For a long time I really didn’t like the peters parents storyline since it diminishes his importance as being bitten by chance, however upon rewatch I really with that we could’ve seen the full idea of it. It’s hard to judge something that we never saw finished.
That Dad scene is so good. I saw it years ago and it still sticks with me, when he teaches Peter how to move on from Gwen. "You don't, you take her with you." So fucking good.
They should of kept that scene in the film I don't understand why it was taking out, I think TASM2 would of definitely gained a sequel had this scene been kept in.
I am seeing this scene with Richard Parker almost 11 years after the movie came out. Man, they did us - and the actors!- real wrong here by omitting this scene. It is a really meaningful scene. Wish they had released some version with deleted scenes.

For me these deleted scenes are necessary for the movie if they have the time to develop and flesh out most of the characters for the plot itself. The deleted scene of Peter and MJ meeting for the 1st time would've been such an interesting dynamic.

I would’ve loved to see TASM’s take on Mary Jane There was a storyboard released where MJ and Peter are on a motorcycle fleeing from The Vulture, and MJ is driving. I think she would’ve been more adventurous than the Rami version which would’ve been so cool to see, like she can handle her own

3:16 No Way Home made a parallel of that scene, and this deleted scene is CANON. They should’ve kept it. Andrew even mentioned it in NWH when talking about losing his Gwen to Tom after May’s demise. If No Way Home did this, so can TASM2.
I think they should’ve kept most of these in. It gives the movie time to breath and expands on the characters that needed that depth, even if it messes up the pacing. The quieter scenes are especially incredible And I would’ve loved to see MJ

I think if the directors didnt leave out the fact that they had already casted Shainley Woodley as MJ(Not a bad choice) and Richard Parker's "plot twist" apperancence, I think the movie wouldve had better ratings and also a chance in getting a 3rd movie. Just putting my opinion out there.
the reason those scenes were cut was because the production team already knew that a third movie wasnt gonna happen. they actually knew about this in the middle of making tasm 2, which is why all those scenes that wouldve made a good foundation for a third movie were removed
@@gursimar10That’s not the reason. Avi Arad cut most of the scenes out because of pacing. It was a hit and miss because if we included all these scenes there would literally be 14 different main characters and storylines (Peter’s blood, Harry, Electro, Rhino, Goblin, Norman, Gwen leaving, MJ, MJ’s father, Felicia Hardy, etc) and the movie would’ve been too cluttered. Although the scene with Peter’s father alone would’ve made the movie not do as bad. There we’re actually plans and a script in making for Tasm 3, but at the time Disney and Sony were having conflicts, so they just straight up fired Andrew from the role.

The Richard parker scene is giving vibes of the peters clone in the ultimate universe. Basically, in the ultimate universe or in earth 1610, peter parker finds out his dad is alive, but through a series of incidents, it turns out peters dad was a clone, not a real one, i don't remember if the clone was a clone of peter parker or his dad, but the comics said the clone had a DNA match of peter parker. Maybe the third one could have started a clone saga

That scene with Maxs mom would’ve been great. Really shows how Spider-Man being nice to him was actually not a good idea. Max seemed like some shy nerd gone crazy but the Mom scene would show bro is just going through and snapped in the movie.

They should have kept the armor scene. It explains why Harry crawled to it while his body broke apart from the venom. He knew it would help. Without that scene, it's rendered "plot needed it to happen, who cares if it doesn't make sense".
Tasm2 used to be my favorite film at that time (i had weird likes) and i felt strange after I noticed that the movie was hated. So this 26 minutes long video remembers me that everything could have been more enjoyable, good video!

Knowing Max had a mother who needed an Oxygen tank would add more weight to the scene where he causes the whole city to lose power.. cause.. you know, he killed her, indirectly but he did. Kinda sad too that EVERY scene with MJ was removed.

I read somewhere that they wanted to do the "Clone Saga" story arc for the next film. That's why they kept most of the dad scenes. But i think halfway through they kinda regret it (? (The alternate ending for example, it's loosely based on a scene of the Clone Saga in Ultimate Spider-Man) I'm sure they problably thought that the Clone Saga is pretty much an awful Spider-Man story lmao so just in case they regret it or not, they did a weird mesh of leaving some scenes with the dad and other stuff like, the Sinister Six build up, more love scenes with Gwen (which should've been the main focus imo) and other stuff... They wanted to tell so much with this film but it was way too much bs to add in. Mostly Sony's fault tho

Imagine the potential of this Movie without Electro and Rhino. Just Harry/Green Goblin, Gwen, Peter, maybe MJ if it makes sense, Norman Osborn and Richard at the end. Could have been a very deep movie with a strong foundation for a third one (Richard Parker as a key role for instance)

I just saw the re-release of TASM 2 in theaters and A LOT of these scenes are in the theatrical version! I reccomend anyone who loves this movie to go see it if you can!
Exactly, I was so disappointed this scene was cut, it shows so much emotion without any words being spoken. Also if I had spider powers I’d do the exact same thing, have a go to spot and ponder about life
Now my favorite Spidey is Tobey but I always thought Andrew COULD HAVE BEEN the best Spiderman if the writing and movies were handled better. Now I think the first one is great but 2nd definitely dropped the ball. Which sucks because in my opinion I think this movie is the best looking one. Based on the footage we have, I feel like Harry Osborn should have been the only villain. Electro is stupid and doesn’t have a good motive for his villainy, whilst Rhino is pointless and not intimidating or imposing in the slightest. Since they wanted to tackle Gwen’s relationship with Peter and her death, making the villain their best friend would’ve made the movie more concise.
Damn , the Dillon's mom scene is really hurt , he just really really need people to care for him even is just a little. Like Spider-Man did , he remember forever , because no one say good thing to him.
If they cut more of electros pity me scenes, we get the gist after the first meeting and then the accident would make more time to put the oscorp harry and his dad storyline to be fully completed. That'd be a way better movie.
This is why i love TASM more than Spider-Man 1 and 3 and far better than the crappy Holland movies. There's far more emotion and development here than most of the Spider-Man movies combined. And the music makes it 10x better!

That ending is a reference to Ultimate Spider-Man comics, and a perfect setup for a third movie! Peter could tell his dad about what’s all happened, maybe even tell him that he’s Spider-Man, and have Richard helping Peter as Spider-Man be a big part of the third movie. That scene being removed makes Pete’s parents’ involvement in these films completely useless and irrelevant imo.
That alternate ending is like the holy grail of Spidey deleted scenes, I legit wish it was in it just for the powerhouse of Garfield's acting

For me these deleted scenes are necessary for the movie if they have the time to develop and flesh out most of the characters for the plot itself.
The deleted scene of Peter and MJ meeting for the 1st time would've been such an interesting dynamic.

There was a storyboard released where MJ and Peter are on a motorcycle fleeing from The Vulture, and MJ is driving. I think she would’ve been more adventurous than the Rami version which would’ve been so cool to see, like she can handle her own

3:16 No Way Home made a parallel of that scene, and this deleted scene is CANON. They should’ve kept it. Andrew even mentioned it in NWH when talking about losing his Gwen to Tom after May’s demise. If No Way Home did this, so can TASM2.

I think they should’ve kept most of these in. It gives the movie time to breath and expands on the characters that needed that depth, even if it messes up the pacing. The quieter scenes are especially incredible

the reason those scenes were cut was because the production team already knew that a third movie wasnt gonna happen. they actually knew about this in the middle of making tasm 2, which is why all those scenes that wouldve made a good foundation for a third movie were removed
@@gursimar10That’s not the reason. Avi Arad cut most of the scenes out because of pacing. It was a hit and miss because if we included all these scenes there would literally be 14 different main characters and storylines (Peter’s blood, Harry, Electro, Rhino, Goblin, Norman, Gwen leaving, MJ, MJ’s father, Felicia Hardy, etc) and the movie would’ve been too cluttered.
Although the scene with Peter’s father alone would’ve made the movie not do as bad. There we’re actually plans and a script in making for Tasm 3, but at the time Disney and Sony were having conflicts, so they just straight up fired Andrew from the role.

The Richard parker scene is giving vibes of the peters clone in the ultimate universe. Basically, in the ultimate universe or in earth 1610, peter parker finds out his dad is alive, but through a series of incidents, it turns out peters dad was a clone, not a real one, i don't remember if the clone was a clone of peter parker or his dad, but the comics said the clone had a DNA match of peter parker. Maybe the third one could have started a clone saga

They should have kept the armor scene. It explains why Harry crawled to it while his body broke apart from the venom. He knew it would help. Without that scene, it's rendered "plot needed it to happen, who cares if it doesn't make sense".
Tasm2 used to be my favorite film at that time (i had weird likes) and i felt strange after I noticed that the movie was hated. So this 26 minutes long video remembers me that everything could have been more enjoyable, good video!

Knowing Max had a mother who needed an Oxygen tank would add more weight to the scene where he causes the whole city to lose power.. cause.. you know, he killed her, indirectly but he did. Kinda sad too that EVERY scene with MJ was removed.

I really dont understand why they would cut all the mj stuff but still keep all the useless dad scenes. The most important scene where peters dad is in was deleted (the norman scene) and they still kept that entire subplot
I read somewhere that they wanted to do the "Clone Saga" story arc for the next film. That's why they kept most of the dad scenes. But i think halfway through they kinda regret it (? (The alternate ending for example, it's loosely based on a scene of the Clone Saga in Ultimate Spider-Man)
I'm sure they problably thought that the Clone Saga is pretty much an awful Spider-Man story lmao so just in case they regret it or not, they did a weird mesh of leaving some scenes with the dad and other stuff like, the Sinister Six build up, more love scenes with Gwen (which should've been the main focus imo) and other stuff...
They wanted to tell so much with this film but it was way too much bs to add in.

For example when Max sees the power go out then scene cuts with him still talking and you can see him about to move but it cuts away to fast to notice.

Based on the footage we have, I feel like Harry Osborn should have been the only villain. Electro is stupid and doesn’t have a good motive for his villainy, whilst Rhino is pointless and not intimidating or imposing in the slightest. Since they wanted to tackle Gwen’s relationship with Peter and her death, making the villain their best friend would’ve made the movie more concise.

That ending is a reference to Ultimate Spider-Man comics, and a perfect setup for a third movie! Peter could tell his dad about what’s all happened, maybe even tell him that he’s Spider-Man, and have Richard helping Peter as Spider-Man be a big part of the third movie. That scene being removed makes Pete’s parents’ involvement in these films completely useless and irrelevant imo.
