I'd love to see an episode on Deep Heat projectors and the claims made by many professionals that they don't produce as much IR-A as is being made out in the advertising. Are these claims accurate or are these professionals using data that is out of date? How does the arcadia Deep Heat Compare to other brands? And for the average consumer what is the justification behind the higher price point than some of the competitors? One of my favourite podcast episodes was where John broke down why the t5 reflector units cost what they do and the differences between them and the competition as far as components and quality.
"Are these claims accurate or are these professionals using data that is out of date? " Im afraid physics is physics, Carbon filaments operate at much lower kelvin temperatures than tungsten filaments and then of course they do have lower IRa content.
I have three questions, 1.) Is there a breakdown of the supplement cycle for Arcadia's natural multivitamin, mineral supplements? For example, I know for a leopard gecko it should be calcium one day, then multivitamin on another (the day of the week depends on their age.) Are there any changes in the supplement cycle? What products would you recommend for someone new to these products whose trying to convert? I feel like many folk need clarification of which ones they need and for what purpose. 2.) What can you share on a deep heat projector vs. a halogen lamp? Can you use a deep heat projector alone with shade dwellers/ jungle dawns or do you recommend a halogen for daytime and deep heat projector at night? How do they differentiate? 3.) Are there any plans to make an led fixture that creates a lightning effect? Sort of like exo terra terra sky does?( Bonus if there are speakers integrated in the fixture that produces thunder sounds. If it could be daisy chained to the uvb fixtures/jungle dawn even better.) Perhaps a jungle dawn 2.0? In a jungle it rains and having such a feature would be an amazing addition in replicating many reptiles natural environment.
I would love to hear about you mercury bulbs and are they good for iguanas. I would also like to hear about your coil UVB. I never used it but you make them so they must be useful for some reptiles. And how to properly use the coil UVB.
MV has a good use as midday energy when used alongside good T5s. Typically it is used between 11am-2pm to bump things up over this period. We do not make coil compacts only triple U design and these are T5 lamps in a different shape. As such, their impact is always set by the pertinence of reflector used. They should always be used in the horizontal position of course.
Excellent video. I'm having a very hard time finding information on the best T5 for ball pythons in a pvc enclosure (lights on top of the enclosure, not inside). Thanks!
Good evening. I was in a rush in my local pet store and bought an e26 halogen heat lamp. I have a standard zoo-med double dome fixture and seems to be more wiggly than usual. Is it sage or is it a fore hazard. Thanks

what fitting is your dome? if E27 it will be slightly less tight with an E26 lamp.
