Your videos have helped me. I've been driving semi trucks for 26 years but have been in a spotter truck for the last 6years. I just got a new Job were I'm back on the road again. It's been awhile since I've had to shift manual transmission. These videos have really been a blessing to me. Thank you for taking the time too make these videos, they do help even older drivers like myself that need a refresher on shifting.
You are practically the best on UA-cam explaining about the manual shift so far..I’ve learned a lot…big ups..can’t wait for alley dock and parallel parking
I'm sold ! 😂👍... Best video shifting I've seen ..and I've seen aaalloot !..I'm getting my class A soon 🙏.. Awesome how you don't force anything and gears practically fall in by themselves! 👌 ..I'm a new subscriber.👍👍👍👍👍
You make it look so easy lol. Im interested in learning, I actually taught myself how to drive stick shift and now i want trucking to be my new challenge 😎
you got this. A woman who never even drove manual, graduated with her Class A in my class. we were all in shock. If she can do it anybody can do it. Good Luck
Don't push the clutch to the floor until the truck has completely stopped moving! The clutch brake will wear out and break because it is trying to stop the truck. It will grind bad going into gear from a stop if the clutch brake is bad.
That's how it's done boys and girls. This is the same as my training video. The only thing I do different, is I pull Super B trailers, and my weight is usually up there, so I'll start in 1st or 2nd. Excellent driving man!
Yeah this guy is the best. I'm struggling getting from 5 to 6th when loaded. When its empty I can shift find. I'm going to check the rpms to see if I am over reving or something like that
Excellent video. I would love to see a video on when you don't have time to go through all the gears when downshifting. Let's say you have to slow from 60 down 20 without downshifting.
Pretty good video for the new guys. Once you get the timing and sound of your truck figured out you will find yourself up and down shifting at any rpm and speed without even glancing at gauges or thinking about it really.
My guy I kno your floating but no clutch at all? Not even a tap? I bought my 2018 579 2 days ago n it is not the same as the old 2004 Pete I used to float and when I double clutch I’m steady grinding. Any recommendations? Great video wil one
I thought you had to stop at 5th so I’d always hurry to switch gears 😂 then I had a trainer that told me that I could technically stop in 7th or 8th as long as you restart in 2nd or 3rd
Hey👋! So you mentioned that you need to take your foot of the gas to take slip the gear out. But then on the next clip you said to tap on the has to take it out. Kinda confused… Thank you 🙏
But keep an eye on the rpm if.if you dont gas acxurately you cant put it in gear.even by pushing with your legs 😂you might crash cause when you are loaded braking is not recommended cause the tires may get too hot and result to catch a fire
You have time? Like when an asshole pulls out in front of you? Or stops suddenly? No need to panic cuz you can always double clutch and rev match your next gear.
Some people have knowledge but does not know how to teach but this brother has the knowledge and knows how to teach and record as well.

This is the explanation I was looking for! The best video on downshifting...
Grateful you stop by
I 2nd your statement.

Its easy my shifting sucked when i first started

Good video. I have my Class A but haven’t really gotten to drive a rig since October of 2020. Like to watch these videos to keep my head in the game.
I wish I could have done that on my road test. This definitely beats double clutching.
my road tester said it was fine for me to not use the clutch. lol He had been trucking for 30 year. said it's not practical.
@@pokerman9108 I think all trucking schools should teach both methods. Each method has its pros and cons.
@@zacharybishop6595 agreed!
For us in Alabama they just want to see double clutching three times the rest can be floating
you are a good teacher...
Yes nice new truck

Man please, up and down shifting you make it looks so simple, very helpful video, thanks 👍
Thank you so much!! This really helps!!
Dam you seem like the best person to teach Manuel your all calm and you k kw how to explain.

Nice bro 🔥I like

I have followed you well sir , gudeverning.
I have rent a lot from you sir , you are my mentor.
Does this concept work the same as loaded and unloaded
He is the best!!
Appreciate it 🔥
Ma favorite job
When you float the gears, do you just let off the gas?
THANK U FOR UR VIDEO I WILL HAVE TEST AT 19 NOVEMBER I PRAY TO DO WELL AND PASS
So educative, thanks a lot!
Thanks for the tutorial 😀, with you up shifting with the high rpm , are you using the clutch?
🙏 thanks

When up shifting ease off the gas then shift however, when down shifting tap on the gas gently to release the shifter out of gear.
@@FaroutTruckin thank you
The best tutorial
👍 keep trucking driver.
Nice!
So do trucks also need biting point when moving from a stationery.
Yes, once it’s a manual.
So... you're not burning up the clutch brake then right :) ?
Are you braking with your left foot when using your right to gas it into neutral?
No, don’t try that.
@@FaroutTruckin How do you handle downshifting when going downhill?
@@stevencolbert2304 check out EP. 06 where I did a video on selecting the right gear.
Are you touching the clutch at all when you blip to 1400 and downshift?
No
One hand on the wheel ?
Gottuh grinde em to find em, lol!
His he double clutching ?
Floating gears here; check my other videos for double clutching.
..so why use clutch at all when driving? Why do schools ,and DMV insist on double clutching?
Now add your 13, 15, and 18 vid.
Thanks for the video i wish my teacher was as good of explaining this as you he’s a dick lol
😆🤦♂️

But he’s not double clutching on downshifting which would result in a fail on a test
Rookie 🤦🏾 😂
I would like to see a video shifting going up a hill,
Looks like that LIE 459
You see this guy? He's not using the clutch right? That's because you don't have to! Double clutching is stupid and unnecessary.
😂🤣
Manual wastes so much fuel bobo
