yes, thousands of ghost job postings out there. also many companies know they are going to hire internally but are still required to conduct external interviews.
I've been involved in the hiring process as a manager, and I can confirm that companies post job openings and conduct interviews with no intention of hiring. The reason why they do this is: 1. A company with zero job postings on their website looks bad, they post openings just to maintain a fascade that they're performing so well they need additional help. 2. Managers conduct interviews just to fill their calendars with meetings so they can appear like they're actually working... they're not. We all know most managers are useless and spend most of their days in pointless meetings. The sad truth is that they're using candidates as pawns in their game of corporate politics. For those who went on interviews and didn't get the job, don't blame yourself, it wasn't your fault. Most likely the company had no intention of hiring anyone.

I agree with you. The majority of people in America do attach their job to their identity. Sad in a way. It's usually to seem more important, especially if it's a career that sounds prestigious. They'll brag about it online as if they're more important than others. Furthermore, i appreciate how honest you are and your transparency in regard to mental illness. I myself have experienced it and am still going through it. Some people assume it's a light switch that you can turn off whenever you feel like it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. I recently discovered that i have AVPD, so i can totally relate to you. I am still trying my best to stop avoiding certain family members/friends who love me unconditionally. Anyway, my intention was not to make this too long. I am new to your channel, and you have a new subscriber. Please always remain authentic. A person like me truly admires that. God bless you 👑 🙏🏾
I got laid off from my job 2 years ago. Unless you are prepared financially for it (I wasn't), it is scary. Especially when you have a family to keep afloat. It's tough and depressing. But you have two choices, either let it keep you down or you push through it and get back on your feet (you will). I was lucky. In the end i was hired within 30 days of being laid off. It wasn't the best job, but it got me the confidence I needed to move forward. Always plan for these things. Save money when you can. And she's right, once you are past this you will have learned something about yourself and will learn to be more resilient.
I love this now “oldschool” way of UA-cam videos. I wish you good luck! If you have the courage and skills to share your vulnerability and talk about your life situations, you are already ahead of many of us employed and silent.
Me too girl. I’m 27 with an environmental science degree and I’m done with job hopping from evil corp to evil corp. I gotta do my own thing to own my own things.
I’ve been laid off from the last three jobs I’ve had. 2020, 2023 and 2024. It certainly doesn’t make you feel good about yourself but at this point I’m just numb and don’t believe in job security anymore.
While the circumstances you've described are indeed disheartening, it is important to maintain resilience. One must remember that challenges in professional life do not define one's worth. Every setback is a lesson, an opportunity to adapt, and perhaps reevaluate one's path. Do not let the concept of 'job security' overshadow your potential for growth.

I have worked over 30+ jobs since I been 18 and I am 32 now. Just got laid off from my city job in August and just recently quit a physical demanding job last week. Personally I would rather work for myself than under a company who considers you a number rather than a asset. Climbing a corporate ladder doesn't benefit nor excite me. I want nothing more out of life than to work for myself and under no one else.

I don’t enjoy it, yet insurance companies seem to always hire for adjusters, sales and customer service. It’s boring and annoying but it’s work. Maybe this can help someone.

One thing I have never seen in the US is large numbers of homeless women. If I saw homeless in the past, it was always long-bearded men, never women. Now I see homeless women everywhere.
So many good points you’ve brought up here. I’m laid off yet again. And it’s exhausting to add in more than one extra pressing issue like mental health or lack of support. I’m so sorry. I have some of these same problems and I can only offer words of support. These mental health issues are no joke and can take a perfectly healthy person and create major distress. It can affect relationships and career, and then we suffer in silence due to stigma. I know it’s difficult to pick up the pieces all while stressing about paying bills and cover housing. It’s best for me to go one step at a time because otherwise I get overwhelmed at the uncertainty of it all. I hope that you have great success and abundance in life whatever that means to you. I'm sorry but being fired 30 times is not right, I'm not a employee model at all but I was never fired, I don't know, maybe you should look inside, the problem could be you.
I was fired too but it was because I had a hard time taking directions and learning properly. I later discovered that I was borderline dyslexic and have a mild case of ADD. I got help, and my organizational skills together and it's helped alot. I stop and take time to concentrate and stuff which has helped me alot.
Laid off 9 times in 13 years, and to everybody else I am a useless piece of crap who doesn't deserve anything because I am still meager financially. Doesn't matter how many times I have reinvented myself to succeed in order to have it ripped from me, doesn't matter that I have had 3 employers steal thousands of dollars from me, doesn't matter that I have worked up to 120 hours a week before. Because I am older with few assets I am a broke dusty failure to everybody around me. At the end of the day, know who you are first and foremost, remember how people treat you, and remind yourself that eventually the cream rises to the top.

In America, we have no idea how bad companies can treat us. I was on Reddit and someone said that a global company had to do layoffs. In a single day, Americans all lost their jobs. Other countries had negotiations and severance. As i recall, it took some other countries 6 months to layoff employees in other countries. In other countries they have to have a damn good reason to let you go. Not like here. We really need to get on these politicians about workers rights. There’s nothing beneficial to society to have people lose their jobs overnight.
That’s not actually true. Unless you’re in those countries you have no idea what goes on and what does not. I currently live in Mexico and wages and longer work days are a norm. Some places only give Sundays off. So it’s all relative. They also usually never get a severance package and they don’t have unemployment benefits of any sort. You’re just SOL if you lose your job.
The Keynesian money system is your boss, you'll always be controlled by the debt money system. It doesn't get better, we worked our selves to redundancy. They worked us so hard, there's no work left, so now they have to destroy it and start all over again.

I started to notice things change back when Obama was in office and things slowly got worse until people started getting laid off or fired, companies got shut down, etc. I was fired from my last job after 7 months of working there. They kept saying that because of the economy they don't have enough work.
So you noticed things getting worse under Obama but not the disaster that happened under Bush? The economy drastically improved the 8 years under Obama.

You blame Obama but what has your orange lord and savior Trump ever done for you?
Obama came into office when the economy was in a recession. During the recession, many lost homes and jobs. The economy turned around under Obama. This is a fact by all measures. Trump was handed a thriving economy.
Awesome content and in-depth analysis. That's why i tell my colleagues don't complain when you there's overtime milk it & embrace it. By the way, you sound like a New Yorker.
Just went through a re-org and got a new boss. It is brutal. I have had 6 bosses in 9 years. It is hard. Hoping things work out for you.
Immediately clicked because I ALSO got laid off for the THIRD time a few weeks ago. Couldn't even find the tears at that point. Good luck to us both ❤
In America, we have no idea how bad companies can treat us.
Sis, we have it good on this side
Don’t give up hun you got this
These jobs today suck! I’m 49 and unemployed and never want to work for anyone no more.
The Keynesian money system is your boss, you'll always be controlled by the debt money system.
It doesn't get better, we worked our selves to redundancy.
They worked us so hard, there's no work left, so now they have to destroy it and start all over again.
How are you going to earn money to live? 🤔
Try to start their own business@@roythousand13
I'm 35 and I been laid off my job too but I'm gonna continue to fight and never give up my goal.
The mindset is how am I going to earn money to sustain myself, instead of I’m not working for someone else. If you are your own boss great but this message can be understood in a different way. Not here to hate, just share another point of view ❤
I worked in a toxic environment for 10 years before retiring. I will never work a 9-5 again.
People are monetizing in a month. Believe you can do it too! People are getting little checks..
In my opinion, following what you’re passionate about is never a bad idea. It may lead you to something else that you didn’t even see coming.
Life is too short.
I’m an introvert and I realize every job I’ve had, I’ve had anxiety. There’s gotta be the perfect jobs for introverts! Smh. But off topic I love ur nails and lippie color 😍🙂 I’ve never had luck finding the perfect/amazing boss. Like ever. 😐😑
Cry me a river. Pansy azz
