This band has a chemistry unmatched. Three guitars at unison or separately creating a mind blowing melody. The awesome rhythm of one of a kind bassist and percussionist. With a vocalist like the powerful voice of Bruce Dickerson. Who survived throat cancer
Hi guys, I'm brazilian, from Rio. I was there that day, as I was also in 1985, at the very first Rock in Rio festival. Both shows were spectacular! This one you've reacted to was particularly splendid, as the sound engeneering was, as you noticed, cristal clear, loud, powerful and the band was working together as a symphony. I've been to many shows since very young age (the first was Van Halen, 1982, then KISS 1983) and I am sure that Iron Maiden presented the two best shows in my life.
This and the 99 tour was really something special. And remember Bruce words in 2000: I never gonna leave Maiden again! 21 years later they are still here. Maiden forever 🤘🙏
Thank you very much, Iron Maiden are the greatest band on the earth, all the way from stage set up, sound engineering, sound equipment, pyrotechnics, they travel with 20 tons of equipment on their jet, they are phenomenal live and I know this because I got to see them perform in the Tacoma dome several years ago and I was blown away. Iron Maiden are my favorite metal band ever since I was 12 years old. Thank you both so much. Sincerely Lorenzo gig harbor Washington.
@@mrmanakin9684 well we all have our opinion, for many they are the greatest and for those who trust music businesses like you mentioned in one of your other comments, they'll go for bands like Metallica who aren't that bad either to be honest.
This song is absolute fire🔥🔥🔥🔥It sometimes gets overlooked due to the vast Maiden catalogue, but it's an awesome song and even better live. Love the reaction!
I absolutely love the Rock in Rio Live set. Possibly the best show ever played and attended. The power and technical ability is unmatched by any other artists. Thanks Gaz
@@godcaoss yeah but every time i see this show, i think It could not be topped on performance, audio mix, and hypnotizing factor. Nightwish waken Is cool, but feels a Little bit weaker than this.
Is hypnotic with purpose. Please know that this mastery we see in music back then (still controlled today by elite) is too good. You think YOU can be a rock star?..NEVER unless you have the connections to these people. This men were put in music school since they were children. Money & power controls everything. Who then has this cuz it ain't any of us. These are not musicians that came from where we are at. They are connected either by blood or other ties that operate within this social club. Wake up ya'll! The more fans we are, the more money & power we give them! YES. Iron Maiden don't control all money brought in from concerts & sales. They are given a portion & the upper elite take the rest. This band works FOR these elite.
This a Blaze Bailey era song . 1995 . The '' X factor '' album ... Beautiful performance... Up the Irons! Composed by Steve Harris , the bassist of the group... Blaze Bailey , was the new member vocalist to the group after Bruce Dickinson left the band, and they hire Blaze Bailey for his place. Nicko McBrain as always a beast behind drums!
From Umberto Eco's "Il Nome della Rosa" Italian famous writer . The X Factor of Bayley Period is a Masterpiece and i appreciated very much his vocal performance . This was the most darking sound album from them . This request is a Masterpiece i was thinking also to this song ! This X Factor Album is of 1995 . One request better than the other my friends . Love you so much and great requesters obviously . Only the solo around 9'15" is ok for the entire price of the very night Festival . Guys the t shirt of Suzi has a Cross Upon . Around 5'02" respect Sir Travis ! Also in my opinion it is indeed ipnotic ❤
Have to agree here. Love the X Factor album with BB singing, he did a great job. Please listen to the studio version of this song and that album as a whole.
Here they played to approximately 250,000 people the second largest crowd of their career (the band's largest concert attendance was their 1985 Rock In Rio performance to an audience of 350,000)
Iron Maiden really is the best Band in the World.. every song I'm like in another world, but not the same world.. it's always another world. I kinda feel like whem I'm gaming I see myself running in a Fantasy world, killing monsters and something like that 😂😂 in the Song "The Clansman" I see myself riding on a horse after Mel Gibson like in the Movie "Braveheart" and literally screaming "FREEDOM!" with him xDD the other two singers of Iron Maiden "Paul di'anno and Blaze Bayley" were amazing, too, but... I honestly think that Bruce Dickinson ist the best thing that could happen to them... He's a Genius and they all together are soo soo Idk how to say, they match perfectly together. I can't tell you how much I love this Band ❤😍😂😂 I needed to share my thoughts about them ty xD
Bought this back in early 2000s when I was like 17 and promised myself I would go see iron maiden at rock in rio some day. And I finally went in 2019 and they played this song!! ❤😁😁🤟🤟
So is this holiday or something That I don't know about. This is the third Maiden song you've done today. Not complaining of course just sayin' I didn't get the memo. Keep up the great work guys. Up the Irons to ya!!!
Great Reaction...Iron Maiden is really Top Tier Music, and that for decades ... Best crowd reaction is Bloodbrothers from the same Show...300000 Hands clapping together Up the Irons 🤘🏻
I always hear this song, and imagine it as a back drop; or tribute to the Knights Templar...... standing against all odds; to defend Jerusalem....... eventually and bravely; representing , their last stand!! At 11:00 the remining Templars ...... riding horses , head long ,in to their last earthly, fight!
I really enjoy watching folk react to the mighty irons. I think you guys appreciate the simple joy of being taken away to another place and just submitting to pure entertainment. It's something that we as fans have had the privilege of being a part of for decades and we always love to welcome others into the fold.
You two are my favorite reactors to any and all Iron Maiden. Keep going, there's so much more. To all the donators who have deep pockets "No more lies" from the Death on the Road dvd is a good one when all three lead guitarist have a lead part in the song. Can't go wrong.
This in my top 5 Iron Maiden songs, I have allways prefered Maidens longer more epics songs, mostly because of the changes during the song and the story telling they do both with the music and the vocals. Each section of a Maiden song has a destinct purpose and ends so up so brilliant. If you have not heard it, you should really listen to Rime of the ancient mariner, the live version from 85 in long beach arena. Such an epic song and my all time favorite song, all bands and genres.
That proggy part that starts around 7:10 reminds me a lot of the part of the much of newer Satellite 15 song about 3:10 in. You can tell if you are a long time Maiden fan that it is a typical Steve Harries writing part Those parts sound almost identical but the part in Satellite 15 song is faster and much longer and builds up to the very good "The Final Frontier" song that is the best song on the album with the same title together with the "Coming Home" song.
Why Iron Maiden is one of the best bands of all time and not just heavy netal but bad ass artists and entertainers. They fucking rock period. Thank you for that. Can you react to "Hi Ren" by Ren. He's the best at storytelling about being psychologically sick.
Iv seen them so meny times over in the 🇬🇧 seen them so meny times at download festival they are epic live and they can still perform and a true English metal band that does slow down just need rocking out!!
Hi folks, can ye look at thin lizzy renegade. As it is a cry for help song from Philo. He was really messd up at the ti.e and I think this song was a cry for help from Philo.
You guys have obviously become Maiden admires. You really should watch the 3 part documentary on you Tube. History of Maiden. Steve Harris , the bassist, had a vision and a dream. Very cool documentary. My fave band forever. Up The Irons!!!
It's easy to forget how great this song was. You see it was the first song on The X Factor album which had Blaze Bailey on vocals. And so we've only got a studio version with Blaze. If Bruce originally sang it, it would have been so badass. Luckily, there a couple Live albums that have a Bruce version on it.
I think Blaze did a great job on this album, but sadly not enough to step out of the shadow of Bruce! I like the studio version, but this one here kicks ass.
Best live band ever.
Absolutely! 👍
Zero doubts about it. Unmatchable energy, paired with insane musicianship and damn good songs as well
Better than “You wanted the best, and you got the best” by a long shot.
Acdc Floyd ?
This band has a chemistry unmatched. Three guitars at unison or separately creating a mind blowing melody. The awesome rhythm of one of a kind bassist and percussionist. With a vocalist like the powerful voice of Bruce Dickerson. Who survived throat cancer
250.000 at audience this day in Rio!

I wouldn't quite call them the greatest to be honest.
@@mrmanakin9684 well we all have our opinion, for many they are the greatest and for those who trust music businesses like you mentioned in one of your other comments, they'll go for bands like Metallica who aren't that bad either to be honest.
They are best...UPTHEIRONS
Yes they are the greatest, who’s gonna top what they have done in nearly 50yrs?? 👍🇬🇧
UP THE IRONS!
Saw this tour in 2000 ... Halford, Queensryche, and Maiden. Three of the best metal vocalists all in one night!
I would have loved to have been there
I saw that show also
(Albuquerque, New Mexico). All three vocalists were in peek form. One of the best, if not the best show I've ever seen!!🤘🤘🤘
Me too! in México City....!!
My leg was Halfords ''fight'' and the Ryche, but also included Lemmy and the boys!!!!
Me too.. turku FINLAND
The drummer - Mr Nicko McBrain is a crazy ,freaky ,awesome dude !!!!
I m glad I m not nicko here, I would screw up totally..
This song is absolute fire🔥🔥🔥🔥It sometimes gets overlooked due to the vast Maiden catalogue, but it's an awesome song and even better live. Love the reaction!
Sign of the cross is my no.1 iron maiden song. It's so good.
Saw them perform this song in the Twin Cities in 2019, it’s probably one of their heaviest hitting songs they’ve got, performing it live.
This could easily be one of the best concerts that was ever performed by any band at any place at any time that's including the production and sound.
This is🤟🤟
100%,a lot of people don’t understand how hard it is to get this amazing quality sound with 3 guitarist you gotta be playing absolutely perfect
I absolutely love the Rock in Rio Live set.
Possibly the best show ever played and attended.
The power and technical ability is unmatched by any other artists.
Thanks
Gaz
For me it is this, Metallica in Seattle 89 and Nightwish Wacken 13
@@godcaoss yeah but every time i see this show, i think It could not be topped on performance, audio mix, and hypnotizing factor. Nightwish waken Is cool, but feels a Little bit weaker than this.

The audio quality still blows my mind

Fantastic live version, maiden put so much effort into their tours that’s why they have the best fans

Iove this song. I wish they would record it with Bruce in the studio. Best song from Blaze's era in the band.
BB has more "soul" I think
By far the best band in the world.
when they start playing backwards only a few bands can do this rush being 1 of them it just makes it class 1000
Here they played to approximately 250,000 people the second largest crowd of their career (the band's largest concert attendance was their 1985 Rock In Rio performance to an audience of 350,000)
One of Maiden's standout live performances. Flawless.
My fav Maiden song in the best show ever!
