a shovel". The "John Deere 1025 snow blower idea" would prove this same over the " Kubota system". Hard to say when l have a Kubota. Kubota system "looks better" put falls down when put head to head to the John Deere system. Just have to be thankfull for what we have. Thanks for the great Video Sir & happy safe tractoring.
It looks like that sticky snow that when you shovel it you "blow your kidneys out". I bought the BX 23 S last March because I got fed up spending all day plowing with my ATV only to do it all the next day. Now I can do it in 1/2 hour with my front end blower unit. Good video. Take care: from Petawawa, Ontario.
Great video! That’s a lot of snow. You almost needed to resort to your backhoe😂When it gets that tall, you have to do it in layers. I take have the width with my JD 590 w/47” wide blower to help the process. I installed the cutter blades on the top front corners that help a lot when snow is taller than the blower. I just cut red oak strips and painted them JD Yellow! That looks like a nice machine.
Are the matching orange suit and boots from Kubota too? 😆
Tractor has lots of power. Great video.
Hope it was the last snowstorm of the season.
Because the higher the snow banks, the more accumulation there will be during the next snowfall.
I have the same Kubota BX25D tractor, but slightly older.
I have the Curtis soft cab, with the heater, and it's great luxury, especially on windy days.
I can't imagine removing those snow banks with a Toro or Ariens 30 inch snowblower.
Looks like what i deal with every winter where i live, lol. I have to give you props, you did it right.
There are days like this where i wish i had a heated cabbed tractor. But our Kubota BX23s gets it done.
I`m looking into soft cab for ours right now. These old bones of mine just don`t handle the cold as well anymore. 🙁
kubota accully now have a enclosed solid cab with heat and ac option inside there cabs now with wipers
@@michaelmactavish4445 Yeah they had them back when i bought my Kuboat BX23s. But $5 grand PLUS installation fee`s, and then sales tax, priced me right out of it.
Realy good operator. on a nice machine.
I see your idea to lift the agur made good sense and allows you to attach a much larger pile than I would think it could handle.
I was very impressed at its ability to climb up the snow left underneath without sinking or spinning.
Wow impressive. I am a plow guy through and through on my John Deere tractor but this is the only video footage Ive seen where I don’t think I could make that plow work lol
Used an 85hp New Holland with a bucket for 2 winters before this and it was way less efficient. Snowblower country for sure.
I agree plowing that would be a pain
Good man on a good machine, gets it done.
enjoyed the video !! as I just bought a BX25D with snowblower // had another BX 24 before but just moved the snow with the bucket
Nice little workout
It's a nice machine but I don't think it's a good idea to let it build up so deep. People don't realize how great they have it now. In the blizzard of 66, I had to dig out our drive of six feet of snow with a coal shovel at eight years old. And almost all others had to do the same. Maintain the equipment and it will serve you many years. Push it towards it's limits and you'll be using a coal shovel too. Lol
Refreshing to see someone that doesn’t have their chute pointed straight up into the air blowing into the wind
The Kubota works great but make use of that backhoe to pull that tall bank down and then blow it so you don't break that chute by putting pressure on it. Been there....done that.
💥 That’s how it’s done. Sometimes you really need a snowblower. Where ya from?
*Keep on tractoring!*
Thanks. Newfoundland, Canada.
@@damianryan5 Say hello to Paul Short for me. 😂👍 Have a great day. Merry Christmas!
Good video
It’s not the height of the drift. It’s how you approach it.
Would it work to have an angled set of drift cutters extending up on a 45 degree angle from the blower? It would cut free and slide over onto the cleared section. Next pass you do half pass of sloughed snow, half of low drift, with the cutter starting the next pass again
Try taking less of a bite it’s easier on the blower
Wow that’s pretty impressive! Did you break any shear bolts?
None that day. Only one for the whole winter.
Knock the snowbank down with the backhoe
Shoulduh used a John Deere 1025R
How many days worth of snow is this?
One. Record snowfall for our area, 3ft in a day
Bad to the bone
Love the video without any music
