Guy definitely added a chapter in Rickenbacker’s history too... and judging by his dance moves, a chapter in the history of human encounters with extra terrestrial life as well.
He's unbelievable...one of the most unique guitarists you'll ever hear/see. The > into SFF with the screaming guitar and Guy bouncin, into a knee drop>swerve...unforgettable.
This video boosted my morale. I was a fan of Fugazi in the early 90's and I've never seen this footage before. This video brought back memories of great times.
Matthew Friedly i saw them play the next night in Seattle, it was early 1999. (Not 98) I remember Sleater Kinney and the Ex opened . But Sleater Kinney was a secret early show , so I missed them. Thanks to you tube there is footage of that whole Seattle gig .
Hell yeah Fugazi!!! Damn Ian you guys rock I'm 51 lost 2 CDS from the past reordered them and now I'm way cool. Hell Yeah!!! SAW yaw in the park in DC in the late 90s
I was one of the lucky ones who met Henry Rollins....I had good friends in Bethesda & Takoma Park, MD who played in bands at that time....I met Henry at a show backstage when he was with Black Flag...will never forget it!!!
I'd give almost anything to know what Ian whispered in the ear of that guy after he grabbed his arm in a colloquial "I'm not finished with you yet, don't just crowd surf off in to the wild blue yonder."
I would've said Latest Disgrace was closer to Parallel Universe. So much so that the Chili Peppers occasionally play a little of Latest Disgrace before Parallel Universe.
Joe and Brendan don’t get enough credit as a tight rhythm section!
Joe and Brandon are the real musicians. Guy and Ian are more like bums lol
I wonder how much time Ian spent across all the Fugazi shows adjusting his mic stand.
The Gibson SG has done some amazing things in the history of rock. Ian wrote a chapter himself....
That guitar has done some serious work.
He's an AC/DC fan and that probably influemced his decision. He got the original red SG off Don Zientera for a couple hundred bucks in the mid 80s
It's often overshadowed by the Les Paul, but is every bit the workhorse.
Guy definitely added a chapter in Rickenbacker’s history too... and judging by his dance moves, a chapter in the history of human encounters with extra terrestrial life as well.
Amen.
Best store-bought guitar I ever had.
Guy is so awesome
Guy... I never once thought he was a good guitarist.. he blew my mind right then... I am humbled. Fucking amazing.
He's unbelievable...one of the most unique guitarists you'll ever hear/see. The > into SFF with the screaming guitar and Guy bouncin, into a knee drop>swerve...unforgettable.
The segway was just incredible. Band didn't play with a set list. So amazing.
THIS VIDEO EXISTING has given me the enlightenment needed as a new drummer trying to learn this song. I love love love this drumming.
They are SO on point at the end of Break. It's filthy!
Guy is the guy!
He's not your guy, buddy
Pronounced "gee". It's French, guy.
Damn, Guy's dip at 3:09... fuckin' sick.
Guy got so much better at guitar during that period and onwards
brings back great memories, wish i could go back in time and take in another show.
Me, too.
Me too!
This video boosted my morale. I was a fan of Fugazi in the early 90's and I've never seen this footage before. This video brought back memories of great times.
I was up in the little hole in the wall on the side left of camera for the whole show. Fantastic show!

THIS is the kind of awesome thing that we can't see on mtv.

Why are you talking about Henry Rollins??? Who cares!!!! This is Fugazi!!!
I'd give almost anything to know what Ian whispered in the ear of that guy after he grabbed his arm in a colloquial "I'm not finished with you yet, don't just crowd surf off in to the wild blue yonder."
The guy's home address
Whispering in the bands ear I named my laptop FUGAZI
So here's where the parallel universe intro came from
I would've said Latest Disgrace was closer to Parallel Universe. So much so that the Chili Peppers occasionally play a little of Latest Disgrace before Parallel Universe.
IAmTheBestMang funnily enough that's what started me off into properly getting into fugazi
