Great job on the video Mark. I never even heard of an Ornate Butterfly fish. We have a few different varieties of butterfly in Southeast Florida. I See Spot Fin and Four Eyed quite often and recently saw a Banded Butterfly which are pretty rare here.
And the video shows just that, well done
Thank you we try.
Amazing
It is a truly beautiful island
But where are the mantas?
There are so many around but we are not allowed to carry a GoPro when working. Ofc that is when I have mainly seen them.
Wow this is stunning!!!!
It is so good
Beautiful Dive.
It truly is ❤️
Hey man, great video! I started watching your videos a couple of years ago and am excited to say that I will learn to dive soon! Best wishes from Scotland.
That is so exciting. Hope you love it and let us know how you get on!
The mask is on very tight, much too tight
Hello There , You would consider NOT putting your finger through the spool , safety issue here , if your DSMB gets caught in a moving object (E.G : Boat/ %JetSki ) you would get injured for sure , instead holding it between your finger would be much more safer practice
Agreed! I was pinching between my thumb and pointer finger here
@BlueHorizonDiving Ok, I haven't paid enough attention then, your buoyancy is great, dsmb deployment was perfect, just shared my point of view :)
"and let a little bit of air out of your BCD" *GLUG GLUG GLUG GLUG GLUG* xD
Yep we are naturally negatively buoyant and don’t even have any weights on in this video.
Thats why your lungs rupture if you dont breathe when ascending
Yep!
Pinching nostrils wasnt working for me but not moving at all (except for breathing of course) or doing small empty gulps did
Exactly, different techniques work too. Awesome gulping works for you. Always like to show all the different techniques to our students. So they can find the one that works best for them.

Glad you had good dive at deep dive Dubai
Why can’t you your primary? My alternate is around my neck, I’m Using my long hose to inflate it. Also, you’re supposed to be able to pull it back down after inflating it.
With standard scuba gear, it’s preferable to use your alternate because it’s easily available, different for you. As for pulling it back down, in what situation would you do this?
Great video! going to be there in a few days.
You are going to have an amazing time!
لما نزلتي لهذا المستوى ، هل حسيتي بالضغط عند اخراج الهواء ( زفير ) ؟
You can feel it slightly. The reality is your air consumption increases at depth (compared to the surface) due to the increased pressure and compression of the air in the cylinder. For example, at 27m it is 3.7ata which means on average you consume 3.7x more air in comparison to the surface.
@@BlueHorizonDiving شكرا لمعلوماتك 👏🏼 اتمنى لك النجاح و الصحة و العافيه
Best way to get you 2nd stage or your fingers intangle in it. Thanks for the tip but no thanks. I'll keep inflating it by mouth and looking over my head before launching it....
This wouldn’t work very well with this marker as there was no oral inflate option on it. If setup correctly, you will never get your 2nd stage tangled. On our normal dSMB we use the oral inflate option.
Where do u dive? It looks nice
This is the ex-HMAS Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast of Australia- beautiful location!
@ Nice!
Good video
Thank you!
The problem here is using a jacket style bcd and a weight belt. If you are renting... In the earlier days i was using rental gear and i could let my heels touch my but whilst my arms are the most straight out position possible. I would still get into a negative trim, even with the weight belt around my ribs. Move slighty forward, then its easier to stay in a neutral trim. Also try to slow down more and more to get used to the feeling Best thing would be to change to a backplate though.
Lots of different ways to adjust bouyancy, some things work differently for different people. I’m glad you found what worked for you, these are just some tips for people who notice they have this issue. I have a back inflation BCD and love it but can still keep trim in rental jacket BCDs and weight belts - practice makes perfect!
Please use reef safe products for that. We dont need more soap killing the already damaged marine life. Thx
Please read the caption and will find out it was Stream2Sea which is reef safe
This is reef safe Stream 2 Sea soap!
@@BlueHorizonDiving great
Yes and no. Its not only the silicone debinder residue. Its part of it, but not the main reason. The main reason is moisture condensing. The trick is to keep something at the surface of the glass. So overpriced antifog, baby shampoo, dishwasher soap will do a pretty good job. Also spit, but you kinda have to let it dry to make it work best. But this is all useless if you wash the protective layer off with your fingers roght before the dive. Slighty rinse it, but dont run your fingers again over the layer right b4 ur dive. Bonus points if you use reef safe products.
Yep, all true! Those are great ways to prepare a mask before a dive, however they will continue to fog if that initial layer is not removed and that is what this video is about! I use reef safe stream 2 sea defog before a dive and that does the trick for an already prepped mask
Do not clip the spool to your BCD. Check that the area above you is clear before you release. Don't drop the spool. Have a plan to deal with entanglement.
Yep! I didn’t clip the spool or drop it in this video!
@BlueHorizonDiving Oh sorry if that came across as aimed at you - it was more just general advice for anyone watching. There's not so much time in these Shorts to go in to much depth.
Now imagine this but with an open cell😂
Now that is a challenge 😂
@BlueHorizonDiving even with shampoo to lube it up it still a pain to get on even more of a pain to get off 😂 but it keeps you so warm
I always feel sorry for the divers wearing cell suits fighting to get them on. Like you said even with shampoo and hose constantly running 😂
@BlueHorizonDiving but on the flip side my 5mm open cell keeps me warm while free diving in less than 70° water 🙈
I admire how they were going through this scuba diving pool. I would like to see a show with my favorite people from any of my favorite TV shows film through here.
Will Smith has done a show in this pool. What are your favourite shows?
Somone toled me to put a nilon bag over my leg and it actuely worked!
Another great option!
At least the struggle with getting in makes you warm 😂
So true 😊

You forgot fins and scuda tank
This was carry on, my fins were in checked luggage because they’re too long for the bag. I don’t travel overseas with a tank, I rent
Ok thanks
To be honest i never scuda dive before but if this happen to me and if im not that deep i will just go back to surface😂😂😂
Don’t worry as once you do your course, you will learn how to clear your mask underwater easily without having to go to the surface.
Nice 😎
It is nice for sure 👍
Nice video. keep up.
Thank you legend
Awesome.
Thank you 🙏
What an annoying voice
Great!😃
Thank you legend 😊
I can't wait!!!
You will have an amazing time
Saw a baby PJ the other day. Very tiny and very cute! When are you coming to Melbourne?
How cool and was that in Melbourne too? We have been working on a digital Australian fish ID book. Melbourne is on the list to spend a few days down there to shoot local marine life and dive the Ex HMAS Adelaide.
@@BlueHorizonDiving Yes. Lot's of PJs in Melbourne. You'll be diving the ex-HMAS Canberra if you come down here. We've also got the entire British fleet of WW1 J-class subs, one of which is often done as a double dive with the Canberra.
This is the only thing I'm kinda scared of in scuba. I remember going underwater in a pool 6 feet deep and getting bad ear pain when i was young. I didnt used to do any ear pressure balancing back then and that fear of ear paun just stuck long enough that I havent gone underwater ever since. I'm taking a scuba session for the first time in 2 months. Hopefully it goes well.
That is awesome you are taking your course. Your instructor will teach you how to equalise properly and you will do amazingly. The fear will go so quickly.
@@BlueHorizonDiving Thank you! I'm insanely excited for this 😭😭
The thumbnail is criminal
😂
Where is Port Jackson?
The port Jackson comes at 3:55 in the video. It is a type of shark. 🦈
Oh my gosh I absolutely love the tweety birds!!!!
Oh they keep you up all night on Lady Elliot 😂
Awesome.
Thank you legend
Another cool video thanks guys!
Thank you. It wasn’t the best quality with the iPhone compared to our normal GoPros.
@ nice to see the difference,I’ll stay with the GoPro 😀
Omg it’s such a satisfying feeling when your ears hurt so bad and everything just goes away 🤩
Hopefully you not having then hurt really bad as you never want to get to that stage. If you feel a squeeze then you need to ascend a bit and retry equalising.
Absolutely amazing to see so many Grey Nurse Sharks. They were nearly pushed to the brink of extinction in the 70s & 80s. I used to fish just off Wolf Rock 30 years ago & have seen some monsters of the deep out there. In those days it was common to see False Killer Whales & once i was in a friends 17ft boat out there & a giant hammerhead just longer than the boat came & scratched its self along the side spun around in its own body length & angled its giant head down & disappeared in seconds. Not far away at Fraser my buddy & i had a White Pointer approximately 21 foot come right beneath us at the surface while we sat on Indian Head cliffs. Its sharky heaven between those two points.
Brilliant. Thank you.
Your welcome
I'm a little surprised the bottle didn't burst on the way up.
Yeah we knew it would burst on the way up as it is a rigid flexible container. But you never know.
