Guy is awesome. Everyone loves Ian, which don't get me wrong, he's the main driving force behind Fugazi, but I like Guy's songs better and his guitar playing interweaves between Ian's so well
I greatly prefer Guy's vocals (to the point where I didn't like Fugazi until I heard a Guy-vocal song, though I learned to love Ian fronted songs too), but I can understand people feeling the opposite way. They're very different, which I think is a great thing - I only wish they shared vocals and songs more!
Come on, I'm not telling you how to listen music or anything. But you can't define it. The greatness of THIS BAND the two lead singers. In addition to everything else awesome about them. Once I want to say I'm a Guy guy...Mr Minor Threat nails it OUTTA thr ballpark again. GO NATS! ( long gone Springfield boy in Arizona for decades. .GO NATS!)
I think that the whole band are a bunch of meanies.... I saw them when I was 23 years old Auckland new Zealand and THEY NEVER CAME BACK I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 28YEARS FOR THEM TO RETURN LIKE A DOG WAITING FOR IT'S MASTER'S RETURN OR A CHRISTIAN WAITING FOR THE RETURN OF THE HAIRY SKY FAIRY....
Guy has such a distinctive voice. Provides an unintentional dueling contrast to Ian's voice. I love the songs where they alternate lyrics. Amazing & powerful.
I found fugazi after minor threat, and initially I really only loved the Ian vocal tunes but, I’m glad I stuck it out, cause Guy grew on me a lot and now I can’t imagine thinking like I did haha
3:22 The song ends but Ian continues, Joe looks at Brendan and sets the tempo and out of nowhere Guy jumps in... then without looking back Ian releases the sonic wave with everyone together! improvisation like jazz!
omfg lord is this a sexy live recording. i get shivers. i'd love to see fugazi play some shows again, i saw them touring for the argument. guy is crushworthy incarnate
Fantastic to the power of amazing guitar work from Ian and Guy. In the 1990s they were regular runners up or honorable mention in Guitar Player magazine polls of fans and editors.
Guy is so disproportionate. His neck is huge. His arms are long. He's extremely skinny. His eyebrow is larger than him. But he still kicks ass. It's incredible.
if i was given the chance to see any band live ever...this is it! i keep checking their website hoping they might come back...just glad to see there is alot more vids like this going up. every fan has the responsibilty to spread fugazi's music on to someone that has no idea who they are...to many people only listen to the music played on radio...lets break that trend!
Saw them last time they all played in Chicago. That’s good and great memories right there. Can’t wait to see The Messthetics this weekend in Madison. I respect them more than any other rock band that’s existed in my lifetime. I can’t call it sacrificing anything because they were the type of band that lived by their rules. And never swayed. Positive rules. #thisisnotafugazicomment
BBProductions4You, do you have the rest of this show? It's currently not part of the Fugazi live series archive, and ... well, I wanted to know what Guy was going to say, so I looked for it and this show wasn't on there, so I emailed Dischord about maybe adding the audio from at least this video and I got a response from Ian, saying he'd seen it and loved the footage, and asked me to let him know if I know who has the whole show ... so, do you have it?
Ian isn't shouting "like me, like me." He's actually shouting "Lockheed, Lockheed" to which Guy responds "Martin-Marietta." Lockheed-Martin is one of the primary defense contractors for the USA, particularly in aviation. Lockheed merged with Martin-Marietta to form Lockheed-Martin in 1995, around the time this song was written.
the world needs Fugazi
Now more than ever.
Guy is by far one of the best front men in rock history, in my books.

Very intentional

i cant decide whether i like the drums, guitars or bass in this song more, but i think its how they all come together that does it for me
bass
Two of there best back-to-back with not a second to let the crowd breathe in between...Hipsters would need a PBR bar break after this ass kicking
Fantastic to the power of amazing guitar work from Ian and Guy. In the 1990s they were regular runners up or honorable mention in Guitar Player magazine polls of fans and editors.

I saw them 5 times that year. Ahh memories...
Guy is so disproportionate. His neck is huge. His arms are long. He's extremely skinny. His eyebrow is larger than him. But he still kicks ass. It's incredible.

@@miguelvalentine9776 They were about to play "Place Position" but Guy introduced it as another title ("Equal ???") /XUPLbx6VNx4?t=10m42s

Damn this show was on the day I was born. Super weird to think about.
in the same boat as you my friend...check out how they led into "do you like me"...magic.

Ian really makes me want to have an SG, and Guy really makes me want to have a Ric.
They're really cooking on "Do you like me" 🔥

@Alphabex8 Definitely look 'em up. It's one of their more well written songs, in my opinion.
Fucking sensational
my friends wonder why i have a man crush on guy. JUST LOOK AT HIM
They were about to play "Place Position" but Guy introduced it as another title ("Equal ???") /XUPLbx6VNx4?t=10m42s
so much talent, man. I hope they really play a reunion tour soon, they're getting old...
+neurathsboat If they reunite, it won't be a reunion tour, it'd be a full-blown return. They'll play to create new music, not for nostalgia.
The thing is though, they never actually broke up
Yep. Indefinite hiatus.
It doesn't matter if it sucks on guitar ....we're talking about fugazi man jajajajajajajajaja
wat
@Alphabex8 Place Position. It's a no brainer if you read the lyrics.
lungfish played this show as well i believe?
Yep, with two Butoh dancers flanking them. It was...weirdly beautiful

Does the date mean 12 May or December 5?

the guy in the back at 7:40 looks so bored lmao.
calm down Ian, yes I like you.
Ian isn't shouting "like me, like me." He's actually shouting "Lockheed, Lockheed" to which Guy responds "Martin-Marietta."
