According to the schematics the bass never utilizes all pickups at once. 1 position is the pittbull. 2 is the pair of p’s in the center. 3 is the pair of p’s closest to the bridge. I own this bass and love it. It’s a great piece of wood.

Great bass. Thanks for the review. You have an amazing store! I love mine in Root Beer Sparkle! It took some effort to find one here in Europe, but it was worth it in the end. One note about the pickup selector. Position 1 selects the two P-blade pups closest to the bridge. Position 2 selects the two P-blade pups closest to the neck. The center P-blade pup is selected in both Positions 1 and 2. Position 3 selects just the Rio Grande Pitbull neck pup. This bass is a beast. It sounds great through both of my amps, a Fender Rumble Studio 40 combo and a GR Bass AT Cube 500 combo. If I really feel like goofing around, I can plug it into the modeling Studio 40 and connect its FX Loop Send to the FX Loop Return on the GR Bass AT Cube 500. I get about the same volume from that configuration as I would with a Fender Rumble Stage 800, but with more flexibility.
