Non of the options are perfect tbh. There’s degrees of bad. Legion being the worst. But it’s kinda the whole ethos of fallout. That war… war never changes. House was in a bad position without the upgraded Securitrons. Once NCR or Legion got the other out of the way, he would be doomed without the Platinum chip.

It's all a big humiliation ritual out of spite for higher quality games and lore, end of story.
Bethesda want to make a post apocalyptic scifi movie and games, not like where the world is progressing from the war and cash in in Obsidian/Interplays Fallout 1 nostalgia, which make them very lazy. Remember that since Fallout 2 with the exemption of NV, different main characters have a dog companion named as Dogmeat? They made the gameplay better but the story is very badly written.

a margin of error of ±10% might be perfectly acceptable for mr house, he is going to be pissed with mcclane once he finds out what happened to the ncr, the courier will be dispatched to bring this mungo to heel!
In the House and Independent endings of New Vegas General Oliver threatens the Courier saying that the NCR will come back to claim the Strip for themselves. Which sounds to me that they will attack House/The Courier. Going by what we saw at the end of season one they did attack.
I think what happened is that Courier helped the NCR who was able to push back the Legion which thereafter is in a slump because Caesar finally died of his brain tumor. The victory was shortlived however due to the nuking of Shady Sands which caused the NCR to reluctantly pull out of the Mojave to secure its own borders. This left Mr House as the default winner but since the NCR became crippled, less people traveled to the strip and so New Vegas is currently in an economic recession with House once again waiting and building his strength
The NCR was also in a steady economical decline in the years leading up to and during the events of FNV so maybe they won over the Legion, but found that a conquered Mojave wasn't the economical boon they needed it to be. Maybe the Dam got irreparably damaged during the fighting, amongst many other things.
House is cannon no matter what Bethesda decides. From a narrative perspective House has done the most to earn a victory, House victory leaves the factions in the most neutral state, and a House ending adds the most to any future narratives. The only one that is close would be Yesman, but his ending is too stupid, would leave a broken Vegas realistically.
I don’t think enough credit is given to courier intervention. Courier has every reason to side with House due to their work relationship, generous bonus’, and him saving his life and alongside long term future stability with him taking a role in it. In the case of the Courier, we know Courier 6 is one to make and break a nation, if he helps House, then he in turn reshapes a new nation. I like to think that the Courier with his technology from Big MT (which we know he rules over after its ending) could very heavily benefit House and the future of Vegas. On top of a good karma courier being said to keep House a fair man to the people of Vegas. I think the issue with Vegas if it is in ruin would be due to NCRs sudden loss of Economy following Shady Sands’ fall. Which if it happens right after Vegas would of course stagnate House’s immediate plans. Another issue is the case of the Brotherhood regaining might due to the East and West converging. We essentially have a Brotherhood nation in the making from the East coast, now backing the West, and I imagine they don’t take kindly to House and his machines.
What I think happened is that The House Ending absolutely did occur, however, things didn't end there. With the Mojave Chapter of the NCR mostly crippled by after the 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam and by Hanlan's statements of the NCR's growing instability due to corruption, it seems to me that the military presence within New Vegas/The Mojave was greatly diminished. What does this mean? The Legion are ripe to go right back to The Mojave and start their Campaign again, I believe that the destruction that's apparent in the visage of New Vegas is due to The Legion as while The NCR would have no possibility and no reason to go back to The Mojave after House takes over Hoover Dam as they're still getting what they want which is electricity, The Legion wants to completely take over The Mojave fully and take New Vegas as it's Capital. The Legion is multiple states long and whether Lanius or Caesar is in charge, they would not take such a loss lightly. More than likely is that New Vegas has been completely decimated by the outstanding population difference between the MK2 Securitrons/Families and The Legion Army which previously worked through infiltration but now would have no reason (or ability) to do so in their now 3rd Mojave Campaign. The end result of this being House "winning" and ensuring that The Legion didn't succeed in taking over New Vegas/The Mojave but in return everything he had built up is gone now. He's just an empty husk essentially with probably a fledging amount of Securitrons with no way for him to work towards any of his dreams, this would be the reason why he would join forces in the Show as well, as he'd be given a 2nd chance. This also sets up The Legion as a growing threat in Season 2, as even in a failed potential 3rd Campaign, there'd STILL be Legionnaires left so there 4th Campaign would be something that the Main Characters of the Show would have to worry about, likely starting a "The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend" dynamic between all of the Main Characters against The Legion and who knows what else is out there. It would be funny to see if The Brotherhood, who'd also be looking for Lucy's Father, in Season 2 establishes an "alliance" with what's left of Caesar's Legion against the remnants of House's Securitron Army.
No, the Legion dies with Caesar. Without him the Legion falls into different warlords fighting with each other. Lanius would be busy quelling the rebellions if he's still alive, but since the NCR is there, they probably have dispatched him.
I'd suspected that the House ending was canon for a while, because that one had the most potential for a sequel while also giving the player a chance for a "golden" ending. It's "possible" that he uploaded his noggin into a Securitron during an NCR victory, but that's unlikely. Thematically speaking, the House ending works best. The NCR ending is way too optimistic for Fallout. Caesar is way too pessimistic. And Yes Man is, frankly, a default ending for first time players who accidentally piss everyone off. Oh, and Starfield and The Outer Worlds, assuming they're both part of the various sections of the Fallout universe, canonize House... kind of.
Another possibility is that the Courier sided with the NCR but did the bare minimum required to help them win, leaving all the other problems in the NCR bases to fester and make the situation untenable.
My personal head cannon on what happened was mr house won and then after the nuking of the ncr they then when into all out war the brotherhood thus pulling all there resources to to fighting them and maybe another faction cause of how fast the brotherhood got to shaddy sands would indicate they were already in a weakened state although that may just be because of them losing the dam all of this was basically a unknown factor sent into houses plans thus causing that stagnation we see at the end for las vegas and that verta bird with the ruins of vegas i feel like its foreshadowing a war between the brotherhood and mr house
I always found it interesting that, in the N.C.R. ending, you could chose to isolate House instead of killing them. That would be a very interesting option had the N.C.R. fallen shortly after.... Someone could be on their way to restart a House, that isn't all powerful? Although - Wouldn't house also be a threat to this grand plan of the tri-vault?
I think if the show wants to leave it as a whatever ending is cannon then most likely either legionnncr control collapsed due to shady sands or ideology. And in lonesome road it was said the tunnelers would arrive in the Mojave and I don’t think Mr house or independent Vegas would handle it
Also could be that the “house” we kill is nothing more than a decoy, and the true house is lying somewhere deeper in the lucky 38 and after we kill the decoy the true house simply decides to wait to strike when their killer less expects it, in that instance while he could be a future threat to whoever faction wins the Mojave, he won’t show himself long after the game ends. Yeah that would be a retcon, but it wouldn’t be the first time the franchise has one.
From what I've seen in the show, I think Yes Man is actually the canon ending. Mind you, the worst kind of Yes Man ending where the courier blows up the securitron army, doesn't ally anyone and leaves the Brotherhood be. The NCR was kicked out of the Mojave but later returned with overwhelming force, destroyed the Courier's paltry securitron forces and conquered Vegas a la Dust, but shortly afterwards Shady Sands was nuked leading to the NCR pulling out again leaving behind a ruined deserted city. That would explain the destroyed NCR vertibirds and securitrons littering Vegas's streets. As for a Wild Card ending requiring Mr House to be dead, I wouldn't consider that an absolute rule any more than the location of Shady Sands. Amazon/Bethesda will make up their own NV ending for season 2.
You can leave house alive while taking over his casino, and doing Benny's plan for yourself. I did, I wanted house to watch as I used his resources to rule over New Vegas as an unkillable time controlling god.

I suspect the exchange between Moldaver, Hank, and Lucy was a mixture of truths and half-truths, where Hank did not feel it was a good idea to correct the record. Vault-Tec may have planned to start the war, and may even believe that they did, but I don't think it was actually them.
Hi yaboiii, After re watching the Fallout TV series again I've noticed a serious thing that many aren't talking about. What I noticed is that the West brotherhood has at one point merged with the Legion. Their are theories that show evidence of this and its very telling as well. From There behavior, and colors to naming in the show gives credence to this. on top of the their flag being a gold red design. Just thought you should look at it.
It would explain why House would not have propped up the NCR if they had a been at odds with one another. Had they been fighting, when the fall would happen it makes sense House would not have helped.
Something it came to mind while watching this is that if hank is trying to reach House, House will be piss if he gets to know that this little brat nuked one and might be only costumers for him, I am intrigued to see that if House ever gets to know (it would be kinda stupid if he doesn't get to know about it as he is supposed to be the most intelligent person in the fallout universe). Also, here's an idea for a possible future video, why house gave his trust to one of his employers that being the courier? It is quite interesting as you are an insane unpredictable wildcard that happened to be working (before benny "killed" you) for you, the implications of the question alone makes for a good video imo 😉 👍
11:10 to be fair, the Fallout TV show doesn't take place 20 years after New Vegas. So technically the time limit hasn't been reached yet. Another possibility is that the industry is concentrated within New Vegas itself, not the surrounding towns. Therefore it would be hard to spot from a distance, especially since industrial machines would be inside of buildings
I still believe in my heart of hearts that Bethesda, being the agents of chaos they are, will want to make Yes Man’s ending canon. If House did survive though, I really hope they fire the actor who plays him in the flashbacks and bring on someone more believable.
As much i want the House ending to be canon, i don't consider the show to be canon. It shits on the og games, and the retcons are unforgivable. changing the location of Shady Sands. makes the stupid vault tec nuke theory canon. Sinclair being the representative for big mt. A vault being out the open in LA and not getting invaded by the Master or being opened by the NCR. And many other unnecessary changes because Bethesda and the show runners don't care. And the show has shity marvel tier humor.
Vault tech nukes is just objectively a better storyline than "china did it!". Claiming "its more likely to happen" is kind of ridiculous when you're talking about the universe with Deathclaws, Ghouls, and Aliens... and it explains why Vault tech created all these Vault torture tests.
Sorry by NV was Nuked. In the ending scene of the last episode, NV was abandoned & there is a huge crater where the Followers camp\Camp Golf is located. In the TV series NCR is also gone. You can see California has become completely lawless, leaving just small remnants of towns left. No more NCR & no more NV (Mr House). Not sure why Hank traveled to New Vegas, Perhaps because there is a Vault-tec asset located there (ie unknown vault).

i think they’re going to make it that no matter what ending was chosen, house “died” and is now an AI entirely. every ending seems plausible except for the legion ending
I really think that either yes man or house will be the cannon ending. I don't see NCR being able to control New Vegas for a long time especially if the Legion survived the second battle of hoover damm and I don't see the Legion being able to stay around and keep the strip if Caesar dies
Tunnelers ending is my favourite, therefore its up to anyones interpretation on who won because it doesn't really matter because the all the shit from the dlc is coming to wreck vegas
IMO developers hinted at yes man winning as the courier is portrayed with the vault 21 duster Edit:not gonna die on this hill as I haven’t touched the games in awhile
few points -you don't actually have to kill house -house was very hostile towards the Wife and Bud's proposals -in NV he shows dislike towards the vaults and the show sort of keeps this behavior up with him not spitballing ideas for vault-experiments -While Vegas is house turf, Sinclair really isn't that far away so maybe it's hinting at more big corpos who reside in this nevada/arizona locale -Vegas simply is in the centre of everything Westcoast related; soon Sonora will be canon!
I mean The courier was supposed to deliver the chip to Mr House. That and I'd argue House is the best for the mojave out of the 4. That and Mr House is Hot. Kimball,Caesar, and yes man are not.
I think that Yes man will end up being the cannon, because in the last conversation you have with him he goes offline with a software upgrade, this I think will be the stored memories of Mr House like nick valentine reasserting itself over the machine like ghost it would also explain why New Vegas is a ruined city (also Tod didn't do new Vegas and killing everything off is a way of saying that he owns the franchise)

By one word they crossed the line and the Courier became one of their biggest threats in Mohave. I don’t remember any other person or line that triggered me that badly.
They're willing to murder Mr.House also
Non of the options are perfect tbh. There’s degrees of bad. Legion being the worst. But it’s kinda the whole ethos of fallout. That war… war never changes. Even when we have peace something happens and we destroy ourselves. It’s a constant battle for peace and prosperity. We usually fall due to greed, hate, hubris. All these qualities can be seen in the factions of new vegas. I think the best option is yes man dependent on the karma and skill of the courier. An independent and free vegas. Sure may not have space ships or delusions of grandeur like mr house but the people will be safe. They will be free. They can build a new life under a compassionate, smart ruler (obviously all depends on player actions, and their characters build.)
@@lemonynora I’d say it’s 1 to 100 chance that Yes-man would be a good choice. Non of Yes-man or the Courier knows how to “rule” such massive place as whole Vegas, with Families, who once been raiders and always trying to get their “piece of the pie”, with all those undercover dirty deals and betrayal. Who will be safe? Without gaze oh House, the families will go even more aggressive. With thread from Raiders, mutants, ghouls from outside. It just too complicated. Who is the Courier? A postman . I highly doubt he have any skill or knowledge in such. Look at the King, he is definitely not the best ruler for the Freeside, but at least he has an idea, a vision, he believes in what he is doing. What the Courier wants? Nobody knows.
Also Yes-Man is wild card, he shows the signs of self awareness, by talking about “software” update when connecting and going offline to the House’s net. Who could predict his move? Why would the machine value human lives without courier at control, and what can happen when he will be gone?
Too complicated, too much uncertainty.
Bro even Boon when you ask him what are his thoughts of the NCR conflict a new vegas he pulls a "we annexed it now were settling it, these people who are angry at there homes being taken away from them and now have to pay taxes to a regime who only send in there way when tax month roles around, don't appreciate the service we do for them".
I love Boon but damhe and this guy use to be a great khan not even native from shady sands, and he still ate up the propaganda and suckling on Oliver's teats hard. I know most NCR soldiers don't wanna be in the mojavie with the public being pissed they have to fight some foraghne war in some no where desert.
Should give you an idea at the NCRs actual philosophy and how it aims to direct it's citizenry on the values it wants to build itself off. The fact it hasn't twisted in to a even more arranged version of pre war America or even the Enclave is a miracle.
@@lemonynorauntil you realize the Courier eventually leaves vegus for big Mountain and doesn't return for years to come. Especially when you realize a in lore courier; if we ignore the RPG element's is legit nothing but a Courier, a drifter Ulysses describes him.
As I doubt he would be able to run a nation, an in lore courier might be charismatic if we take in to consideration the lore and how it directs itself. But if we speculate how his or hers life might have been like with what little information we have on the Courier through Ulysses. Its he or she is a hardened waist lander trying to get by.
Remarkable yes but, defenetly no nation builder, or has the experience or would even want the responsibility of rulling a nation and would have just done the job he was given and move else where like his always done.
Have you ever read the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov? House's use of mathematics to predict probable future events sounds a lot like Seldon's psychohistory.
It also makes sense for the embodiment of Las Vegas to obsess over probability
I very much believe that Mr. houses ending is canon. since I don’t think an independent Vegas would’ve lasted long.🐱

@@leafpratt I'd actually prefer the flashbacks of house. Seeing him go against Vault tech would be so cool. Like political/corperate game of thrones type shit
@@remimk100% you can see the seeds of that in the show. Like I think he said his money is on the wastelanders and that vault tec is underestimating those who survive the Great War. Which ultimately he is 100% correct. And you see in new vegas he recruits the tribes and uses them to rebuild vegas. Where as vault tec or enclave would have just killed them all. I don’t think Hank is going to find mr house I think vegas is just a stop on his quest.
We saw New Vegas in the end credits of episode 8. It's destroyed. "House will show up in season 2" most likely means more flashbacks to Pre-War America.
The TV shows lore choices are going to shoehorn it into a lose lose situation imo. Either house is an idiot who got played, he’s a liar who’s not as sharp as he thinks he is or he’s an idiot.
I hope I’m wrong but it isn’t giving me hope
House was in a bad position without the upgraded Securitrons. Once NCR or Legion got the other out of the way, he would be doomed without the Platinum chip.

I'd rather never consider the show Canon for the sake for the games lore, it's a situation where the devs and owners of the IP don't understand they've just committed the same mistake and happy gutting George Lucas and Dave Filoni committed when they started inserting and painting over the star wars universe.
No he was turned into swiss cheese for standing in the way of the Legion. Canon ending btw
My head canon is the courier won for the ncr removed house non leathally but when shady sames was destroyed and the republic collapsed he actived the securtton army try’d to make the independent Vegas work but like a arcane found out it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be and desided he need a partner
The better question is why should we even care what the TV show does when it uses time jumps as an excuse to destroy the lore of the Interplay Fallouts and an entire civilization the playable characters helped build up from Fallouts 1-2? It's all a big humiliation ritual out of spite for higher quality games and lore, end of story.
Bethesda want to make a post apocalyptic scifi movie and games, not like where the world is progressing from the war and cash in in Obsidian/Interplays Fallout 1 nostalgia, which make them very lazy. Remember that since Fallout 2 with the exemption of NV, different main characters have a dog companion named as Dogmeat? They made the gameplay better but the story is very badly written.
"No matter what cards you stack, the house always wins." - Me
TBF Conditions presented to NCR are more then generous.
Yeah mr house just wants to profit. He needs the NCR as they help his economy. This could be why the place looks like trash in the fallout show due to losing that customer base. There is still people living there but it just doesn’t look as prosperous as before
@@lemonynoraHouse or Yes Man could have kept the dam running with bots alone if they were upgraded. That alone would keep the lights on. It would just mean everything looks like Freeside.
Also, no, not for industrial use that the NCR would need to grow. Only 5 caps/gallon would work for subsistance living. In the US, $5 per 1,000 gallons is normal for commercial use according to the EPA's WaterSense website.

Sooo for now I'll just headcanon that House dream came true and thanks to big Mt technologies they all just fucking went to space like he wanted just much earlier and this is why city looks empty
I feel that Bethesda really doesn't like fallout NV as they really want to undermine the whole area around it and the factions within it.
They really at least to me want the story to move on.
Also I'm no NCR fanboy but cheaply killing of the NCRs capital and having the brotherhood return to dominance just seems lazy and boring.
That or the cut ending were house and the ncr make peace is the actual canon one would not be the first time a bumb out ending was later canonized
When he said "Diversify your portfolio" did anyone else have a flashback to Wu-Tang Financial, or was it just me?
They will turn house into some crazed bag guy with motives not in line with his character
10:56 Perhaps because the NCR appears to have collasped in the show, he lost a massive customer base.
a margin of error of ±10% might be perfectly acceptable for mr house, he is going to be pissed with mcclane once he finds out what happened to the ncr, the courier will be dispatched to bring this mungo to heel!
It's possible some events of DUST happened like the tunneler invasion.
The NCR was also in a steady economical decline in the years leading up to and during the events of FNV so maybe they won over the Legion, but found that a conquered Mojave wasn't the economical boon they needed it to be. Maybe the Dam got irreparably damaged during the fighting, amongst many other things.
The House Always Wins!
Is it me or is this tangent mr house is speaking on the entire backstory behind starfield?? Wdf am I the only ones who’s seeing this?
Not if I'm the Courier. Wildcard, baby.
Another thing about the Legion ending is that the Legion ends up destroying the strip. The point of the omertas were to gas and massacre the strip.
The next season will answer one of the penultimate questions of Fallout: What the hell happened to Courier Six?
"Why Not?"
Mr. House only bets Xanatos Gambits.
It's possible DUST happened and the NCR invaded the strip.
I've been waiting for this video
If you want my bed I'd say House went back to hibernation after the failure of the NCR his funding dried up
I always found it interesting that, in the N.C.R. ending, you could chose to isolate House instead of killing them.
And in lonesome road it was said the tunnelers would arrive in the Mojave and I don’t think Mr house or independent Vegas would handle it
7:26 I thought that you could spare Mr. House in the Yes Man ending but simply cut him off from his control of the Lucky 38.
When you open the chamber, hes dead within a year from exposure
Also could be that the “house” we kill is nothing more than a decoy, and the true house is lying somewhere deeper in the lucky 38 and after we kill the decoy the true house simply decides to wait to strike when their killer less expects it, in that instance while he could be a future threat to whoever faction wins the Mojave, he won’t show himself long after the game ends.
Yeah that would be a retcon, but it wouldn’t be the first time the franchise has one.
thats kinda lazy writing in my book... "somehow, House survives!" and the automotons? They fly now
Father Elijah won as Fallout Dust is canon
The real ending was the King and Rex take the Lucky 38. Or at least it should have been 😢

I always chose house not because it's all techno and stuff but of the ending slide of your karma place in fact of how he stuff.
I hope we see some legionnaires in the show I think they would be fun
Could be the yes man ending, and the courier just moved on and yes man messed up later
Not sure why Hank traveled to New Vegas, Perhaps because there is a Vault-tec asset located there (ie unknown vault).
imagine if it is just raiders living there and the man is dead
I'm certain there's a way to do yes man ending without killing house but eitherway an AI version of him is 100% a possibility considering his connections and his own intelligence and technology
i think they’re going to make it that no matter what ending was chosen, house “died” and is now an AI entirely. every ending seems plausible except for the legion ending
Mr House relies on NCR for money, his plan is dependent on NCR existence.
The only ending that House survives is in the House ending, so if House is still alive, that means he must have won
If house is alive, then all other endings can’t be canon
I'm not sure why yaboiii thinks that's an NCR vertibird when the Enclave and BOS are apparently still alive and well.
I really think that either yes man or house will be the cannon ending. I don't see NCR being able to control New Vegas for a long time especially if the Legion survived the second battle of hoover damm and I don't see the Legion being able to stay around and keep the strip if Caesar dies
But he didn’t overcharge them, at least for the water. 5 caps a gallon or 20 caps a bottle from others. It’s a steal!
Tunnelers ending is my favourite, therefore its up to anyones interpretation on who won because it doesn't really matter because the all the shit from the dlc is coming to wreck vegas
I think the ending will have the tunnelers pop up and most of new vegas is chaos
IMO developers hinted at yes man winning as the courier is portrayed with the vault 21 duster
Edit:not gonna die on this hill as I haven’t touched the games in awhile
I think the Dead Money ending is cannon
few points
-you don't actually have to kill house
-house was very hostile towards the Wife and Bud's proposals
-in NV he shows dislike towards the vaults and the show sort of keeps this behavior up with him not spitballing ideas for vault-experiments
-While Vegas is house turf, Sinclair really isn't that far away so maybe it's hinting at more big corpos who reside in this nevada/arizona locale
-Vegas simply is in the centre of everything Westcoast related; soon Sonora will be canon!
Mr House got hold of the cabbet family an got some of the blood an is now 30 years old again 😂
2:15 they mightve been sent from vault tech
I mean
The courier was supposed to deliver the chip to Mr House.
NCR ending is unlikely, NCR assassins would’ve killed Hank for his actions on Shady Sands before he can reach the Mojave border
The House Always Wins.
Said It at The End too; hah.
If you don’t change anything during your play through I’m pretty sure it autos to House
House, Benny/Independent Vegas, were never gonna succeed unless the Courier intervened on their behalf
I effing hate that they are probably going to canonize one of the endings for New Vegas
The show isn't canon though. Neither are Bethesda fallouts
5:42 Stephen House
Maybe house does win, but after shady sands gets nuked, Mr house takes the remains of the ncr and becomes their new president.
Don't rely on those idiots that made the Fallout TV show to do the true Fallout legacy any justice. They will just screw it up Hollywood style.
The outer worlds is the house ending!
Mr House succeeds, and that lead to Starfield... maybe that's not success then.
It'll be a waste if we don't get House back for Season 2.
Ave, True to House
Even outside the lore shit, the show was just bad. I am baffled how everyone enjoyed it so much, and i just cant bring myself to even pretend its canon. It felt like a parody of fallout tbh.
