Seeing abandoned places like this can really give a person second thoughts. Collecting stuff to the point of being invaded by it, is absurd. I sometimes feel that some people don't realize it's to late. Thank you all for this unique tour.
Most people who hoard have experienced some kind of trauma. Some its a connection to a dead loved one. I collect but you see what I have. This person may at one time have had a wonderfull house will all nick backs on show.Time has no respect for order..😊
Just love how excited you guys get and having a laugh. I think The Antiques Road Show could get a whole series out of going through all the stuff that’s been left. Would be great if it was donated to charity so as they could get some money to help those less fortunate. Brilliant work guys, it’s gonna take some place extra special to top this one. 👍😊
This is a clear example as to how some people still have the virtues of Honesty & Respect in their souls!!! Hard to find in mankind today! Abba Yah bless you guys for having them !!!
Honesty and respect lol. What about letting good things rot because some poor soul died. They are gone , in another realm , floating in space, meeting the gods and loved ones gone before, you think they care about their earthly possessions. Loot that place till it's bare, I say. When I'm dead, anyone is welcome to all my stuff too, id rather someone put it to good use, or sell it , than for it rot and decay out of some kind of ridiculous respect rubbish. Stuff just being left to rot should be a crime.
The decanters in the toilet are a tantilus ( tantilise)- the master locked up the spirits so the servants couldn't grab a quick tipple. NZ$1200 approx. The mouse at 6:40 holding its tail is a Hagen Renaker glossy Timothy mouse. It should have a hat. But that's a good collectors item there. Not hugely pricy, but still collectable. I have one in a matte finish. Too bad it's sitting there in a house that'll collapse at some point. And too bad the heirs won't allow salvagers to go through the house and pick out the stuff that other people would love to purchase. At 21:34 those horses, the palomino, the bay and the two foals are Beswicks and are also collector items. It's so frustrating to see them just sitting there. I don't recognize the horse at 24:27 but it's very nice.
