I am continuously enamored by how easy going yet focused without being overly critical you are in all your videos. You really come across as a guy who just likes watches and wants to check them out without taking it too serious. Truly a breath of fresh air in the UA-cam watch space that is very much needed.
Great to finally see a review of this watch, especially the blue dial since most of the IG stuff is the grey or black. Also the first explanation of that incomprehensible bezel! I kept wondering what that normal was all about. Loved this episode!
Fantastic video! Awesome to see it get your spectacular treatment! I have the 40.5mm version with the green dial, and have taken it diving, where it performs swimmingly. Fun fact- you can use the chronograph underwater.
Good call out. I probably have undiagnosed ADD and can't make it through videos longer than the Tim Mosso reviews (and even some of those I fast forward). The review style here keeps my attention the entire video.
Fantastic as always, Evan. You might be the first one actually mentioning about the non-tapering bracelet purposely chosen to better balance out the relatively heavier watch head. For instance, Damasko bracelet doesn't have any taper nor folding clasp. But it just works so well somehow.
Great watch. You won't see many other people, if any, wearing it at your local watch club meeting, which is a plus for us watch geeks who enjoy seeing something different. I've got the same exact watch, but without the chrono function. Looks just as amazing, and is less expensive. I get compliments from strangers every time I wear it. Personally, I've never found a need to use the chrono function on a watch, which is why I don't own any. Thanks for another terrific review.
I am so glad that LJP* movements are finally making it into microbrand watches. Zelos used one, now this brand is... ETA cutting off outside movement sales is one of the best things to happen to affordable watches since I've been collecting. Brands like Damasko and Oris have gone in house and fantastic (Citizen owned) Miyota and LJP* movements are replacing the 2824 and 7750's. So glad indeed.
Big and bulky but not without charm. It won't be going on my dream list but it's good to know more about the brand. Great video Evan, keep doing what you're doing - those subscriber numbers are climbing.
Interesting to hear your theory about the thicker bracelet better balancing the watch on wrist. I’ve long thought the same exact thing regarding the bracelet on the Omega Seamster 300m Professional.
Thank you for taking some wrist shots with this watch. I have the same wrist circumference, so I appreciate a 'hypothetical' of how this might look on me. So want to pull the trigger on this, but it is a chunky boi. More to ponder!
Wow, I was kind of curious what the lineage of Aquastar was (but not bothered enough to look it up lol). Interesting that it traces its history to Jean Richard.
I've literally never heard anyone explain one of these 'no deco' bezels more clearly. But I've also just forgotten everything you just said, per your instruction.
Love the Deepstar. But at 40.5mm it's on the small side (OK; the "Too small" side) for my slightly larger than 8 inch wrist. 43mm/44mm; I'd buy one. Doesn't look like it'll happen. Which is too baf because this watch is lovely.
Back in Nov. 202, I ordered the Deep Star II, about a grand cheaper and significantly smaller. The company has missed their delivery date and "communications" are spotty to be generous. But fingers crossed.
Such a cool, beautiful, nice ... watch!!!. How can they achieve 200m WR in a chronograph with no screw-in pushers?, if that is achievable, Why other brands don´t do it?.
Really good looking watch. As said in the video it has really hard competition. Personally I'd pick a German watch over this one. Something like the Tutima M2 chronograph or the Sinn EZM 13.1. Overall great video, nice watch.
@@YoureTerrific Have you seen the new Farer Aquamatic diver in the exact same Teal colour as this box? Can't wait to see that and the other 3 variants on your channel!!!
@@YoureTerrific Damned??? Can i still watch? (heard hell has windows, to make you suffer more... 😉) [ "hell has windows" aka inner joke for (tech...) geeks] 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well, yeah, but the Tissot Heritage 1973 is Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath, OSS 117's watch so that's pretty unbeatable... Only the CFB Manero AutoDate on John Wick's wrist can beat it!
Don´t you forget to talk about Aquastar Regatta ? Not only dive watches where made by Aquastar. The regatta models are well known, or ? You are even showing a couple of models in the video without talking about them.....

That’s me. I appreciate the recognition.
Your videos are so good that I watch them start to end even when I dont like the watch being reviewed.
As always…. This video just made me happy! I always learn so much from your videos !
Hi Brittany 👋🏼

"Normal" but definitely not normal.

Hell yeah!
I think you might be my favorite watch youtuber right now! Stellar job (like always) and what a cool watch!
Yessss! Man I can't explain the jolt of energy and excitement I get every time I see you uploaded.
Awesome review. Evan, your review game is off the charts. No one on UA-cam is doing it better than you. Great stuff.
Too kind.

Great stuff! Refreshing to see something other than the usual big brand stuff
That's what I'm here for.

Again you give us an informative and knowledgeable review. Good on you Evan. Really like this one, too much watch for me however.
Thanks, Dave
I watched all of your videos. Some on multiple occasions. Very high quality stuff. I digg it.
I appreciate that!

“I’ll tell you: I don’t know.” Haha, perfect.

Completely addicted to this channel!
I’ll try to keep you from withdrawal.
Love your writing rhythm, man. Shalom from Tel Aviv 🤙🏼
Shalom, my dude
Very good!I'd like to see your review of the other Aquastar watch, the Solo Tempo, that I bought and was quite disappointed with.
Thank you for taking some wrist shots with this watch. I have the same wrist circumference, so I appreciate a 'hypothetical' of how this might look on me. So want to pull the trigger on this, but it is a chunky boi. More to ponder!
How come nobody ever went ga ga over the "Tiffany blue" box? 😆
LOL
Love the variety in this channel and your name lol
You have the best name. I’m jealous.
Great info, history, and review. Thank you!
I will eventually end up buying one of these. Love the design
The II is on my wishlist.. if they offered it in titanium, I would already own one.

No legal liability!
This has such a strong Zenith El Primero Revival vibe... :) I wish more micro brands would pick this up so I can finally afford one! lol
Funky! Watcha think of the resurrected Nivada Grenchen brand?
I like what I’ve seen so far.
Definitely an oddball piece, but with its own charm. Not exactly intended for the mass market. Nice review.
Agreed on all points.

I do like these. Very 70's cool
Unidirectional or bidirectional winding?
It's gorgeous but their website now says $1000 higher than you're saying here. ;(
It's different, but not on my radar. Looks great on your 7 inch/ 18 cm wrist though. :)
Perfect colour on the watch-box for this channel :P
I thought so too. A nice surprise.

Correct me if i'm wrong, you said your wrist is 7 1/2 inches, right? (love this, never gets old! 😂😂😂)
Be well, cheers.
Banned for life!

I'd forgive any of its legibility flaws, that is one hot watch!
Love my Deepstar ii
"I must ressurect and reissue all the 70's dive watches" - guy in cat burglar outfit
Still have a Benthos.. although parts are horrible to find.. impossible to work on and most watchmakers do not want to touch it..
Love this channel
Me too
almost bought one but then realized dimensions are off at 37mm diameter yet 12mm thickness
Love this!!!
Cool watch.
A watch for true watch geeks 😎!

very nice watch and unique look but height is a deal breaker for me!
Another YoureTerrific video, another watch added to the wish list. It’s a dance as old as time…
Wrist watch check : Zenith
Me? No, Marathon.
JEAN JACKET!
Heck yeah
Interesting, but quite easy to find vintage. Matter of taste, but I find the "real" one has much more charm.
Some of the best whiskeys and wines in the world are blends. The same goe's with some watches, but unfortunately this is not one of them IMO
Cool watch at 1500
Too thick. Need the Deepstar II chrono at 39 or 40 mm.
Thanks for the caseback shots! Oh...oh, wait...
"This is gay" Stravos
Nice watch, too expensive
Not a fan, too busy and all over the place, at a quick glance looked more like something the soviets would've made, not the swiss...
Great video, not a handsome watch.
Thicker than a double double animal style and darn near the cost of a used Pelagos…pass
I have a deepstar 2 with a misalligned bezel. 3 emails later - ZERO response! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!
charming but ugh. doesn't seem like, wearable.
Garbage of a watch, at that price. Insane.
sinn is better
Cool watch. Just not $3,779 on a bracelet cool.
Sweet fancy Moses, that is a seriously bUsY watch. 🫤 the dial for sure, but the whole thing, there’s a lot going on.
