Watching from NH in the USA. A friend in Scotland posts to me his issues of SCOTTISH DIVER when he is finished reading them. Love this video !!! Our vis here is not always great either; 10-15 usual.
That is awesome. Hopefully one day you will get to dive there. Scotland offers some great diving, especially Scapa Flow. Yeah we got lucky these days. It is like NH, barely getting 10ft
@@BlueHorizonDiving I'd love to dive there but a serious medical condition now limits me to walking, slowly. I did , however , manage to climb Alt Clut, and Arthur's Seat. It took quite a while, and I was accompanied by friends who kept asking what they were supposed to do if I keeled over. Great memories.
Hehe, you called the loch a lake, but Loch Long's not a lake; it's a fjord, which is so because it has a sea entrance! Some lochs are lakes, others are inlets, others fjords, etc!🤣
Making me homesick! Hopefully you went along to Kyle of Lochalsh to Hectors Bothy for a pint and some of the best Mussels in the West of Scotland afterwards?! Great video as always guys!
Next few weeks will be rough then with videos coming up 😆 Didnt get up to Kyle of Lochalsh but the diving up there is awesome. We were up there in February when hired a van and went over to Skye. Got a wee video on that. You need to come back and visit home again Lyell
Very similar to Strangford Lough, same level of visibility but with a lower tidal flow, best experience in Strangford was running into three basking sharks a few years back.
Wow. You lucky guys. Atlantic weather (and therefore rain) has been in short supply on the West coast recently - certainly in the last few days - so do you think the excellent visibility might be down to that? Wish that was my dive, it was no fun doing my first drysuit at the A Frames with 1m or less!
Yeah when visibility is down it is not fun at all. Honestly never seen visibility like this in sew lochs. This was start of May but know it gone now 😆 How you feeling in your drysuit now?

Nice dive guys, nothing better than unexpected great viz!
Just makes a dive as we were so shocked for this site.
The anenomes are adorable!! All cute and fluffy!
Mum was like omg look at them they are cute yesterday 😆

Yep was a slip of the tongue as said in video
I was stationed in Holy Loch Scotland and did lots of diving there. Never did I wear a dry suit always a wetsuit. Some amazing diving there.
Braver than us 😂
Amazing dive! I still cannot get over seeing so much life in cold green water! Very cool - thanks for the peek into Scotland waters. 🤙
Thank you Lydia, we have lots more coming in next few weeks. Diving all over Scotland 🏴 and the UK 🇬🇧
Never seen viz on the sea lochs so good!
It is truly surprising
Great video!
Thank you 😊
Beautiful dive site, thanks for sharing.
Love Twin Piers for a nice evening dive
Nice! I wish we had at least 20ft of vis year round here in the Puget sound.
Hahaha this is very very rare in scotland 😆

That is awesome. This was a very very rare day here for that viz. normally it it 3m at best. Was so shocked when it was 20m+
Nice dive guys
It was awesome 👏
Any thoughts on the reasons for changes in water turbidity?
Honestly no idea. Viz disappeared the following week after we had been.

Check the kelp for nudibranchs next time
Yeah there is normally loads under the kelp. So cool
I was wondering, is the water salty or fresh?
It is salt water. These are sea lochs which open up to the ocean.
@@BlueHorizonDiving Thanks.
What time of year was it out of interest? TIA
This was in May
@@BlueHorizonDiving looked brill, ace vid! We're going end of august so fingers crossed it's good vis then🤞
Yeah fingers crossed but this was the best visibility we have ever seen there. Normally it is 3-5m
From Scotland or not it’s still a LOCH 🏴
Yeah I am from Glasgow and know
@@BlueHorizonDiving you did say you saw that coming… nice videos though … I’m an angler if you see any fish let me know
there's no mermaids in the lake? 😳
Sadly not
Are you guys scuba divers
Yes, we are both instructors

Loch long is a sea loch so would never be a lake anywhere in the world 🧐
We know it was a slip of the tongue.
