    Great video. I was a metal building erector for 40 years. Truly enjoyed my work. No one had equipment like you have then to pick up your steel. I only had a forklift but it done the job.
    Keep up the good work and vidoes. Utube can get your business started and make you some money. I subscribed. Looking forward for your next video.

    @gateway builders Nice work. I am curious is this more cost-effective than ordering a prefab red iron building? What is the main reason for stick building versus prefab in this instance. Thanks for posting

      It the moment weld up buildings are the most cost effective shop. Bolt ups are more expensive because your paying a material supplier to fabricate

      Thank you! I would put a stud wall up and decking if I was doing stucco. Or you may be able to drill the foam board to the exterior metal sheeting and do it that way. Not real sure on that one

    Hello and greetings. I would like to thank you for recording such videos, which help people like me a lot. I have a request from you. My request is that you help me to build the halls I want. My hall has an opening of 30 meters, but without the middle column at a height of 6 meters. I want to know with what size H beam I can build these halls. I will build it. Of course, if the opening is 30 meters, it will answer. If it doesn't answer, I can make the opening of the shed up to 23 meters. I am waiting for your correct answer. I thank you again for your help. I wish you a good day.

    • @GatewayBuilders
      @GatewayBuilders  3 роки тому +4

      Yes depending on gable vs flat roofs we have different ibeam that support different weights.
      On a normal 30ft wide build we use 8” 15#, but on a 40ft wide we use 12” 16# or 19#.
