Love mine on the BOR. Something about this silver deepstar II that really bonded with me. I honestly didn't give it much chance when I purchased it but it really surprised me and now is my daily wear.
Fantastic presentation. I have been on the verge of buying one since they came out...for some reason never pulled the trigger. Maybe i will now! Love the grey dial.
A nice alternative to most dive watches currently out there. definitely with you on the grains of rice bracelet and then buy the tropic strap latterly.
It’s a great watch. I bought this in the grey dial variant. Overall a charming and refreshing watch compared to more traditional dive watch designs. I only have a couple of gripes with it. #1 the 19mm lug width is frustrating.. yes I know Aquastar does supply many strap options but when you have a collection of 20mm straps that are too big for this watch it’s a bummer. Do either 18 or 20. #2 The bezel action is poor in my opinion. I’ve had worse bezels but they happened to be on $200 watches. When you are spending 1400-1800 depending on if you could pre order or not, the bezel should be substantially better. I would put this bezel on par with a sloppy Seiko turtle. Not trying to be overly negative.. I do love this watch and it has its place in my collection. The fit and finish are great as well as the dial work. I’m also happy with the movement and the straps that are supplied are high quality. I think this watch is worth the money if you factor in the rich Aquastar history as well as everything you get with the execution of this watch. Cheers!
Had bought one of these and ended up not gelling with it at all. A bit too chrome-y at the expense of legibility and a bit too small for my wrist. Bezel was also pretty misaligned. Was a nice watch overall though, Rick is doing a great job with Aquastar.
Am looking to buy myself a birthday present and am tempted by some actual 'New Old Stock' watches - I like this one but its a little pricey for me so might go with a real vintage watch
I have been looking at the chronograph of this for a while now. Just because it’s a little more true to the original. This looks just as good though. Does this version count as a reissue though? I don’t think variation ever existed before.
Looks like the love child of a doxa and a rado. That name though! Just rolls off the tongue lol, they should've gone with the Aquastar deepstar silver star super star five star north star
Interesting Borealis also made somewhat recent announcement of pulling back to restructure their business. Maybe people just don't like the near half-year preorder wait time, even though the prices are fair around $500 average if you can 50/50 installments. Maybe some other issues. But, with my own experience, I think it was BS they wouldn't allow me to return a preordered watch. But, when the production models are fully available and for sale, those are returnable. What and why the hell the difference in return policy? Wonder if any others experienced the same ill-experience and feelings about the brand. This is not a comment about the products as they seem solid. But, maybe more about their business practices.
I own this watch but with the blue starburst dial, it's an outstanding watch. Would have liked an exhibition case back. I understand the history of this watch. But the consumer should be able to select an exhibition case back as an option. That is the only real disappointment for me.
Been waiting for someone to give this gem more coverage, thanks Bruce
I appreciate it
Super dooper all right !dive watch with bling, love it

Killer looking watch!

Thank you, this one was easy to film and photograph!
I cane across this recently and was impressed with it
Never heard of this brand before, it's different but good different. Keep up the work Bruce!! GG!
Finally, we see something else besides microbrands, Seiko, Breitling, Omega and Rolex. Nice watch.
Welcome to my channel. I bring the variety

Great review! Enjoy my Aquastar DeepStar Chrono Greenwich. Looking forward to the new Benthos...patiently waiting.

That one looks great, congrats!
@@BruceWilliams lucky to get on the purchase, only 50 made !!
I've always wanted to get my hands on one of these, and I love this exact dial color combo. Great review as usual Bruce!
Lovely piece, it resembles a doxa a bit, but a nice example of a dive watch.....
Aquastar make some lovely watches
Really like this one too

It seems kinda like champagne silver ..which makes it more awesome
Is there a reason to get this over a doxa though?
Yes. If you like it more than a doxa

Not too shabby

I would count it. It's heavy based on the deepstar.
Bruce, I know you get hauled over the coals occasionally for you pronunciation, but isnt it AquaStar, not AquisStar 😂 5:34
I'm a helpless case.

Borealis' recent guidelines is making me doubt all youtube watch reviews...
Bruce keeps it real !

And notice how I don't feature Borealis and haven't for years
ugh, 37mm at 13.5 tall :-(

Lug to lug is too long for me
Beautiful! Hopefully they will start making them in men sizes
