    Any particular reason why your welders don’t remove the slag after every weld to inspect the weld

    • @GatewayBuilders
      @GatewayBuilders 4 місяці тому

      I see them removing slag all the time while welding, I guess if you weld 24/7 you start to get a feel for it. But to answer the question they do remove slag all the time

    Great project, as a DIY guy, I learned a lot, thank you. This video gave me the confidence to build my own 15x26 lean-to cabin at my property. My plan is to use 4x4 by 11 gage colums with girts every 4ft. The columns will be 13ft oc. Also thinking of building it as a bolt on, since i dont weld. Thoughts?

      Man that’s great. Love hearing about your successful build. 11G 4x4 with 6” purlin spanned 13’ on 4’ centers will work great. 👍

    What are you attaching the strips coming out of the building too? Are you welding them onto the red iron?

    • @GatewayBuilders

      Yes we weld them directly to the column on the interior. 👍

    Really appreciate you showing how it is done. Do you weld some sort of plate to the top of your posts for the beam to sit on or is the post open at the top?

    Hello and greetings. I would like to thank you for recording such videos, which help people like me a lot. I have a request from you. My request is that you help me to build the halls I want. My hall has an opening of 30 meters, but without the middle column at a height of 6 meters. I want to know with what size H beam I can build these halls. I will build it. Of course, if the opening is 30 meters, it will answer. If it doesn't answer, I can make the opening of the shed up to 23 meters. I am waiting for your correct answer. I thank you again for your help. I wish you a good day.

    سلام و درود. من می خواهم از شما برای ضبط چنین فیلم هایی تشکر کنم، که به افرادی مانند من کمک زیادی می کند. یه درخواست ازت دارم درخواست من این است که به من کمک کنید تا سالن هایی را که می خواهم بسازم. سالن من دارای دهانه 30 متری است، اما بدون ستون میانی در ارتفاع 6 متری. من می خواهم بدانم که با چه اندازه H beam می توانم این سالن ها را بسازم. من ان را خواهم ساخت. البته اگر افتتاحیه 30 متر باشد، پاسخ خواهد داد. اگر جواب ندهد، می توانم باز کردن انبار را تا 23 متر انجام دهم. منتظر پاسخ صحیح شما هستم. من دوباره از شما برای کمک شما تشکر می کنم. روز خوبی رو برات ارزو میکنم

    I’m wanting to build a couple of metal buildings on my property, and I’ve never built one before, I’ve built lots of pipe fence but no metal buildings yet. Your video is the best one I’ve seen. I learned a lot just from watching it. I like how you go through each step in detail, up close camera angles, and explain how to get the roof the pitch, the measurements, which beams to use, which purlins and angles to use. Very nicely done !
