I guess now I will have to buy all the tools and make it work somehow- I'm suscribing to this channel!

i had many hobbies most of them i still do, from gaming to audiophile to guitar to piano and bass, but i never had such a useless hobby as keyboards, and yet I am still here searching for a piece of foam to fit into my keyboard
Pff, i have a keyboard and when i press some keycaps it sounds like a spring noisy sound. Its called ping. The ping is from switches, not from under keyboard material or case bad structure. If i don’t have lube, the sound is reducing in time, or just stays like that? P.S.: i have Outemu Blue switches
Hey Switch and Click, do you have a video that explains how to reprogram keys on custom keyboards? There are things like VIA but not really clear which keyboards it works with and what other tools exist.
-hi Betty, I want to consult about stuck/mushy stabs. So, I've bought the Durock Transparent Clear stabs (plate mount), it turns out that this Transparent Clear variant is a bit different than the Smokey Black and Tourmaline variant. This one happened to have rails inside of the housing, and the stem legs are shaped similarly to standard prebuilt stock stabs, but thicker so I don't think it's necessary to clip them. While the housings of the smokey black and tourmaline variant doesn't have any rails inside, and their stem legs are completely flat. Tbh, the rails are indeed good to reduce the stem vs housing rattle, but it seems to make it a bit stuck when placed at the spacebar as the rails made them too tight. I'm at a loss on how to overcome this. Currently I grabbed a pair of housing and stem from my still-not-used-yet Durock Tourmaline stab just for the spacebar stab as a temporary solution. At first, I thought it was caused by the keycap, then I've also checked the spacebar wire, but then I tried them on four different keyboards of mine and found out that they're all stuck the same due to the railings being too tightly pressed against the stem. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks
Wow! Brilliant advice given and received. The best notes in the information box. Instead of foam why not try those silicone oven liners [they can take a lot of heat] inside keyboard to dampen noise. You have received a sub from me. Good luck with the move.
The hard part about key caps is finding them in stock. Just getting into the hobby and literally everything is sold out... mildly frustrating is understating. Where can we find some decent ABS SA in stock? Looking for form over function so GB’s are not interesting to me at all.
I *just* got a set of SA caps for my Q1, and they are a real joy to type on. I use a wrist-rest when I am typing, or I raise my wrists off the table (like a good boy) and the caps are just wonderful to use.
Hey Betty, what tools do you use to cut the "dish foam" that we put in between the PCB? So many holes, kinda hard to do without some creative workaround.
Hey! Just wanted to let you know I tried putting an eva foam plus rubber hole to the keycaps, now my not expensive keyboard feels and sounds good. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

I am using HyperX Alloy Origins Core...& its really awesome...after watching your videos started thinking about custom Keyboard :-)
i feel like most people click off your videos because you are a girl or some other thing. you are VERY underrated and i think u deserve at least 300k subs, you help me alot and youve earned a sub
Thanks dude!

@@phonn6935 yea ever heard of sexism and racism
@@pmsl so either you like to embarass people online, im misunderstanding you, or ur racist
@@pmsl first of all, you didnt get a heart, second of all, it wasnt about racism i was just saying she was underrated and i liked those things, third of all, you are trying to use reverse psychology on me, which is not going to work. maybe go learn tactics to ashame people on the internet someone else. Have a great day!
I just bought my first mechanical keyboard and I'm having such a hard time... I bought it in AKKO, it came with a faulty switch, I have to press really hard the letter 'N', customer support would just send me links as if I were a professional or a geek on this... keyboard its amazing but I paid 120 dollars in a keyboard that doesnt work properly plus if you have a Macbook, some keyboards remain useless (all the F keys and no sound control). I guess now I will have to buy all the tools and make it work somehow- I'm suscribing to this channel!
Great video!! I have a question. How long does the lube last? I mean, how often do you have to do this (sorry, i'm using a translator)
Got my sub. Fantastic video, thank you!!!
I use o rings on my keyboard with outemu blue switches, and it feels smoother, sounds quieter and is overall better, I suggest that anyone who's thinking of getting o rings, should definitely get them.
Got mine lol, 240 pieces
Yeah I got o rings a while ago but not satisfied yet... I’m going to try putting foam tomorrow, but I’ll probably end up getting a quieter switch still
Still one of the best on this subject
i swear once you type with lubed tealio switches, you cant go back to mx reds. its like going from 144hz to 60.
@@SwitchandClickOfficial lubed mx blue

what is the keyboard at 1:18? the black chamfered look is so nice :)
i had many hobbies most of them i still do, from gaming to audiophile to guitar to piano and bass, but i never had such a useless hobby as keyboards, and yet I am still here searching for a piece of foam to fit into my keyboard
Helpful video. Do you know the name of the keyboard at 1:28? Thankyou
The foam works so well. No more ringing lmfao.
Switch and Click glad to *not* hear it lmao
Sounds really good without u my keyboard would sound trash 👌
Pff, i have a keyboard and when i press some keycaps it sounds like a spring noisy sound. Its called ping. The ping is from switches, not from under keyboard material or case bad structure. If i don’t have lube, the sound is reducing in time, or just stays like that? P.S.: i have Outemu Blue switches
lol did u ever find out?
It will probably stay like that. Lubing the springs a little should reduce it.
Hey Switch and Click, do you have a video that explains how to reprogram keys on custom keyboards? There are things like VIA but not really clear which keyboards it works with and what other tools exist.
I have a Beautiful wooden desk with a detachable glass top.
Ok?
good videos they have good tips im looking to make a custom im super excited
Thanks
Really well explained :D
Thanks that was a really good informative video :)
Thank you for watching!
can u take apart a switch without desoldering?
Lovely video. Thanks a lot!
Wow!
Brilliant advice given and received.
The best notes in the information box.
Instead of foam why not try those silicone oven liners [they can take a lot of heat] inside keyboard to dampen noise.
You have received a sub from me.
Good luck with the move.
@@SwitchandClickOfficial You are most welcome.
How did the move go?
@@SwitchandClickOfficial I hope all goes well and smoothly [as stress free as possible].
hello i just wanted to say love your vid
The hard part about key caps is finding them in stock. Just getting into the hobby and literally everything is sold out... mildly frustrating is understating. Where can we find some decent ABS SA in stock? Looking for form over function so GB’s are not interesting to me at all.
I *just* got a set of SA caps for my Q1, and they are a real joy to type on. I use a wrist-rest when I am typing, or I raise my wrists off the table (like a good boy) and the caps are just wonderful to use.
Can you please tell me what’s that keyboard name 1:28
I don’t know much about keyboards but I own a ducky 12 mini frozen lama, are my key caps good quality?
Sa looks like it would give a good thocc but it’s hard to get that without certain switches and etc
Yeah, better with linear imo
Hey Betty, what tools do you use to cut the "dish foam" that we put in between the PCB? So many holes, kinda hard to do without some creative workaround.
Hey! Just wanted to let you know I tried putting an eva foam plus rubber hole to the keycaps, now my not expensive keyboard feels and sounds good. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
