Remove Waterproof Eye Makeup Fast & Effectively

- Here's a little trick I discovered recently when I was trying to make my remover last longer. This technique ended being more effective than how I used to do it. Plus, it saves a lot of product, too (I usually have to REALLY drench the cotton round if I want my waterproof mascara to melt off fast). Give this a try, and let me know if it makes a difference for you =)
Btw, sorry if my eye was out of frame some parts of the video...it's a bit hard for me to sit still entirely lol.
On my eye:
Maybelline Falsies mascara (waterproof)
Ulta Automatic Eyeliner (black)
Some light eyeshadow that I applied 10 hours before filming.
On my nails:
I'm Not Really a Waitress by OPI

I LOVE YOUR EYE SHAPE!
@piyo1717 Have you tried the other eye makeup remover by Boots (The dual action one that's clear and blue)? I heard it's really good, too. I haven't tried either...wonder which one is better =) The one from the Botanics line seems to separate very fast...does that ever bother you?
Wow, this is a great idea. I really hate tugging my eyes too, but since I have to remove all my eye makeup, I feel like I don't have a choice but to constantly tug the skin near my eyes. It looks fast too which is good cuz since I am a mom of 2, I really don't have time to fuss around in removing my stubborn makeup. Thanks again.
Wow, this was very helpful!! Thank you!! Did you use waterproof eyeliner too?
im glad you made this video! my Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara wont go away that easily and this helps alot :)
Thank you for this! My HG makeup remover is Remove by Sonia Kashuk which is notoriously hard to find in my area. This method will help me conserve my beloved remover!
yeah, the Maybelines Falsies mascara in waterproof is close to impossible to remove.. so glad u showed me this(:
i really love your nail polish! hehe
Thanks for the tip. Will try it out.
you always give great tips ! Thanks
@MsLovin2010 Many people swear by it, but it doesn't get rid of waterproof mascara fast enough for me. Plus, I got a swollen eye the last time when I tried it lol
i love your nail polish
@jenwexxx369 I'm afraid to try again bc my eyes are very prone to cysts if I use any kind of oil (it almost happened the last time when I tried grapeseed oil =/). I love jojoba oil for moisturizing skin and hair, but I find that it still doesn't take off waterproof mascara as well as makeup remover. I guess I'm just stuck with the expensive store-bought stuff lol
Cool idea! Lol I use the exact same mascara and eyeliner as you :)
@XxNajmaxX No...it doesn't bother me at all (it didn't get in my eye tho...just on my lashes). You may want to try a different brand that is more suitable for your sensitive eyes =)
just the tip i needed :D thanks !
@dilm2008 Water usually doesn't take off the waterproof mascaras I use, especially with Cover Girl's Lash Blast =/
@TheSilverBerries I agree it works really well...I stopped using it after I found out mineral oil ages your skin =/
Nice tip. Thanks!
no matter how hard/long i scrub at my eyelashes i never get all of the mascara off, so i'm definitely going to try using a makeup brush! thanks!
Pond's Cold Cream Makeup Remover is the BEST makeup remover. It comes in a jar with a net weight of 172g. You only need a little bit. And so that jar will last for a long time. I only get like 2-3 jars a year. It removes stubborn water proof makeup in like ten seconds - and I'm not exaggerating.
Good tip!
@jenwexxx369 I know a lot of ppl swear by olive oil, and I wished it works for me. However, imo it doesn't dissolve waterproof mascara as fast as dual action eye makeup removers. When I tried it last time, it clogged my pores somehow, and I woke up with a really swollen eyelid O_o
@piyo1717 Really? Thanks! I definitely will give that a try since I'm running low on mine anyways. My favorite drugstore remover so far is Remove by Sonia Kashuk (also available at Target). It's a bit pricier, but it works wonders!! Works as well as Bi Facil by Lancome ^^
YaYa, can you do a tutorial on how to groom/shape your eyebrows? :)
@azngirlkari It probably will take off most eye makeup but it doesn't take off waterproof mascara tho =/ Also it's not that great if you're prone to milia bc it can clog pores, so just be careful :)
What's the name of the remover. And where can i buy it lol?? The results are amazing
Interesting technique.
@xOkritter Haha thanks!
@beneathyourlove I really like it, too...dunno why some ppl dislike it so much lol. Ya after seeing lines around my eyes, I started being more careful...wish I started doing this earlier O_o
I just use any face cream with a cotton pad to remove my makeup. usually some face moisturizer that i bought but don't like or just some samples of too rich cream that i don't want to use on my face.
@ema2d I agree that works really well, too...I do that when I'm too lazy to wash the brush hehe :)
@euphoriacc I just recently started using Essie and am really liking them. I'll definitely keep an eye out for Topless & Barefoot =) Thanks for sharing
@emmy4559 agree, it stays on even with waterproof makeup remover!!!
I use the same mascara and its such a pain to remove!! Thanks for the tip!!
Can you use any basic eye makeup remover or something really strong?!?
(: ~RyleeSky~
can you do the same thing using your finger and not a brush?
@dilm2008 Oh...haha ok...I'll definitely give that a try :D Thanks for the tip ^^
@MsMissmona Mineral oil ages your skin slowly tho =/
@YaYaLifestyle Yes, perhaps I should try another brand.. Thank you so much ! I love your videos, you are so pretty and helpful ^_____^
@partyxbarbie Then you should definitely try this out...really helps ^__^
@guadalupe1011 Yes...if you have really hairy fingertips that will hold the remover lol...totally kidding! ;p I think a brush or cotton swab would be better so you can get into small areas more easily. Do whatever works for you though :)
i do this too but i just use a q-tip instead of a brush :)
I heard olive oil is an awesome eye makeup remover to.
this was great, but yea it works even with the vaseline petroleum jelly......
@mirukufy Aw that's so sweet of you to say to a 27 year old woman lol...thanks!
The eye make-up remover doesn't hurt your eyes ? Me, I can never leave my eyes opened while removing my make-up, it burns my eyes :/
the falsie's mascara never comes offf completely on my eye /:
i feel like you used the same amount if you just put a squirt in the pad... then held the pad on your eye... then wiped it away.
i use baby oil as a makeup remover and then wash my face right away with facial wash...
@meguyuki Haha yay~ ^__^
Your skin is still nice super close up and in HD. lol.
at 1:32 it looked like your eye was in pain
