What’s the movie about?

Why is it the only words I understood from Wilford Brimley were "here drink but do not spill, kills the grass" the rest seemed to be battle chants haha
It supposed to be cajun French, but Brimley has the pronunciation of a broke-dick dog with its muzzle blown off with a twice-barrel.

This is an underrated action movie. Yes, it is fantasy fluff but it was good, enjoyable fantasy fluff. It captured the uniqueness of the region. And I loved how the baddie's 2nd was smart and practical but he was too proud (and stupid) to listen.

I love the way the moviemakers emphasized the Frenchness of Louisiana in this movie. The names of characters, places, the old French colonial Architecture and Van Damme himself with light French accent.
