    This line of watches from Casio is one of the best value props in the affordable watch world, IMO. For $50 it’s hard to go wrong. It’s almost hard to believe it’s priced so low!

      It is a great watch for the price. The price does seem to fluctuate though here in the UK, up to over £60 on Amazon at the moment. Thanks for watching!

    I'm using a " Hooked on Straps " brand Nato strap, that replaces the resin strap.. with my MDV106A. It gives I a nice feel on the wrist, and these straps have a hooking clasp, and are a bit elastic as well. Easy on and off.

    I have the blue one, which I bought on sale for just over $40 about 8 months ago. I put it on a bracelet and there are also sapphire crystals you can install, so I got one with AR coating. I probably spent as much on the extras as the watch, but that took it from being a great watch to a fantastic one.

    I have the black one with "gold". I still enjoy it after 6 month nearly every morning when I put it on my wrist. It is a great watch for every day and for swimming which by the way cleanses the strap and makes it more black and not as dull as it becomes after time. I paid 71 € on ebay inclusive shipping costs and taxes. It was imported from Las Vegas. It is really worth the money.
    I have two little complaints: The day windows is very small and sometimes you have to guess the date depending on the light. And the strap, although it is durable and okay to wear, does look a bit cheap.
    But I still would recommend this watch to everybody who wants a timeless good looking beater dive watch.

    • @BudgetWatchReviews
      @BudgetWatchReviews  Рік тому +1

      I nearly went for the Black and Gold version as I think it looks different to most other Black and Gold watches. Glad you are in enjoying yours still. I definitely need to swap the strap out. Thanks for watching!

    Love my Duro, it's a daily and over 2yrs old. 7" wrist, the watch wears smaller than you would think and is a strap monster.
    I'm very hard on watches, have NO scratches on the crystal, and it's in very good shape. The lume is not great, have no issues with the crown, and the second hand hitting the markers is hit or miss(no pun intended). It appears to get better with time, btw. Mine was good out of the box.
    I've spent more on straps then on the watch and Love it... Spends most of its time on a StrapCode 22mm Super-J Louis JUB Watch Band Straight End, 316L Stainless Steel Solid V-Clasp Button Double Lock.

      I Googled the strap, you don't often see DURO's in metal bracelets. I bet that takes it up a notch. I would recommend this watch to anyone. Thanks for watching!

    Great video, I have the same watch as reviewed and agree with everything you said. Bought mine 18 months ago and still love it, I think it looks so premium for the price. I put it on an engineer style bracelet I commandeered from another watch and it looks amazing and I think the dimensions are just perfect for my 7.25" wrist.

    This is the most worth it watch. No matter the criteria, when someone asks about getting a watch I 100 percent of the time suggest a duro. It is built in a way you cannot break it, and even if you do, then you spend another 50 bucks and get another one. The out the box band is bad, not real bad, but if you know better its bad. The lume, not so hot. But, 200 m, a screrw down crown, rock solid movement, this is a cant miss watch. Unless there is some subjective thing going on, this is the watch. 100%. I bought one, and did the upgrades some aussie on some other (not as good) channel suggested. I cannot tell the different in sapphire or whatever, but I get that it is a lot more scratch resistant. This is a 100% purchase watch. If it was not for my Steeldive 1970, I would probably just wear the Duro all the time.

    • @BudgetWatchReviews
      @BudgetWatchReviews  Рік тому

      Hey Dino, I totally agree! I have swapped the band on mine for a NATO currently. They are bit hard to get hold of in the UK, the prices vary from day to day. Would definitely recommend to anyone. I have a SD1970 on the way too. I also nearly bought an Ironman the other day after we spoke. There are so many it has kind of confused me. Best one to get? You are our resident Ironman expert!

    My Duro in rotation is the blue dial with brown suede single pass, great on looks, and character. As the strap ages, it will only look better with time. Plan to get an orange, or olive tropic strap for summer.

  • @ge48421
    @ge48421 Рік тому +1

    I'd replace the strap with a (single pass) Perlon strap, the adjustability is great, and it's nylon so it can withstand water. An FKM rubber strap would be idea for a dive watch, but a good one may cost more than the watch, I'd go for silicone in stead.

    Nice review with great close up video! I just bought a second one, since I like it so much.
    It’s unbelievably accurate and the second hand hits the indexes perfectly!
    I immediately got a new black canvas Barton strap, that wears really comfortable and doesn’t sweat.
    I think it would also look good on a resin bracelet, like some G-Shocks used to have.
    Do you know where can I get this kind of bracelet?
