its so weird that the amazing spiderman had the most comicbook accurate suit at the time but then the villians had the most ultra realistic, scientific or militaryesk designs.
Spiderman did not have a comic accurate design actually it looked more like a basketball if you ask me. The villains were also farthest from being comic accurate.
@@alio6051 tasm 2
@@alio6051 Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit looked comic accurate and nothing like a basketball suit.
@@dericjames2018 agreed
@@d4_yep37 I agree
I love how basically all the Spider-Man movies would’ve been horror films with all the unused content
Well Spidey villains are perfect candidates for sci-fi body horror so it would be an interesting concept to explore, except not in a multibillion dollar motion picture meant for mass entertainment.
Mainly the raimi films the amazing Spider-Man movie concepts look awful.
@@spider-manunknown9193 Well Raimi films had Sam Raimi behind them while TASM had Webb who isn't as creative really, but i think he would have done a good franchise if Sony let him do his job and not interfere with their bullshit wants.
it would just make it R rated :(
@@Patrick-pc3vq marc webb is better than raimi
the green goblin design was a massive missed opportunity. imagine if green goblin had more than one scene in the whole movie, he couldve gotten more diseased as the movie went on, going from the crackhead design to like proper goblin.
Yeah but the first film felt more built up towards Norman rather than Harry because it reminds me of Homer’s enemy also his hair looks like a pile of grass and he looks like evil Ed from Fright Night
He'd look like his earth 1610 counterpart but not as hulking
I was hoping that they would have Andrew take Golbin Jr. out and then bring Norman back as an Ultimate comics inspired Goblin who wants revenge for his son. They could’ve faked his death and kept him locked away because of what he turned to. I have a ton of ideas for how to save the franchise but no idea how to write outlines and all that
Bro that design looks scary as shit what u mean
Like he starts off with the crackhead design early in the movie and slowly develops his suit more throughout the film
The concept art for Venom wasn't the only time we saw it, Venom was in the trailers for like 2 seconds in that hallway scene with all the other Sinister six suits, it appeared as a big blob of goo in a container similar to the concept art
i love how they magically went for the worst possible options for the villains
I’ve always considered Spidey’s white eyes to be the final touch for the impression of an all American hero. Red, white and blue.
Cool detail ive never thought about.
I know its cliché at this point, but I actually love the idea that each villain suit is the product of tech used for one specific aspect of militay combat. The sandman thing and scorpion armour/tail are really neat ideas that I wish made it into the series later on. Its also a shame we didn't get to see the progression of the goblin disease because it makes for a pretty cool villain design in some of concept art. It would also seem more justified that Harry needed the suit and needed to fight Spider-Man.
I like it for some vilains thst the powers are actualy tech related but for vilains that their suits and powers have nothing to do with science i tink it takes a littel of the wonder and fantastycall elementes
@@Utilizador-gs3lx
Agreed. Kraven doesn't need to be a military experiment.
Its ok to keep some of the mystical side of Spidey's rougues gallery
@@LifeIsForEmos8D Yup imagine if they ever tried to make morbius the marvel legend a product of tecnologir no whay it's hall natural
@@Utilizador-gs3lx
Haha! No way Sony would ever greenlight such a film lol
@@LifeIsForEmos8D Yeah what AM i tinking that Will never hapen
In my opinion, the concept of Universal Remote above the Web-Shooters, would actually be visually cool and totally functional to this Spider-Man, like he could be listing to the Police Radio Call and could change to another accordingly to the situation. Nice vídeo btw!
💀
I keep forgetting Spider-Man had a makeshift police radio in TASM1.
But still, giving Spider-Man a wrist tablet is stupid
the webshooters are nice xd
Or he could control traffic lights to stop a getaway or something
Its not a remote. Marc Webb said in an interview leading up to release that Peter had intergrated and mp3 player into his webshooter so he can listen to music while he swings.
16:37 It's a shame they didn't chose this design; it retains their 'transforms into a rhino mech' concept, but it looks a lot closer to Ultimate Rhino.
It makes sense to me that, if they'd included a mask for Harry it was a more generic military look; his suit is a military prototype, it makes more sense for the helmet to look like that than a goblin.
Personally I kinda wished that they'd kept the web shooters made from old watches, it felt more accurate to Peter.
I prefer 16:33 except I wish the humanoid one had a horn
Honestly, reminds me too much of Rhinox from Transformers: Beast Wars
I like the idea of finding creative ways to make comic villains more grounded and realistic, that’s what I love about the Batman, however some of these concepts like rhino might’ve gone too far
I actually really like TASM 1 Suit (except the yellow eyes).
I think it was a neat concept. It's just that the yellow eyes are too much of an overkill.
2:04 is literally perfect!
I thought the tasm 1 suit was godly the first time I saw it, I absolutely loved it so much I bought the hot toys figure. I wish they would’ve kept it in the second movie
Reminds me of Tom Holland suit
@@c.a.k.comedy692 I loved both
Ehh I think the suit they actually used was much superior
Imagine tasm1 suit with tasm2 mask eyes.
Perfection!
Fun fact: A lot of the concepts for Spider-Man PS4 took inspiration from TASM
That makes a lot of sense. One of the concepts gave Spider-Man a white Spider Logo. I’m sure that’s where they got it from.
The web shooters look identical
The Amazing spiderman is awesome
Spider man ps4 also uses some of the animation from tasm 2
Some Rhino concepts did remind me of Rhino in that game.
This guys catchphrase is “howver”
I swear he says it like 20+ times in each video
The high tech web shooters look so cool and the Green Goblin was a huge missed opportunity and a total downgrade. I like the ideas they had about green goblin but they could've gone so much further with the designs any one of them would have been better than what we got.
Okay, thank you to the viewer who brought this to my attention. Looks like the Venom concept at 21:17 made it into the film. No idea why he was cut. I would’ve loved to see the TASM version of the character . The footage was included in an alternate trailer around the 0:52 mark. Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/uh8qpckNRjg/v-deo.html
Keep in mind, I’m not completely sure if the footage is real
i know its real because i distinctly remember it in advertisements
It's real, I remember the days of SevenWebHeads and all the cut footage from this movie that slipped its way into some international teasers
I've heard of something interesting. Originally, Electro was the man in the shadows (the guy who talked with Dr Connors in prison) and the one behind Peter's parents' deaths since he used his electricity powers to mess with the plane. It's on the blu ray feature.
I actually loved TASM 1 suit. I hated it at 1st when I was younger but after rewatching it I fell in love with it. I love how its not a ripoff of tobeys suit im happy they tried 2 do smthing differently
I always loved tasm 1 suit as soon as I saw it in the trailer I begged my dad to take me to the movie theaters lol.
@@zailboi4377 it truly is smthing. It gets better in TASM 2 that is the BEST LIVE ACTION SUIT imo.
@@Kageofyoutube fr toby is my fav though
I always loved the first one the second on is sooooooo ugly
Rhino is a really difficult character to translate to the screen, either you try to make the design into something mechanical (done fantastically with the Vulture in Homecoming) or you just full send the goofyness and roll with it.
Even tho I like TASM 2, I gotta say I'm a very big fan of the serious tone TASM 1 had and wished they continued with it
I like TASM 2 too but exactly
well TASM2's original cut does have a much more serious tone than TASM 1. The movie was criticized for its tonal inconsistencies, and you can see many scenes of peter, harry and electro are actually darker than what we see in the theatrical version. We need a webb cut of both the movies.
11:05 This green goblin concept is not that bad in my opinion, it actually looks pretty cool
yeah
I hope they use this concept in the insomniac games
the potential in the tasm series is unbelievable. part of me wishes they continued it. hopefully disney will do it right. i doubt they will, unfortunately.
Ikrrrrr
4:50 Marc Webb stated in an interview that Peter would've had an MP3 player integrated into his suit. I actually just recently learned about this after No Way Home's release, and it's really weird how they wanted to do that, in my opinion. Not mad at all or anything. Just adding some more context to the design.
@@x27381 To be honest, yeah, I agree. That would make more sense for Miles to have than Peter.
I would've liked the futuristic Web-Shooters to be used for Tom Holland's Spidey suit
My only problem with them is that they're a clear target in fights
That glass dome goblin concept…holy shit, imagine what the whole suit would’ve looked like. They could’ve made one of the best villain outfits of all time, but they scraped it for an awful militaristic crackhead goblin.
Love your videos man, keep it up. ^_^
🤣🤣facts
I'm pretty sure fans would have given the studio a hard time if they went with that approach. People would have just called it a Goblin Mysterio or something.
It looks cool now, because we have the Official TASM2 Green Goblin to compare the appearances. But on its own, I'm sure it would cause controversy too.
@@cxssetteman182 you’re right, but the glass dome thing is still what I would’ve liked to see
Nah, he was more of a meth head, judging from those teeth 😂
Eh, the glass dome would’ve taken away from the “goblin” feel.
The most defining thing of green goblin for me is his expressive mask, large ears, and yellow eyes. They couldn’t use the prototype shown in the first Raimi film for some reason, so I’d be fine with just giving Harry large goblin ears and sharp teeth.
personally I think the problem to the amazing sequel is not enough exploration in story to further flesh out the villains. like rhino OK the production team was going for a mechanical look. but they were better off borrowing from rhino's ultimate version to keep it simple. as for goblin they also could have done the same I said for rhino since they intend to make goblin more mutant.
Can you do unused concept videos for the X-MEN movies there are cool arts of the original X-Men costumes
I think the reason the Goblin's face isn't like the comics is the same reason Batman's mask isn't the same either. In the comics/animated shows, Batman's cowl is worn like a hood, he pulls it over his face and he's ready to go, it looks like cloth but apparently it's bulletproof. Same thing with the Green Goblin. It's basically a cloth mask that he puts on and suddenly becomes skin tight and highly expressive for his facial features, I completely understand why they struggle to translate it to live action, a cool as it would be to see in a film, it just wouldn't work as well as we hope it will. Some things simply can't be adapted properly, they'll need to take a similar approach to Willem Dafoe's version, but have a mechanical suit & mask combo if they want to use it.
In one of the trailers they showed that venom concept in the scene with the vulture & ock arms but when the movie came out, in its place it's replaced by the rhino suit
These glider concepts just take me back to when I watched the first spider man movie with Willem Dafoe, and to this day, the image of a bunch of military dudes actually using these gliders in war is hilarious to me
"JOHNNNNN GLIDEEEEE"
i think it would've been cool to see the goblin wear the mask that was shown at 11:29 and as the fight progresses the visor part would break showing a ugly monster that yet seems somewhat fimiliar.
The Sinister Six ideas are interesting.
I never considered the idea of Sandman consisting of fusing with a device that manipulates sand molecules, definitely something to be explored in a movie.
They seemed to originally think of Venom as the Ultimate synthetic version, which would tie very well into the whole cure plot in the Amazing Spider-Man movies. Wonder why they scrapped that for the 616 version, could've been a good way to keep that universe going.
The only ones I feel could be improved were Doctor Octopus and Vulture. They look too much similar to the ones we have seen in other versions. I wished they expanded on their devices, like have the tentacles do more than just grab stuff and the wings more than just flying.
If they took those: Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Vulture, Rhino, Venom and Scorpion, they would basically have all the members necessary. Now they're using: Venom, Morbius, Vulture, Kraven and who knows who the other 2 will be.
I actually find it interesting the idea of 6 villains being sent to other countries for illegal missions. Almost like a Suicide Squad, but they actually want to do it.
Awesome video! Really cool to see what this film could have been! Homecoming unused concepts next? 👀
Thank you for Watching! I have a non-marvel related Unused Concepts video in development but I definitely have plans to cover the MCU era Spider-Man movies soon
Sony: let's make grounded villains!
Also Sony: let's make electro fall in a vat of electric eels!!!
Gotta be careful where you fall.
Well it was genetically altered electric eels
And could magically fix the gaps between his teeth.

21:40 Topher Grace's Venom was going to have a spin off with Jim Carrey as Raimiverse Carnage after Spider-Man 3
I doubt that Jim Carrey would want to play someone violent as Carnage given the fact that he hated his role in Kick-ass for the amount of violence in the film.
I doubt that Jim Carrey would want to play someone violent as Carnage given the fact that he hated his role in Kick-ass for the amount of violence in the film.
The problem with this universe is that it would have worked better as a tv show bc of the amount of unused creative material

How the fuck Sony thought the Goblin design we ended up with was good is frankly beyond me. The concept art looks so much better than what we actually got.
I liked the one with the hat-like head part with the red visor
@@EkardRimidalv Yes. That one looked good, unlike the final design.
Es lo mismo que con el stenpenwolf de whedon
It's more how it erases the terminal illness factors of the Goblin disease and dehumanizes the suffering Henry and his father are going through.
@@justice8718 Aye. Though Harry wasn't exactly shown to be suffering much, his father clearly was. Perhaps it takes a few years to cause severe issues?
I actually thought rhinos design was pretty cool in concept. Some of the ones in the concept art were a bit cooler though.
9:26 i believe is the best and the scariest goblin design ever. Also I had a doubt how they would try to show sandman and scorpion realistic but they did try really well.

Love these videos. Some of this is so insane
Dammit man! I was just finished with a video like this then you uploaded yours!!
Awesome I love to c more unused concepts in marvel films
Really enjoy these videos
9:46 Benadryl Cabbagepatch?
Thank you for making this video
Really enjoying this series
Weird that the venom symbiote got cut because in the scene with the guy walking past the ock arms at the end of it the venom was going to be there
I think the scene was meant to tease the Sinister Six which Venom is traditionally not part of. So I think they simply cut it to emphasize Sinister Six characters
I think it would be awesome if they would do another TASM in which these concepts not used are used after he went back to his time and universe from NWH harry skin is green like before or either it's norman who is the goblin instead of harry and he is cured unlike his father basically the NWH event causes a paradigm shift in his world just like it might for Tobey Maguire's universe
I really liked this bro. Tasm 2 is my fav movie
This is by far my favorite Spider-Man suit I love the big white lenses and how they glow and the way the Crimson shines.
I really dug Jamie Foxx's Electro blue & animated translucent body, and cyberpunk look of his suit, it was the horrendous writing that failed him
As for Goblin I'm really tired of Sony butchering the look of this character because they can't realistically and practically make it make sense for someone to turn into a literal Goblin, if they think the makeup and facial work would look silly & out of place and overboard but then wth was CGI lizard man? there's no excuse for them not to nail Green Goblin it's frustrating cuz they always have something potential in their hands but they either cut corners or lack execution in building
Cool those were my favorite spiderman movies
3:13 if mile morales ever got a live action movie, they would need to use this suit, especially the back logo I just love it.
amazing video!!!!
21:51 Not technically the last, it is in teaser for the film. They just edited the walk so it deos not appear. -Luke
Great video
I love these videos
TASM 1 suit > TASM 2 suit
It’s just more unique and the only problem was the yellow eyes. It could def have more expressive lenses. Also it would’ve stands out more against Tobey and Tom in No Way Home. The first suit is just more unique and makes Andrew stand out from other versions of Peter.
The amazing spiderman 2 has my favourite spidey suit, my favourite spiderman quips, my favourite spiderman moment when he saves that kid and andrew garfeild is my favourite spider-man but this movie proves that no matter how good your spiderman is it means nothing if the movie isnt also good around it
15:38 this honestly looks pretty dope. I can imagine it as a force-multiplier that brings the "strength of a rhino" without looking so... cartoony? unrealistic? With those muscle-looking plates it's certainly reminiscent of the Crysis suit that functioned in a similar manner.
I think they hadn't decided if they were going for a more comic-accurate or one more grounded in reality when they designed that prototype suit.
Very cool unused concepts that could work well in _anything_ but Spiderman. Trying to make designs "too grounded" often robs them of what makes their design unique and distinct in the comics. Yeah, Electro's classic costume would look ridiculous in live action, but I've seen many fanart that actually makes it work.
well they adopted most of the concepts from the ultimate comics. Electro's design as well as rhino's design was inspired from the ultimate comics while goblin suit was inspired from spider-man 1(2002)
I've been waiting for this and it certainly impressed me thank you for making this video I've always thought the concepts created for the amazing Spider-Man 2 were very interesting thank you for putting it in this video man
10:40 this design is probably the best design for Goblin's helmet.
Agreed. I never would have thought of that!
Some of those helmets for Goblin look more perfect for a live action version of the Batman villain Firefly
23:26 I could imagine a venomized Spiderman whether it was Andrews or even toms or maybe even someone else doing this as a interrogational or more of a revenge type of situation
I like to think concept arts for character are them in another universe
Fun Fact: Gwen Stacy Makes The TASM 2 Suit in A Tie-In Comic
I belive that's also mentioned in the TASM 2 tie-in game
Looking at some of the unused green goblin design, kinda makes me appreciate the one we got a little bit (not
much tho)
In the alternate final trailer for TASM2, at 52 seconds you can see the Venom Symbiote in the Oscorp storage for around 2 seconds, although in the final film it was replaced with a different suit
Love it Man
The Goblin test looks better a disease like Goblin would've cool to see where his skin is green and his ears are sharper
I really like the goblin design in 9:29 he’s more serious and menacing
Are there any unused concepts of the MTV spider-man series? That would be an interesting one to dive into. What do you think? Keep up the good work, loving the content.
15:35 is it just me or does that man in the Rhino concept art looks like Vin Diesel
The fast and furious rhino
It about family!!!! Rhinoceros family!!!
Family.
Their plan was just make every villain get their powers from oscorp technology lmao
17:55 wow scorpion look freaking cool man I wish we could have gotten to see him in the amazing Spider-Man 3 or the amazing Spider-Man 4
18:27 🙃
Or even use this design for the MCU version and he should have been No way home so that the post credit of Homecoming is paid off
23:40 after the shot from her back, they should've shown her face for like half a sec and then cut to the next scene. It would've been an awesome tease, not overshadowing the movie at all.
I saw this on my UA-cam recommended and I gasped my favorite Spider-Man movie
I actually really liked TASM 2 despite all its flaws.

Nice video (yes i am late) new sub
please do more of these videos
Tasm 2 is an example of why you shouldn't give fans what they want but instead what they need. When you give them what they want they complain. They fans complain about Tasm being dark yet in Spiderman 2002 Green Goblin is turning people into skeletons, nearly killing a bunch of kids and brutalizing spiderman. Tasm hasn't done anything like that with MAYBE an exception of the bridge scene where Jack was trapped in a car.
Love your videos man you deserve more views and subs
Subbed lol
I think MJ could of worked in the movie without complicating Peter and Gwen’s relationship. She could of just been a new side character that could of been friends with both Peter and Gwen, maybe she could of been a reason for why Peter and Gwen get back together at the end before the final battle, something similar to Spectacular Spider-Man where MJ was Gwen’s wingwoman and was very encouraging of them to get together throughout the show. And if they eventually wanted to have MJ and Peter get together, they could of left subtle hints that she had a crush on him but nothing too obvious
this trilogy looks like it could have been super dark, i mean the movies themselves have a dark setting and tone to it.
It was going to be. Tasm was inspired by the darker and grittier success of The Dark Knight trilogy. They tried to make Spider-man as much as comic accurate while being realistic and going for a darker approach. There's so many things we never saw like the deleted dr Connors scenes about him and his family, Max Dillon, Cut Dialogues. In tasm 2, Spider-man was about to almost kill Harry but he stops. He was in a rage mode after Harry killed gwen and kept laughing.
I just got an idea it would be nice to see like first 30 min with his tasm suit then he got in in to a fight that the suit would damage and there for this new suit it would be better for continuing details
I was so happy when this video released
Thank You for watching
Can’t wait for homecoming
I wish some of these designs made it’s way into the film, especially the Goblin design
3:10 that suit would be perfect for a live action miles morales. If the MCU goes the Miles route eventually I hope they use that suit for reference material
You gotta do tasm 3 if it ever comes which i'm praying for.
