    I love videos like this. I stopped working on cars when I had a 2000 VW Golf because it was too difficult (for me), but Scion xBs are ridiculously easy to work on and your video proves that yet again. At 253k miles and counting 😊

      Thank you for the kind words!
      Mine is almost at 200k. Not too far behind! Did you get your 200k mile club sticker from Toyota yet?

      Did this job in the evening in the garage. Accidentally snapped one of the top bolts. Good thing they were just press fit in and I pulled one from the old one. Close call. 😅@@M2Motoring

    Thank you, this was helpful for my 2005 and 2006 Gen I xBs. I like that you did both front and rear. I'm wanting to lift the rear 2" or 3" to tow a Harbor Freight trailer without it scraping, and my 2005 I already have new struts and need to install them. It's good to see how you approach this job.

      You’re welcome and glad the content is helpful. I don’t know if they make it anymore but look at airlift’s tow leveling kit for the rear. I believe they use to have a setup that fit the xb that goes in the rear and can be airred up to level out for towing.

    Thank Dude my box is in dire need of new shocks and strutsits a 05 and still rolling on the factory ones going with coil overs all the way around. You were a big help with this project I didn't think like other videos showed of taking out all the hood cowl ,you saved me a lot of wrench time. Thanks.

    How’s the KYB - Excel - G shocks and struts going so far?
    Are they a little firm as others said?
    How’s the body roll with them? And how much u pay for a set? Maybe around $330?

    • @M2Motoring
      @M2Motoring  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi . It’s going well. In terms of firmness with the oem springs , I honestly wouldn’t know as I’m on lowering springs. My shocks prior were all blown so this is a far better refresh. It doesn’t seem firm to me but rather it helps eliminate some of the sloppiness of the oem springs. There’s still body roll as it’s a regular shock and lowering spring combo but much better than oem. I forgot what I paid as this video was done a while back but kyb had a rebate promotion so if I remember correctly, about $150-200.

      @@M2Motoring oh no shit. I bet that was fun back then.
      The KYB excel G shocks and struts are an excellent oem replacement.
      I honestly wish if KYB makes monotube shocks like Gas-a-just for all models..
      Even if it’s not huge demand.
      So my next question is, why choose KYB over other brand?

    • @M2Motoring
      @M2Motoring  6 місяців тому +1

      Just a brand I’ve been using forever on various cars and I’ve never had a band experience with them. They’re a great value for what you get brand.

      @@M2Motoring u only get them with just shocks and struts and not the strut plus?
      I know those are sweet set: but I heard some people had bad experience with a front strut plus.

    If i like the stock height i most likely only need a new strut right? Lots if miles and im sure its all original. They just suck over speed bumps and the rude is rough.

    • @M2Motoring

    I dont know why but i cant get the the struct to align back with the two bolts.

    • @M2Motoring
      @M2Motoring  3 місяці тому +1

      I just saw this after I replied. The one trick I do is use a lflat head to push through the hole and the hole on the knuckle and use that to help align . If the knuckle is out of sorts you’ll have to move it a little and get it back into its spot

    • @eddieyan5529
      @eddieyan5529 3 місяці тому

      @M2Motoring thank you for the advice. The problem was I only had one side jacked up and the sway bar prevents the struct to align correctly.
