I'm 67 years old. I remember, as a very young girl, visiting cemeteries to tidy up the graves and place flowers for my family's deceased relatives. Mom packed a lunch, and it was quite a day. I loved learning about my family in this way, and it brought on a lifelong love of genealogy and learning about where I came from. We are all a little piece of those who have passed before us. ---All of this came from eating a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich while listening to Mom talk about what an amazing woman Grandma Alice was! Thanks for taking me places where I can't go on my own. Bless you!

My dad back in the 60s would take us to the cemetery his first wife is buried at. While we were there he had us tend to the graves of war veterans. LOL, thanks Kev. That's partially why I do these videos, so when people visit they can use the videos to help them find the graves. I include a map below each video to make it even easier, as well. Thanks for watching!
Everyone in my immediate family has been cremated including my husband. I currently have my husband's ashes in a beautiful urn in the formal living room of my house. It brings me great comfort knowing that he is close along with our pets. My pets are cremated and in my home office. ❤✝
Cool; thanks for this video tour. I will actually be buried in this very cemetery with my sister. Our parents are buried there, and my sister wanted to be buried in the same place as them, but now they only sell double sites for the in-ground burials, so my sister bought two and gifted me the other.
WOW, I learned something new today. There are ground burials for the cremated !!! Love your historical backstory and you are respectful about the stories as well. Great Job !!!!
I loved this one. So much sadness but as always so very interesting. Fabulous to see those photos of a younger you, you looked great with hair haha :) thankyou once again for what you do.
When I watched the first episode of "All in the Family" I was at a friend's house when I was staying overnight. Mom had tried to explain that the man in the show was like my dad. I was 10 at the time. After I talked my friend into watching it, her oldest sister who was studying to be a nurse, came into the room and started watching it. My friend told me she had never seen her sister laugh so hard. - I enjoyed watching with my family even when I didn't understand some of it. I still enjoy watching it.
Just discovered your very interesting video and I’m definitely hooked! I think some people are afraid of the finality of death but seeing these famous people’s plots is a great way of connecting with those who have touched us with their art. No matter what decade, these folks left an indelible mark on us and also to the history of entertainment. Great job!
Beautiful!!! Your videos really bring back so many memories. When I was growing up "All in the Family" was the one show my family all bonded over. Like you said about you and your grandmother, the characters were relatable to different people for different reasons. In so many ways, I think that show helped smooth out the tensions left over from the late 60's by showing that we're all human beings. Thanks again for the memories! 😊😊
I agree. It was the perfect show at the perfect time. It's magic when that happens. I'm guessing you all watched it in reruns. You look way too young to have been alive then. Thanks, again, for watching :-)
The Graveyard Guy Bless your kind heart, sir ☺️ At work my unofficial title is Old Man LOL! I watched them both in reruns and the later shows (late 70s) as they aired.
It was interesting to see Rod McKuen's memorial. As a graduate student at GWU, I attended one of his concerts at the Constitution Hall in Washington DC. That was my introduction to the contemporary American poetry.
I just found your channel and find it interesting. Ever since I was a kid one of my hobbies was walking around cemeteries reading the headstones trying to imangine what kind of life they had. I always thought I was strange for doing this but enjoyed it so. This make me feel normal lol!
I'm new to your channel but I really enjoy seeing you visit famous people graves that made a huge impact in show business that some seems to have forgotten about God bless you
Excellent job as always. What a sad story on the Keith family. I haven't seen the show Family Affair but definitely have All In The Family. Great to see the old pictures of you!
I know, three suicides and a murder, in one cemetery visit. Very sad. Especially for a video about families. I'm guessing you never had long hair growing up? Especially since you were a military man and too young to have been a hippy :-)
@@TheGraveyardChannel Oh no I had much longer hair than your pictures. Shoulder blade level. I had the longest hair when we got it cut. Then I rubbed my head for days and said maybe I didn't make the right decision.
While you are visiting grave yards think of how many sprites are watching you.👀 They know that you are very kind and respectful and I bet you make them smile when you stop by and say "Hi" at their graves.
Great vlog! Thanks for sharing and showing me the graves of actors and actresses that I grew up with. Anissa Jones ashes were spread in the Pacific Ocean in Playa Del Rey by her mother and brother. Sadly Anissa had no funeral. No cast mates from Family Affair was invited or allowed to attend.
You now have another subscriber, as I appreciate both content and presentation. As for where I’ll be buried - not with my parents, nor siblings. I have always felt I was swapped at the hospital, left by aliens, or something else. My home, my life is with my wife and our child. With them I wish to rest for eternity.
When the time comes for me, I'll be buried in a small rural cemetery located on the Ohio/Indiana state line, next to my parents. I'll be the sixth generation in a direct line of descent to be buried there. My parents, grandparents, great grandparents, 2x great grandparents, and 3x great grandparents are all buried there in that small cemetery! The earliest ones came to America from a small village in Alsace, France in 1850. I love history, especially my own!
I have six generations as well. My nephew died unexpectedly a couple of years ago so he's the start of the sixth. My sister and I are buying plots behind ours to start a new family row. No more plots for sale in our row. My parents were into geneology. Only hobby they ever shared. They have both passed.
That's really great that you have so many generations of family buried together Most of all our families came from Europe Mine came from Norway. Germany. and England
I love your videos! I have a vision problem that causes watching bouncy and fast panning videos to give me motion sickness. Yours never do. Keep up the good work!
Yes, O'connor is surrounded by big names. Jack Lemon is on the other side. I almost mentioned them, but wanted to stay focused on my topic for this vlog. Good eye. Thanks, David!
I had her and a Flip Wilson doll. One side was Flip Wilson and when you turned it over it was Geraldine. It had a pull string and the doll would have a voice box inside of it. The Flip Wilson doll I believe is worth a little bit these days. I loved watching Family Affair. Great Show !!!
I LOVED my Mrs. Beasley too! I always wanted Bill Davis to be my dad. I thought Buffy was so lucky because he obviously loved her very much. Sounds silly perhaps but I find a part of me still mourns Brian Keith & Anissa Jones. Anissa was not loved very much by her mom & was basically a paycheck. Anissa did love her brother, who died a few short years after her. I believe drugs were involved in his death as well.
@@ladypearl9134 I read a book about the life of Anissa Jones. It was tragic she had been exploited by Hollywood. My former girlfriend still has her Mrs Beasley doll.
I enjoyed this video, Steve. I have more memories of watching “All in the Family” since it aired during my time. Family Affair not so much but I remember the reruns when I was much younger. I guess it’s not a popular show for reruns? But Family Affair did have some tragic deaths. Thanks for the video.
I was named after Buffy of Family Affair, so thank you for this. Also, when I die, I better be buried by my parents, or I'll be famous for haunting someone!
Nice respectful video and information. I love exploring cemeteries and wondering about the lives of the people buried there. I saw the headstone once of someone who died the day I was born.
What a sweet and passionate video. Of course you know my favorite poet, song writer, and author is Rod McKuen. I have been to many of his concerts and have met him many times. He always sang my favorite McKuen song to me--April People .My birthday is April 28----his April 29th. He wrote songs for many stars. He was very instrumental for the downfall of the hatred campaign of Anita Bryant. I am certain that Habib McKuen was his companion. Did you know that the mother and father of Elizabeth Taylor are buried at Westwood? Thank you again for this wonderful video. Norma
I was visiting cemeteries all day yesterday and I'm just now getting to my comments. I did this one for you. And I didn't know about Taylor's parents. I assumed they were with her. I've been in the Sanctuary of Peace niche courtyard many times, but didn't know they were there. Thank you so much for telling me!!! I will visit them the next time I'm there. You are always so helpful!
Thank you for showing me the final resting place who was the star of " All in the family " tv sitcom. I remember it well seeing the show here in the UK on our BBC. What you may not be aware of Allin the family is actually based on a British tv sitcom named Till death us do part starring a well known character actor Warren Mitchell, his son in this tv sitcom was played by actor Anthony Booth who was the brother of Cherie Blair wife of British ex prime minister Tony Blair. I'm sure if you were to look it up on Google you will be able to discover a lot more...... Cheers from the UK.
Wow I loved family affair, I had the mrs. Beasley doll when I was little, I knew that Brian Keith had passed but didn’t know how, so very sad, Thank you so much for a great vlog and a beautiful trip down memory lane.
Poor Brian Keith. Terminal cancer, financial troubles and the death of his daughter Daisy was just to much for him. He wanted to be with his Daisy again and wrote a note saying so before he took his life. Bittersweet is my reaction to that.
Actually, when Mom and later Dad died, they were cremated and put in the same niche (and urn). My husband and I purchased the niche beneath theirs and will be placed there when the time comes. The unique thing about the niches is they are covered with clear plexiglass and you can see the urns and whatever else the family wants to include. We put in some keepsakes and a couple of pictures including a wedding picture.
My family has a large section of a rural cemetery located on land my great great grandfather donated to the early pioneers in the area. I left the area 30 years ago and now live in Nevada which I call home. Home is where the heart is and where my ashes will be scattered off a cliff into Death Valley. On another note I saw where Sandra Lockhart passed away in early November, I think she was buried in Westwood Village, Ca..
Death Valley would be a great place to be scattered! Someone else mentioned Sondra. Her findagrave.com memorial page says she was cremated and ashes given to family. Thanks, Dwight!
I appreciate you doing these. Especially involving entertainment from the 50's-60's-70's era. Simply because you, just like me were there in those decades. To put it mildly, I find it boring when a millennial visits grave sites bragging about how they remember growing up watching re-runs of shows like the Monkees and Gilligan's Island on the Nickelodeon channel. Yeah, as if these shows were their "coming of age" influences. Sheesh, these TV series weren't even talking to that generation.
I know what you mean, but isn't great that some of these shows and people are timeless and will be around entertaining generation after generation? When I visited the Stooges and met dads visiting the Stooges graves with their kids, it was really cool to see them being passed down from one generation to the next. We'll always know we were there first, though. Actually, with the Stooges, we were probably the 2nd generation :-) Thanks for sharing, RNRD!
I understand what you're saying. But, unlike taking Jr to a Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, or The Who concert it's different than a 32 year old saying how the Monkees 2 year run (66-68) on TV influenced him. The Thee Stooges made movies in the 50's-60's all the way into the 1970's so they over lapped our generation.

What can I say, what a large and great group today! I loved all of them, but Jean Stapelton was great in "You've Got Mail." I cannot tell you how many times I have seen it, because I also love all the other actors!! That is a great group too. Love the pics from your youth!! We have a military cemetery in our city, so my husband and I will be cremated, and both placed there.
that sounds nice. thanks for sharing with us, pauline!
I just discovered your channel and I must say I truly enjoy it. Being in my 60's with most of my family gone I always like to think that we will all meet up someday.
Thanks, Paul, and let's hope so!
Rod McKuen was one of my favorite poets. Had a lot of his books. Saw him in concert. Thanks Steve.
Thanks for watching and sharing with us Rachel 😊👍
If I ever make it to California you will have to be my tour guide. Great job with your videos! Kev..from Tennessee.
Thanks for all you do. I feel that we are right there, walking along with you at the cemeteries!
Thanks Thomas, that’s very nice to hear 😊👍
WOW, I learned something new today. There are ground burials for the cremated !!! Love your historical backstory and you are respectful about the stories as well. Great Job !!!!
I learn something with every video, too. Thanks, Lisa!
You are doing great! I am also a newbie here and really enjoy your information. Please keep up your good work!
Thanks Michelle I appreciate that 😊👍
I loved this one. So much sadness but as always so very interesting. Fabulous to see those photos of a younger you, you looked great with hair haha :) thankyou once again for what you do.
Yes, bitter sweet--the good old days when I had hair :-) Thanks, Sarah!
Always enjoy how you present the various sites Two thumbs up
Thanks, Edith!
What a hunk you were and still are! Loved this vlog. I loved “All in the family”. The casting was perfect. Have a great day and stay safe.
LOL, thanks fairie and you too!
Stifle yourself Edith
@@abrahamlincoln1677 Archie used to say that. Lol.
Thanks for touring I loved All in the Family show, I remember it in78was12.And also Family Affair . You do great tours.
Thanks, Lisa!
Thank you for all the research you do, it's amazing & so interesting!
thanks, dedria!
Great job!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Louise. I appreciate it!
Well said thank you 😊
Two of the best shows ever made, thank you for this! 😊
i agree. thanks, shona!
Poor Anissa Jones never stood a chance at life
Neither did her little brother. Their mom was certainly a piece of work.
I know I've always been fascinated by Anissa Jones and her brother Paul and my heart still aches at the thought that they passed away so young
What role did she have in Family Affair?
@@SOCORROSILVA-in7px Buffy
there's an interesting interview with her on the Dick Cavett Show on UA-cam - Sammy Davis Jr is on it too
I was born in 1980. Definitely enjoy your videos about any era of tv show stars, movie stars etc. Thank you for all the hard work you do.
Nice to know that even younger generations are still interested in these people. Thanks, Sarah!
LOL, a lot us can relate. Thanks for watching and for sharing that!
I'm new to your channel but I really enjoy seeing you visit famous people graves that made a huge impact in show business that some seems to have forgotten about God bless you
thanks, king. glad you found my channel!
Thanks so much for sharing I loved the old shows and my favorite was family affair.
Thanks for watching, juju
While you are visiting grave yards think of how many sprites are watching you.👀 They know that you are very kind and respectful and I bet you make them smile when you stop by and say "Hi" at their graves.
If I can make the spirits smile, then I've done my job :-) Thanks, Shelton!
LOL, I don't think you're alone! Lucky that you found a new family that appreciates you. Thanks for watching and sharing your story. I appreciate it!
Fantastic as always and thanks again , for taking us places we can never go
Thanks, Jeff!
I agree. I especially love personal history like this. Thanks for sharing your story. I love it!
Germany. and England
My family also came from Alsace, France. Small world.
@@brendawilliams8715 my ancestors came from Schwindratzheim. Do you know where in Alsace your family comes from?
I love your videos! I have a vision problem that causes watching bouncy and fast panning videos to give me motion sickness. Yours never do. Keep up the good work!
Sometimes mine do, but I try hard not to. Thanks, Sussie!
@@TheGraveyardChannel Well in certain cases it simply can't be helped. But all and all...kudos to you.
At the beginning of your video I caught a glimpse of Billy Wilders grave, because I just saw his movie Sunset Boulevard
Yes, O'connor is surrounded by big names. Jack Lemon is on the other side. I almost mentioned them, but wanted to stay focused on my topic for this vlog. Good eye. Thanks, David!
David Miller , and Peter Falk as well. 😃
Billy Wilder directed Some Like It Hot, which starred both Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe
So many memories from your channel a pleasure to watch as always Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺👍👏
Thanks, Desmond!
I miss my mrs Beasley doll
@@frankdenardo8684 what book was that i would love to find a copy
Thanks for showing the graves of people of Family Affair and All In The Family!
Thanks for watching Patti 😊👍
Nancy walker starred in the ABC comedy blansky s beauties with pat Morita Scott Baio
Along with Linda goodfriend from happy days
I enjoyed this video, Steve. I have more memories of watching “All in the Family” since it aired during my time. Family Affair not so much but I remember the reruns when I was much younger. I guess it’s not a popular show for reruns? But Family Affair did have some tragic deaths. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing, Kevin!
I’m new to watching your vlogs and really enjoy them. Your voice is calming. Ty
thanks, judi!
I was named after Buffy of Family Affair, so thank you for this. Also, when I die, I better be buried by my parents, or I'll be famous for haunting someone!
Thanks for sharing that, Buffy, and LOL!
Do not forget the Buffy dolls
dont get why anyone cares where they are buried....its not like they'll ever know
lol...thats hilarious
Nice respectful video and information. I love exploring cemeteries and wondering about the lives of the people buried there. I saw the headstone once of someone who died the day I was born.
that's always weird. or one with your exact name on it :-)
They just don't make TV like that anymore . That was the best TV ever
I agree!
I love the graveyard guy videos. He explains everything in detail. More videos please.
Thanks, Sue!
Thank you! Fascinating as always
Thanks, Karen!
Cheers from the UK.
i would love to watch it. thanks for the great tv trivia, john!
i watch Family Affair and All in the Family and Steve i'm glad that you tell what to them
Wow I loved family affair, I had the mrs. Beasley doll when I was little, I knew that Brian Keith had passed but didn’t know how, so very sad, Thank you so much for a great vlog and a beautiful trip down memory lane.
Those Mrs Easley dolls were probably more popular than the show :-) Thanks for watching and commenting Angelia!
Very Interesting, thank you for do this, I would have not know about them.
Nancy also played in McMillan & wife with Rock Hudson
I still watch these programs. I miss good television like this. Nice job.☺
Thanks, Donna!
@@TheGraveyardChannel You're very welcome. Happy Holidays!!!
Poor Brian Keith. Terminal cancer, financial troubles and the death of his daughter Daisy was just to much for him. He wanted to be with his Daisy again and wrote a note saying so before he took his life. Bittersweet is my reaction to that.
I agree!
Thanks steve. Such a small cemetery but so many Hollywood people. Caroll was such a good actor and person.
More than 300 famous people buried there and I've only vlogged a couple of dozen of them, so far. Thanks, for watching and commenting, Steve!
I love all in the family
Oh how I loved Richard Dawson 😞
Wow, Billy Wilder and Peter Falk to the left of Carol O’Conner. I loved this video of yours! 😃😃😃
thanks, kimmi!
Sorry Kimmi you misspelled O`Connor
Very nice work Steve. Happy holidays.
thanks, joe, and the same to you!
I always enjoy seeing those mimi life stories within the glass covered niches. Thanks for sharing the memory of your mom and dad with us, Smokey!
Love ur videos n knowing where they all are. Thank u 4 sharing much respect to u. New Zealand Fan
Thanks Donna. I’m really glad to hear that 😊👍
I remember Nancy Walker from the movie murder by death.
She was so memorable in everything!
I remember Nancy Walker on the old Rhoda Show. With Valerie Harper.
@@tinotse2007 Is it bad that I know her more as Rosie the waitress than the Rhoda show?
I remember Nancy Walker who played the housekeeper from McMillan and Wife with Rock Hudson and Susan Saint James.

As always a very good and interesting video. I really enjoy the commentary.
Thanks, Sue!
Thanks, Dwight!
awesome videos Mr. SteveI'm a big fan thank you for sharing
