  • In this video I show you how to tie The Oil Slick fly, a Frenchie variation that works great for euro nymphing. This little attractor fly pattern is one of my go-to confidence flies that works well in most all conditions and sizes.
Give it a try sometime and let me know how it works for you!

Beautiful! I don't know if it is just me, but I like seeing the materials used first just so I have an idea what goes into it before you start tying it. Would love to see more! I am new to fly tying and I also euro nymph so videos like this are very educational and helpful! Thanks for sharing.

This one seems to work all over too. Tied these up a couple of weeks back and have had some good success here on the Colorado Front Range streams and in 11 Mile Canyon this weekend. Want to try the CNS next. Thanks for the great content.

Great fly, cant wait to try it out. Quick question on the resin. Any comment on the solarez thin hard vs the solarez ultra thin bonedry ?

Interesting fly. Have to give it a go. Do you add weight for faster deeper water? Thanks for sharing.

I change weight based on the bead size and not directly on the line through a split shot or something like that. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
