Thank you for this! Do you get the sense from what you learned that someone could have low BMD from the DEXA but the Echolight could should show good bone strength?
That's exactly what happened to me: I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis following a DEXA scan, but a then a REMS scan with Ecolight said I only had osteopenia...the doctors were very surprised! They had no explanation.

What would you suggest I do if my DEXA scan shows a T score of 2.7 for my femoral neck (my 3rd DEXA over 5 years) but my REMS shows Normal. Performed a month apart.
@@alicemurphy4239yes it can. The REMS scan recognizes the osteoarthritis, and disregards it and does not use it in the calculation of BMD, and bone quality.
