That's the one thing I didn't get a super close shot to show what I did. But for this project, if you already have a pry bar, really you can just slip that in there, get a mallet and hammer those things up. They are nailed down so just make sure you pull up all the nails

Lol use a scraper for the staples life saver and takes 2 min to get them all
I wasted more time trying to find easy ways to remove carpet than if I would have just removed the carpet
