Hi guys! 19:10, the scissors are to put out the candles. 28:11, it is to put the food to keep it warm. 33:15, Polaroid instant camera, you could have your picture straight from the camera. Nice song from David Silvian with his band Japan, the song is called: Gentleman Take Polaroids (when they fall in love), figure out why. 36:25, a square piano it is called. 41:50, it seems the mansion has been refurbished in the late 60's or beginning 70's. Typical modern tiles from that era. It makes now sense to me, as some classical furniture are also made around that time, and the place is not 'uniformly furnished, but more of a bit of everything. Does the family name matches with the heraldic signs? 43:15, it has a label, but haven't been taken out as it is a 1960's modern classic chique chandelier. Those chrystal ones downstairs are seriously expensive. 45:50, the British call the French 'Froggies' as they eat frogs (you are what thou eat, like English London Tower wards also called Beefeaters). 1:00 Banderillas, used for bullfights. 10:03.30. German soldiers gear, the tube was to carry the gas mask. Most probably WWI, as the WWII had some strips. The mask shape is from the tin holder. www.thingsmilitary.com/field-equipment/wwi-german-gas-mask-can-strap/ 1:04.05, Greek or Roman tax collector? (time is money!) 1:05:05, nope, it is the mother in law false teeth :P. 1:05:58, the bed matches the age of the mansion, it is called 'Empire' because of Bonaparte. A lot of brass was used to make accentuation's on the design. There was also one of this kind downstairs. After Empire came Biedermeier, called Willem III in NL design, a bit different. 1:06:20, fake decoration, like the historical souvenir sword, with the point made safe with a ball, and not sharp, later there were two florets, used for fencing (schermen in NL) like the three Musketeers.1:07:22, real sword, fake knights iron glove (once i had a complete knights armour, fake as it was not antique, but made exactly as they used to be). 1:07:28, the souvenir sword. 1:13:55, it seems this is a ceremonial or signal cannon that can shoot if it has a little hole above on the back for the wick or flint, and it does seemingly, now, next time stick a stick inside the barrel to measure the depth, or shine the lamp inside and make sure the wick-hole is clear, you'll see light shining through, then it shoots, be sure of it, weapon laws were different in the old days.. 1:14:37, what kills me are large mansions made in 15 minutes video's, such a disgrace! You are doing the right thing. Great job! Thou, you forgot a door or two in the hall, maybe storage doors. 1:15:21, there is no architects drawing table. (priceless tables when vintage!) 1:18:35, another Empire style bed, kind of Cleopatra model. 1:21:11, 100% flute, shepherds flute maybe. I loved this video, thank you guys.
The yeoman warders at the tower of London are not called beefeaters because they eat beef. Back in the medieval times, they used to guard the “buffets” which were side tables that gold and silver plate were displayed on so royalty could show off their wealth. Therefore they were called “buffeteers”. and it’s been changed to beefeaters.
I so enjoy watching you guys explore these places and the respect you give to them all. Wish I were 50 yrs. younger and had plenty of money as I would do the same thing. Just to be blessed enough to be able to touch some of those antiques and the architecture. Amazing stuff. Keep up the great explores and thanks for taking me and everyone else along with you. Stay safe Maureno and Remon.
Hi there Patricia! Thank you very much for your lovely comment. It's a pleasure for us to read that you enjoy our perspective on these places and the respect in which we document them. We will definitely keep it up and you are very welcome to go on each exploration together with us in this way. Stay safe as well and see you at the next exploration! :)
It is a damn shame this property has been abandoned. The original owners worked too hard for all their stuff to just sit there or be fought over. I would absolutely love to know the full history of this property. I hope the remaining family can come to an agreement soon or everything will be worthless. This house is too beautiful to just let it sit, hopefully someone can restore it and enjoy it for another 100 years and make more memories and add to its already rich history. It's sad to see everything left behind. I absolutely loved this home and all it's belongings, I could spend all day in there and still not see everything so I appreciate the longer videos. You boys and Bros of Decay find the most exquisite abandoned homes.
О да! Братья масоны очень много работают! Веками...😂😂😂 Вчера ковид, сегодня прививки, завтра война 😢😢😢. Ворованное веками брахло даже сохранять некогда
Please, make these as long as they need to be!! I Never get bored and I often wish you'd show even more!!! This place is like a dream come true for an explorer, WOW
So nice to see the respect given to the items and anonymity of location. I so hope all pieces are protected and distributed asap for the item's safety.and preservation. The heater cabinet was not for coals, but for warming sheets and towels. 😊
Every time you guys open a cupboard or draws, l expect a mouse or rat to jump out, lol 😆. You show respect for people’s property , which is just fantastic.
Do you mean the best used by date on the liquid nourishment? He passed over most of the spectacular cut crystal, expensive and intricate china, as well as those magnificent vases. But we got to see manky shoes inside a closet with clear detail. Not to mention them freaking out whenever they went near spiders webs, lol. I believe they need to get better at the details of what's actually important about these fantastic old homes. I think I'll come back in a year when they know what they're doing.
@@MrsNickysMom420 , it seems they are nice young men, just not yet as knowledgeable of what items are that they are seeing. I would like to see the oldest books they come across. There is much to conjuncture from what was of interest to the house owners. History is fascinating!
Re watched this video again in 2022 and was just as amazed as the first time! What an absolutely gorgeous house filled with beautiful antiques and decor, a real pleasure to watch again. Well done boys.🦘😊😉
Oh my goodness, I must say you guys have some of the best exploration video's on UA-cam.. I love how you take such time to show us all the beautiful details, its like being right there with you.. your explores are simply breathtaking.
It seems they took nothing with them, at least it would be hard to imagine that somebody would own even more stuff than there is present inside of this property. You are very welcome. It is important to keep these locations private, because most persons would just steal stuff in order to make money out of it e.g.
This is so very beautiful and yet sad. The beautifully furnished rooms look as though they have been there a very long time. I just feel whoever lived there last were not the people who furnished this mansion. It really is not in bad condition . I hope the beautiful mansion will be loved again.
Taking too long really won’t happen when a property is of this magnitude. Please show everything and trust that I will watch, as I’m sure others will also even if it’s five hours long! I’ve watched this 4 times already. ❤ from Iowa, USA
The painted cabinet in that wonderful room is incredible. I pray someone who owns the place will go in and rescue all those beautiful antiques, especially that special cabinet. Thank you guys for showing this and for being so respectful. This is my favorite place so far of your travels.
Some people, in these modern days, can be too impatient. The instant gratification demanded by society has led to many being almost incapable of enjoying life in a leisurely manner. But as for me, taking the time to capture this place completely, is just another way of paying respect to the family who lived here. I would enjoy longer investigations that you choose to present. I just really think you are doing a great job. 👍🖖✌️🤙
Hi Ray, we are very delighted to read you interpret our time and compassion we show to these homes as a way to memorize and pay respect to the lives of the people who lived here, as this is one of our main values where we stand for. Thank you very much for watching the videos and hope to see you at the next adventure again! :)
I love the longer videos, because then, we get to see all the awesome history. It's so sad that this house that once was full of life is now just sitting and slowly going away. You can see how people used to live. Thank you for taking your time to let us see all the wonderful things in this beautiful house.
I am a french Canadian and thank you for sharing those wonderful old houses or mansions that tells us a bit of those families stories. I wish you would give more details.
Truly loved it guys, can you imagine Living or staying in a small apartment, or small house , after growing in something so hugh and grand as this, I think I would feel as if I were in a cage. These place are so large and hung, tall ceiling , hugh, high doors , totally awesome, thanks as always, and for all the respect for the many things left behind.
That radiator with the doors in it was for warming things..like pies towels anything you wanted to keep warm.. I cant believe there are so many houses in france just abandoned..and so many beautiful things left to go to ruin if they dont do anything with it.. God job Maureno and Ramon.. Love you guys..💞
That's such a strange idea! Thank you anyways for letting us know Sheree, as always it is very much appreciated if you share your knowledge with us. For us, it is still hard to believe as well, how many of these beautiful homes, just get left with all the interior still present. Thank you very much for watching the videos, and much love back to you!
Explomo, I really appreciated that you said up front that it would be a long video. I went and completed my work, got a cup of coffee and sat down to enjoy the whole video. It was a magnificent explore. So much was there and you did a good job of showing us so many of the antiques, the knick knacks, the beautiful wall covering and drapery. And, as usual, you treated everything with such respect and care. I love looking at your faces when you see some of the treasures these places bring. Thank you for giving my Sunday a major thrill!
The empty frames above the beds are crowns and would have been used to hold fabric which would wrap around the bed like curtains in the winter in houses which were not heated. Fabric was cleaned and stored in the summer.
Yes we thought so too! A similar hanger was still present together with the fabric in the little girls' bed room. However, the bed in this room was taken out. Thank you anyways for letting us know Devora! :)
I love that you take time to go through every room! This house is amazing and I hope that someone who appreciates this home and everything in it will repair and start to maintain it. Do you ever go through land records and research previous owners. I would find out who if anyone pays the land taxes. Here in the US, each state is different, but places like this are sold for the taxes. Thanks for the tour!
I love the length of your videos. How you show everything in detail is fantastic. The places you explore absolutely deserve to be shown in detail. I admire how you guys take great care not to damage anything in the process and respect you for leaving everything. These properties should be museums. It blows my mind the age and value of the items left behind. Books and photos are my favorite finds. Thank you for sharing your explorations with us. I’m am from the United States so I would never have seen these places otherwise. 🙏🏼❤️
Such a gorgeous mansion! I'm not sure if this is how they do it in France, but the stickers in the furniture and antiques look like someone was cataloging them, possibly for insurance purposes or auction. something may have happened (inheritance or ownership dispute?) to prevent them from removing the items from the mansion. I do hope they are eventually saved. I love the fact that you took the time to explore and share, I didn't mind that it was over an hour. Great find, guys!
Thank you very much Patricia! The stickers could have been for an auction, but in France it is rather common that the inheritance of this place has not met an agreement about the shares yet. They are still disputing about who gets what, and their names will be written on the divided belongings. Also appreciate you sharing your opinion about the time-length of the video. Happy to hear you like it in this way and enjoy seeing this place through our perspective. Take care and see you at the next one :)
One of the problems with everyone saying that they respect people's property is the fact that someone owns this property. The person may live in a care facility, and or could have died with or without a will. The executor is rounding heirs of said property If you are so respectful why then do you handle every single piece of antique, pictures, books, things that need to be conserved not touched by some moronic, idiotic, house burglar. Burglary is defined as entry into a building even through open doors. If you break in it becomes, breaking and entering with the intent to burglarize. Don't have to steal anything. Some of you people are ignorant. Burglary and B I are both felonies in the USA....they are not abandoned.
Personially I feel they tried an online actionand things didn't sel this house should. Be turned into a museum enough should be sold to fix the roof and interior. To find owner go tax office
If your videos tend to run long....let them:) We want to see everything and don't get bored (that's why we watch your channel). Keep up the great vids!
When you find a place that is so magnificent , so many things to see, you just don't know what will be next. It doesn't seem like it's long, because we're right there with you, discovering new and unusual things, and appreciating so much beauty.
Thank you , guys. The video was not long at all , I enjoyed every minute of these authentic interiors that were so well kept for many generations. Different time styles from Renaissance baroque , rococo, to the Empire style library and study . That´s HERE a classical noble family mansion with all the traditional settings of rooms for family members, for guests and for service personal which was also very large to keep this building and garden around nice and clean ! THANK YOU!
I am so amazed! Boring is the furthest from truth. You 2 made this so interesting and detailed there was no time for being bored. You timed it perfectly, not too long but long enough on each exquisite find. I'm so glad there were tags cause that tells me it's not abandoned by choice and someone will be back for the property. I so appreciate the respect you both show. One thing I wish we could have seen - at the beginning in the foyer there was a door matching the wall paper and the board, I was really going you would have shown us behind the door. Also was there no basement? There's windows underground. Do you guys look for hidden doors? Love the video!
I too was wondering about that door so I went back thru the video, turns out that "secret room" was the hallway where the logs were for the fireplace. Look at 17:57 and you'll see. My guess is that was originally the hallway for the servants to walk down without being seen by guests.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but the white water heater, the "radiator" with the doors and some selves inside was used to heat up quilts for a nice warm transition to bed. 😀
Ty for that info. I figured it was just a way to make a radiator not stand out so much in a room, to kind of pretty it up. Pretty cool to learn it's actual purpose.
You did a wonderful job of paying homage to this amazing house! I didn’t want the video to end! LoL! It’s difficult to imagine someone just walking away from this, what an incredible find. And sooo many bathrooms! Wow! Thank you for doing this walk through & taking your time. You were so respectful.❤️
This is my 2nd viewing; as this manor is one of your very best finds. I appreciate how you film and comment on what you see and am grateful to come along for the ride. Thanks guys!
So badly I want to know about the people who had this place etc. Why was it abandoned,??? It's still in good shape. I pray someone makes it a home again. Makes my heart aches it's so wonderful!!
Hi guys I'm writing from Michigan City Indiana here in the United States. I just caught this episode and took the walk with you as you toured this gorgeous manor. You found an old heating gas radiator with two doors there within a room and if my memory serves me correctly those were used to put crockery in to have food heated if you needed to be out for a bit. You could put food in to cook and maybe go out for a visit or possibly to work and your food would be kept warm. Also if within a bathroom they could heat towels or a blanket for a few minutes for bed. They could have many more uses but I've only read about them being used for food and possibly linens. I've truly enjoyed watching your videos and I will certainly be watching for more. Your accents are so beautiful and you both are so sweet and charming and your mother's should be very proud. The way you were so respectful of every item and careful to preserve each room you entered. I've enjoyed this tour with you greatly. Stay blessed and safe and I'm looking forward to more videos.
Yes exactly Kaye! It was liked she stopped for a moment with sewing one day and the next day never returned. A very strange idea. Anyways, thank you for watching and hope you've enjoyed it! :-)
Love the hidden door in that main hallway. Still marvel at how preserved abandoned houses are in Europe. Can't believe houses like this are just left. It's amazing.
Thanks so much for this video, such an amazing one indeed, it's great for your French tour.... when you go through the books, papers or documents I can read everything, my first language is French.... I'll be honest... even if sometimes I am afraid that you showcase other people's home without their permission, I sincerely think you and your friend Remon are actually very respectful and caution of the sites you visit and explore therefore, I thank you in anticipation for always taking the same careful and honorable approach to these memorable time capsules and vestige....much appreciated... Take care and carry on sharing your wonderful adventures with us.... Cheers B
At 19:10. it is not a scissor. It is for taking sugar cubes with (for coffee or tea). (We had seen such when I was young, at home and at my grandparents.)
Thank you for taking the time to show all of the rooms in this beautifully decorated home. It is incredible and I really appreciate the time and effort you took to show us everything. Thank you and be safe!!
Great to see Remon back with Maureno - you make such a good team. Hopefully, someone from the family will save all the contents of this house - so many beautiful things in there. Thank you for sharing with us. Take care and be safe :-)
Hi there Michael! Happy you liked to see Remon with me again. We truly hope someone will save the contents of this house very soon too. You are very welcome, we will stay safe and hope you'll take care too. See you at the next one! :-)
I am a new subscriber that truly loves your videos. Thank you for your deep respect for the places you go to. If I were an owner, I would not really be too upset at you for the video you made as you are so respectful and appreciate the historical value of every detail. For me, it is the first time I can watch without feeling guilty that someone has broken and entered with rude intentions. You are not thieves and that makes the difference! The lamps of the little girls were Shirley Temple lamps. In the 1930's they were popular. LOVE your videos. Love the detail, don't worry about the length. If we are watching, we want to see all the little details as we cannot go there but in our dreams. I am old, and unwell but love to travel, and now I can with you. Be careful, and God Bless from the USA
Hands down, this is my absolute, number one favorite "explore an abandoned" ever!! This is my first time watching y'all and you didn't disappoint at all! I love the attention to detail, and just admiring the property. Y'all are awesome and I'll totally be stickin' around for the next one!! Thank you for sharing!!!
I do hope someone resolves whatever is going on and saves this amazing house! Thank you for being respectful and taking such care. I love the long videos and seeing the details. The reasons I follow your videos. Keep up the great work!
All the items that have tickets in them have been Cataloged, probably ready to be Auctioned for the family or for the Bank to repossess due to debt. Very beautiful but sad.
Just when I think you exceed mansion explorations you bring this beauty to us. Absolutely mesmerizing, surely not boring!!! Shoot, there could be some VanGough's, Renoir, or maybe a Monet!! There were some beautiful and very old paintings hanging on those walls! In the rock collection, I even saw a big hunk of petrified wood! No doubt, the families that lived here throughout afew decades, perhaps centuries, collected so much (lots of $$) The gas masks were from World War 1! Loved the beautiful curtains. They are very old and very expensive materials. Top of the line antiques, very old. No doubt they are cataloging each piece that most likely will go to auction. Thank you and thank you again for your love of handling each piece. I wish that mansion could talk. What would it say and how much history could it tell us all!!!!!!!!
And we’re not done yet! So many incredible mansions not published yet. Thank you very much for watching and leaving a comment :) love to read the information on all the items!
I look forward to your longer edits. Love the attention to detail. Thank you both for sharing the unseen beauty of hidden life, forgotten memories and the elegance of decay.
All can say is wow wow what a find everything is gorgeous and mind blowing well did lads a big thanks for showing us lets hope and pray all them beautiful things we'll be collected
Hi there Sandra, "wow, wow, wow" is also exactly what went through our heads when we first set foot inside of this place. It was our pleasure showing and documenting this place for you and happy you've enjoyed it! :-)
Thank you for the respect you slways show towards the families involved. You show that you csre for their privacy and for the possessions they LEft behind.
Longer videos …love everything you explore! I’m disabled and stuck in a wheelchair in this gives me a sense of adventure. It’s been a lifesaver. Please go over everything take your time. You’ve passed over a few things that I want you to explore more. Make sure not to miss anything. 😸 yeah🥰
Thank you for letting us know! Many people have been commenting on this topic with a similar answer like yours. We never knew it and are actually quite surprised by it. Very interesting information!
Hey guys! I am german and I´ve just found the best urban explorers that i ever saw in lost place videos! You guys are so respectful towards all the things you explore and of course towards the family that ones lived there! I really adore your videos! Keep on your hobby, I whish you the best of luck to find more of these! :)
At first I was like you guys, speechless at the beauty, but as you went on I found myself getting angrier and angrier. All that incredibly beautiful stuff, just left to rot. It’s very wrong. Selling just one or two of the paintings or furniture would bring in enough to pay someone to look after the house and contents for at least a few years. All the hard work that went into making those fantastic pieces of art, fabrics, musical instruments ect ect. To just leave it with no caretaker, to either decay or be stolen or trashed is WRONG! Omg, that sword was Damascus steel! Literally priceless, honestly, millions of dollars! that’s due to how rare and old it is. I wouldn’t have missed a second of this vid! How do you stop yourselves from stealing bits from the places you come across? Even that wallpaper would be worth a fortune due to its age.
It's really nice to see two young guys being so respectful of these properties you explore. This place is Beautiful, I truly love the urns on the front of the "house". That room with the Beautiful ornate white heater, that could be a dining room and the heater used to keep food warm.?
I thought this video was incredible. The reason is that you walk around looking at every detail, just as I would if I were there! This was a beautiful mansion with remarkable antiques in every room. I saw some things I’d never seen before, just like y’all did. Oh sorry, I have a slow Southern drawl, living in the South. We say y’all instead of you guys. LoL I always smile as I hear y’all talk with your Dutch accents, it’s quite appealing...so much so that you probably have many female fans. {Big grin} Cant wait until the next video, darlin’ 😘 Annie in Tennessee💕
Oh my gosh, I'm speechless. It's my favourite place so far. I already have forgotten the first one that took my breath away; I've followed you from the start but never commented until I got to know your personalities more. I knew you were both honest, genuine and very respectful from the start. What can I say about this place? It's truly magnificent and although I've shed a few tears over places you've shared with us, this one really hurt my heart. 💔 The little girl's room was especially touching. I feel like the manor is alive and feels lonely. Somebody, not me (😠🤬) won the 50 million dollar lottery on Friday. I really thought that I was going to win something! If money like that ever came into my hands I would try and find out how to purchase that place and restore it. It's only a fantasy though. 😢 I just can't decide what I like best. I love the French Chateau's windows; the shutters make the place so dreamy. The architecture stands out first, then the furnishings, then the collectibles. They were all magnificent 🤩 I can't think of a superlative yet to describe this place. I'm sure I'll be editing this comment numerous times. 😆 You both are the epitome of class. I don't say things like that freely, unless they're true. You handled the trolls well: I would have lost my cool and lashed out. I always say this, but thanks for taking us along on this explore.
Hi there Janice, this place also belongs to one of our very favorites. Wow, what a long comment, I'm going to take my time to reply to you! First of all, thank you very much for following and supporting our work since almost the very beginning. I'm happy you've started commenting because this is also a great way for us to get to know our viewers better. I wish it was you who won the lottery. We sometimes also wish we were richer and would have been able to restore many of the properties we have visited and maybe even make a living out of restoring all these sad abandoned places, yet with so much potential in them. French style is one of our favorite styles too. Especially in castles and big manor houses they always have such a majestic and exquisite style in which they decorate everything. It is so stately. Your words are very much appreciated. We might also have said this plenty of times before, but it is our deepest pleasure to take you along with us in these adventures! And thanks a thousand again for becoming one of our Patreon supporters. I've recently read your messages there too and just wanted to reply through this way to you, saying that you should not worry about the 20 dollar tier. You are already supporting us on a big level like this (way more than the average person watching) and we are truly grateful for that. Take care and see you at the next one Janice! :)
@@Explomo I just found out how to post messages on the Patreon page. Always learning something new! 😁 I do love the French style so much. I watch a program on PBS called Escape to the Chateau; it's about a British couple who bought an abandoned castle outside of France, I believe. It's fun to watch how they've renovated the castle over 4 years. But the places you go to actually speak to me more.
I just wanna say that I just spent the last 4 and a half hours watching this video, enjoying all the antique pieces, looking up and researching some. I thoroughly enjoyed this video!!
You asked to leave comment on video length. My Mum and me truely enjoyed the details you included and became very entranced by these people's lives. Very well done.. Thank you for taking us on another tour of hidden lives and their tresures.. Stay safe..
This house reminds me of when I went to a old gold mining town in british columbia canada, it was knee deep in mud streets and everywhere else, but the houses of the people of $$$ were like this place, I remember touring the grandest house there (mayor or someone important) it was as beautiful as this place, in the gift shop I bought a SUPER fancy hat pin....now I don't own or have I ever had hats that require pins but....I held onto that hat pin for a long time! I seen it as one of my most fancy possessions oddly, this house brought back those feelings, holding onto it hoping for a grand future..... CRAZY!!! Love you guys! Xo.
Haha awww sounds like we brought back a great memory to you while showing you this place! Much love back to you Tater, thanks for sharing your story and take care
Love this video! That one white radiator that had that extra opening I believe was a bread warmer - usually found in dining areas - to keep bread warm. I’ve also heard they were used to place wet shoes and other small items that needed quick drying as well... before the invention of dryers
The little girls room is fantastic! I love the color of the rug in her room. None of the bathrooms seem to have toilets. It is an amazing place. I really enjoy the longer videos, especially in mansions like this one.
I never saw a cast iron heater with a built in cabinet with shelves either. It isn't for burning coal as these heaters run on hot water/ steam that circulates through them. I think those little shelves are for drying small items like wet gloves or wet socks/ shoes or something.... Can't imagine why it would be in a room like that unless it was an entry room.
It was a very uncommon yet unique find! Another viewer commented that this was used to keep dishes, like food, warm. It is very hard for me to imagine that, but it might be the truth! Thank you for watching and commenting Jimmy :-)
It was for warming things..somdtimes found in kitchens and dinning rooms..to keep things warm..like pies..towels.. Things like that.. The reason i know about it is because my grandmother had one at her house.. I guess you could use it for alot of things to warm
I really enjoy the longer videos... great job!! What an incredible place, one of your best!! I sure hope the family gets the rest of the stuff out. Can’t wait to see the next one!! Be safe👍
This was such a beautiful place, beautifully shown by your patient video skills. I truly loved every second of it! Honestly, the video does not seem that long. I'm so busy being into it, as if I'm there, and then suddenly it's over. Actually, when I see a long time length on your videos, I get excited... because I know it's going to be good! 👍💌
I absolutely love all the videos you guys make especially the longer ones to see the magnificent era of the antiques absolutely beautiful all these Castles and mansions need to be saved
Awesome job getting all the footage, I love watching all the places you guys explore together & share with everyone. I only wish I could experience half of what you both do. Maybe one day?!? Thank you for taking the time to go into such depth to share with us what you got to see in this mansion. You are correct when you say it’s like a castle 🏰 fur sure! 😍
I think the radiator ( heater ) has shelves with which to warm food before being brought to the table. Every home you find is better than the last. Wonderful job, boys!
@@Explomo Do you know for sure if they just left it all behind..maybe the owner is in a nursing home or care facility or died from covid 19 ...maybe I'm missing something...looks suspicious to me. What's really going on here?.
Nothing but common copycat, Interpol may have an interest in the burglaries your committing since you cross International borders in the process and to carry out the crimes., you will go to jail.
I have a cousin that came from France, Monique I'm very glad you show respect, while looking at the stuff that belongs to others. Thank you for taking your time and showing us the way people across the pond lives.
The hardwood floors and chandeliers are so BEAUTIFUL! I was surprised to see the photo of the striking young man wearing a graduation cap. I’m so curious as to what happened to the owners on this mansion. If u ever find out, please update us. 😊 Awesome tour! Thanks for sharing.
I am praying the family members reclaim this gorgeous mansion and breathe life into it again. So sad to see it just sitting there.....waiting for the family to come home!
Oh my God, I wanted to say thank you for sharing this wonderful, beautiful,,fabulous home. You videos are perfect you show us everything and telling a story about the family . Everything in that house was absolutely amazing to see, MY JAW WAS ON THE FLOOR, YOU HAVE THE BEST CHANNEL, ONE DAY ALL OF THESE BEAUTIFUL HOMES WILL NOT BE KNOWN ANYMORE, THIS WORLD IS NOT THE SAME SOME PEOPLE CAN STEAL FROM THE HOUSE, TRASH IT. HOPE THEY SAVE EVERYTHING BECAUSE IT IS JUST A TIME CAPSULE .I LOVED THIS HOUSE
A professional decorator with great knowledge of French decor decorated this place. Beautiful artwork and some antiques. Amazing that they just abandon places like this. Even though it is decorated in a very traditional and old way it is beautiful. If it were my family home I would never leave it behind with no one repairing leaks. Apparently most of the roof is still good and many of the windows are intact because there is very little deterioration going on in that building except in that one area of the house. It looks like an area of the house that had been remodeled at one time that is in the worst shape. I like how they kept the very old fire place in the kitchen! They must have burned wood in there once upon a time. Even the beautiful wool Oriental carpeting is still in lovely condition. Those rugs need to be removed soon in order to save them. I hope you closed the window up tightly that you entered and exited that place from. Weather is the major killer of buildings. What a shame that the owners did not leave a detailed will concerning who would inherit. Maybe the family just does not care about the place. The outside of the house is deteriorating so it is not going to remain sound for very much longer. There should be someone, a family member or a lawyer, in charge of maintaining the house until matters are settled. Money from the estate should be used to make repairs. The fur coats were not of the very expensive type but would have been very warm. Years ago they did not have all of the synthetic/fake fabrics that clothing is made out of today. They used mostly cotton, wool, and linen, along with leather and animal fur to make clothing back then. I actually prefer natural fibers like cotton and wool. Cotton is cool in the summer and wool is so very warm in the winter time! The skin and fur from animals are very warm and they keep the wind and the rain and snow from chilling the body. They do not put worthless books in cabinets like that. Some were probably first additions. I do believe that the little cannon had been used in the past....probably not for war but some kind of symbolic ceremony. Whoever decorated this place was an expert on French decor. The people who lived there apparently loved the finer things of France.
I enjoyed this magnificent place, incredible. The upholstery, furniture and wallpaper had so many details. It have been wonderful to live in this beautiful fabulous home. Such a shame nobody is there to take care of it, what a shame!
Incredible but very true. Rich people don't even think of inviting a trustworthy person to live in and watch the place. Stupid thought is, the person might steal stuff, but the bad side of it, an unknown person could steal everything because it is not kept under watch, while a watchman is a known individual by many. You know, a small hunting palace belonging to the Dutch Royals has been squatted and little vandalised because no one looked at it?
The very last Room with all the cupboards built into the wall the storage Room I love that concept! I would love to actually do that in my house. It looks like an entire wall but it's all storage! Thank you so much for a great video I always enjoy watching you guys. I really hope they do come and salvage all of those items it would be ashamed to let them just rot. Take care and be safe boy's!
I will watch whatever length you make them. You certainly explored everything thing in detail. I appreciate you going through slowly! I would have loved to see the rock and mineral collection as well as the shells and fossils- in person! The sewing machine is in perfect condition! Thank you for taking your time in this manor!
Yes I am new subscribers and watching long vidios what a wonderful videoand you guys very brave and calm down talking smarter you guys. While I'm watching I'm feeling a little scare because is almost 7 year or 9 year ago. I thinking about the antiques mansion or castles is super expensive them abandoned only for any reason. Wow. Thanks for sharing to us maurino and remon for your time and effort energy to share this video. Stay safe. God bless you both.. Watching your vlogger in the Philippines
I loved this place! So much to look at and I am really glad you took your time to show us. I could of watched this for hours. I wanted to see every little nook and cranny there was even the basement. I am so proud of both of you for how respectful and caring you are. You both are one of the few. I also collect rocks and crystals and when you were showing them I kept saying please get closer. I would love having a enormous collection like that. That was great! Everything you showed was awesome. And I am one that says do the long video because it is definitely worth it. Great video from both of you , much love!
Thank you it's very precious indeed but they just abandoned it. I enjoy watching from the beginning till the end. I love it. I wish that mansion will be restored. It's so beautiful everything in it. Its priceless. The architecture its amazing.once again thank you Explomo.
1:09:33 after seeing the bust with the name cavaignac on it , i did some researsh and apparently this castle belongs to members of the family cavaignac , the bust with moustache is général cavaignac , a general that helped france to conquer algeria , his descendant are doctors hence why some document show some doctor papers on the groung floor. the sword that you showed belongs to the general . so much history it's insane , why would any one refuse to aknowledge where he is from ; such a shame. general cavaignac was actually running for the presidency of france secoind republic but he lost to louis napoleon bonaparte nephew of napoleon bonaparte . this man illustred himself so much he was known to have a lot of reserve but a vaillant commander. he was also a colonialist hence so many colonial stuff , this might be why the descendant don't want to be part of that history , still a shame in my opinion.
YOUR ENGLISH IS SO GOOD!!! I AM AMERICAN AND MUST SAY YOUR VOCABULARY, AND ENGLISH IS FAR BETTER THAN MOST HERE IN THE STATES, THANK YOU! AND I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
You guy are some of the best urban exsplorers!!! I like the long videos!!!! I actually hate it when other chanells that do the same thing, give no history of the place, and rush through. SOme even skip over things. My other favorite exsplorere is also from Polan! Your chanell and his are the only ones I realy watch anymore. Thanks for showing everything!!!
The scrap of material on the sewing machine was to deposit the pins as you removed them while sewing. It's a pin cushion. Thanks for doing these videos. I explored a few abandoned mansions back in my day-long before the internet was available. I appreciate you guys respecting the buildings and contents. Hello from the Midwest, USA! ✌
Don't worry about them being to long, I personally love them, I love the way you show it all with respect, love from Australia
My exact sentiments! I love the details!!!! I will never get to see them otherwise!!!!! So beautiful!!!! Thank you, for sharing it all!
Yes please continue to take your time in the videos we would not be able to see this amazing stuff otherwise it never gets boring
very good
Yes agreed to these others to liking the long video. That was a lovely walk-through. I kept saying "Wow!" over and over. Thank you!
I much prefer them longer so i can see most details instead of a short video with barely anything
Thank you for the information:)
Wow! That’s fantastic information.
Thank you! Keep posting!
you know your stuff my friend
In the end it's just stuff,
Back taxes, the Government steps in and forecloses, they sell off what they can. But once it forecloses, the children own nothing.
Please, make these as long as they need to be!! I Never get bored and I often wish you'd show even more!!! This place is like a dream come true for an explorer, WOW
Exsactly just more to see in one video.
I said this very thing! So glad it don’t happen! 😊
I know. I've been in a few old abandoned places and seen rats and mice. I ran out of the buildings, as I hate rodents. LOL!!
They show respect but there is
Is someone supervising.. Don’t kid oneself.. There are very expensive antiques in there👀
I like that most urban explorers are respectful to the owners privacy and the property itself!
Be safe and explore on!
I loved the video! It gave me a chance to see things I would never get to see otherwise. Glad it was long. I wanted to see everything!
The guys are very through with their investigations... Love it!!
Wow! Truly a masterpiece! It felt like a private tour through a living museum. It didn’t seem long at all.
This house needs to be loved and lived in and brought back to life! What a masterpiece! I am green with envy! Would love a place like that!
Oh my goodness, I must say you guys have some of the best exploration video's on UA-cam.. I love how you take such time to show us all the beautiful details, its like being right there with you.. your explores are simply breathtaking.
Imagine, if this was left behind, what did they take with them????
Thank You for taking such care to protect the identity and location.

Evidently the owner has plenty of money.
Take your time, I actually appreciate it. The details are so exquisite!!!

Thank you for taking your time here! It was definitely worth the time and care that you took! Absolutely stunning find!!
I am a french Canadian and thank you for sharing those wonderful old houses or mansions that tells us a bit of those families stories. I wish you would give more details.
Truly loved it guys, can you imagine
Living or staying in a small apartment, or small house , after growing in something so hugh and grand as this, I think I would feel as if I were in a cage.
yes like the one in the kids room

I love how you guys appreciate Art when you see it.x💕🏴
P]]]
In New Zealand old people often put stickers on items they want different family members to have. I know my mother in law did.
One of the problems with everyone saying that they respect people's property is the fact that someone owns this property. The person may live in a care facility, and or could have died with or without a will. The executor is rounding heirs of said property
If you are so respectful why then do you handle every single piece of antique, pictures, books, things that need to be conserved not touched by some moronic, idiotic, house burglar.
THANK YOU!
Ano skvele video🥰
These homes need to be preserved at all costs.
Some were used to heat food.
Thank you for allowing us time to take the beauty in. What’s left behind can tell so many stories.
Many homes are left to rot the potential in these places guys I'm watching from Delaware just a beautiful mansion!
Very well said. I agree! 😊
On the singer sewing machine, the fabric wrapped around the arm of the machine is what we seamstresses use to put our pins as we see.
Yes exactly Kaye! It was liked she stopped for a moment with sewing one day and the next day never returned. A very strange idea.
Anyways, thank you for watching and hope you've enjoyed it! :-)

{Big grin} Cant wait until the next video, darlin’ 😘

You both are the epitome of class.
I do love the French style so much. I watch a program on PBS called Escape to the Chateau; it's about a British couple who bought an abandoned castle outside of France, I believe. It's fun to watch how they've renovated the castle over 4 years. But the places you go to actually speak to me more.
@@JaniceWithTheTarlovCysts you watch the chautue diarios, with stephanie javis, you would love this chautue and stephanie..
@@Explomo awww ☺
Amazing guys just Amazing and Loved reading the comments
Thanx
I just wanna say that I just spent the last 4 and a half hours watching this video, enjoying all the antique pieces, looking up and researching some. I thoroughly enjoyed this video!!
You asked to leave comment on video length. My Mum and me truely enjoyed the details you included and became very entranced by these people's lives. Very well done.. Thank you for taking us on another tour of hidden lives and their tresures.. Stay safe..
The blue bendy thing Remon had in his hand is for making curls for the woman
Thank you for letting us know Dorothy! Hope you enjoyed it :-)
@@Explomo I absolutely did x
.Still used today....I've got them in pink from ASDA
@@Explomo I'm pretty sure you guys have no permission to be in that house..Correct me if I'm wrong please.
@@masonsimpson4296 so?
Great one guys glad you've blurred some of the details of the place to protect it
This house reminds me of when I went to a old gold mining town in british columbia canada, it was knee deep in mud streets and everywhere else, but the houses of the people of $$$ were like this place, I remember touring the grandest house there (mayor or someone important) it was as beautiful as this place, in the gift shop I bought a SUPER fancy hat pin....now I don't own or have I ever had hats that require pins but....I held onto that hat pin for a long time!
Jimmy I would have to agree with you on that.
It was a very uncommon yet unique find! Another viewer commented that this was used to keep dishes, like food, warm. It is very hard for me to imagine that, but it might be the truth!
Thank you for watching and commenting Jimmy :-)
@@Explomo Yes, that's it. And for sure, you can dry fruit in it, or flowers. Even dry your socks and gloves, lol. Call it a 'rechaud' compartment.
I so admire your efforts to keep this beautiful home safe 💖
Most amazing Mansion I've ever seen because of all these treasures laying inside.
Thank you so much Irene! This is one of our very favourites too, so many unique antique furniture and belongings just left behind. Unbelievable.
U have the most soothing voice to listen to while unwinding and going to sleep. I think I will watch a new episode before bedtime. So relaxing.
I have a cousin that came from France, Monique I'm very glad you show respect, while looking at the stuff that belongs to others. Thank you for taking your time and showing us the way people across the pond lives.
You guys are the best! Thanks for all your hard work and your respect for these places.
I love the longer videos, I would even watch them if they were 5+ hours just I could see everything. Thank you for what you do
Let them be long🙌 love seeing everything and being on the journey too
Oh my God, I wanted to say thank you for sharing this wonderful, beautiful,,fabulous home.
I love seeing the lives people live and their personalities. I love the long videos
Yes why they did not even have a care taker of their home just leave it like that..unbeleivable people they are..
It can’t be too long when we can stop and restart at any time. I like it much better when you take your time and go over everything. Thank You.
Thank you for taking your time and showing us the house it was very beautiful too bad it has to be abandoned 👍
Incredible!! Really loved exploring this with you.
AND I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
that is sad
@StagnantMizu, I think he was a naturalized US citizen and uneducated because he kept yelling since the beginning of his comments.
