It doesn’t matter how old you are, it’s always great to be able to visit and stay with your parents. Looks like a fun shopping day with your mom! I will have to check out the bread store the next time I’m in Nashville
When my parents were living, I was the only 1 of 3 that lived far away, so when I visited, I stayed in their home. I have memories of things they always did in the evenings that my siblings don’t have, TV watching, dog toy pickup routine, bedtime snack making, etc. treasured times.
I have been a bit of a slump with knitting and deliberately would stay away from viewing your channel (sorry) because I know once I did…there it is..MOTIVATION!. I am so excited to begin again that making my make list with socks and that gorgeous find i saw in the video the light blue is so beautiful. Happy to see you are home visiting with your Mom. You are truly a motivaator with excitment you bring out right through our devices. Definitely now going to catch up on your previous videos. Stay well and loving your creativity.
Your mom is the cutest!! I see where you get your love of the Container Store and little special food treats from! I was an only child, so being alone with my parents was so normal! Funny how you had the opposite.
I have always taken vacations to hang out with my parents. I still like to go home and hang out at home and I'm nearly 50 and I kids and a husband. Enjoy them while you can.
You're making me soooo hungry that I can't even focus on my knitting!! If it wasn't pouring outside I'd drive up to CAVA!! Enjoyed "meeting" your Mom!!
I just LOVE watching your Nash vlogs, Natalie! I see so many familiar places that we also go when I visit my daughter and son in law. They live out in White Bluff. Oh, and Taziki's and Home Goods is definitely a fave stop. Embrace and absorb all of those wonderful, warm and cozy moments with Mom and Dad. I dont comment much but get so much inspo from your knitting. Im currently knitting some smaller projects in between casting on another sweater, probably the Illuminate or another Zweig. Love them both!❣
Toaster: mom I'm so glad you're home... Wait, why do you smell like another dog? I love Chuy's. Their chicka chicka boom boom chicken enchiladas are great. Love your mom and dad.
Hello from St.Louis Missouri! I loved shopping with my mom but I lost her thirty nine years ago, but I can still remember going with her. We had the best time together.
I go back to north California for 2 weeks every year from Texas to visit my mom. We do the same, watch tv, go shopping, cook, and go out for food. As 1 of 4 also it’s so weird to have my mom for 2 weeks and be primary kiddo
Thankyou. I loved seeing your travel vlog and seeing other places of the world. I get unwell when I travel so seeing different places around the world is fascinating. I hope you get to sort out your jumper that you have nearly finished knitting. It looks lovely. It will be exciting to see how your new project the quartarnia ?? turns out too.
This is such a cute video! I'm glad you got to spend some time with your family. It must be hard living so far away from them. I used to feel the same way every time I got to go back to my grandparent's house and stay with them & my aunt.. especially over the summer break & holidays! I love seeing all your knits. So many people make things but then they don't use them or wear them?! I do and strangers often come up to me to ask about my hat, socks, sweater or whatever I'm wearing & it's always a great conversation :) Cinnamon is cute lol but Toaster might be a bit jealous when you get home! I'm almost finished with the increases on my Musselburgh hat and it's turning out beautifully! Your mom would love the yarn I picked out, it's called Grape Rustic! It's a darker heathered purple. Really beautiful yarn but sadly, discontinued. I love it so much that I bought out half the stock they had left so I can make a few more hats like mine to give as gifts. :) Thank you again for inspiring me to pick up knitting again! I'm enjoying the relaxing journey of making this hat very much.
Loved watching your visit with your parents. I loved your Mom’s haircut. Looks great on her. I am jealous of your yarn shop Bliss yarns. I do not have any LYS where I live. Lucky you! Great podcast! Thanks for taking us along! ❣️🧶
I am in Morristown, Tn about 40 miles from Dollywood. Are you heading this way? There is also Stewart Farms Alpaca Ranch in Nearby New Market, Tn. Also 2 Roots Alpaca Ranch and fiber Mill just outside of Greeneville, Tn and 17 minutes from where i live! I almost firgot, Loops and Threads in Knoxville. They carry some of my stitch markers. Cant firget them! Lots of good stuff here! Hope your visit is wonderful! Happy wedding!
Your mom is so adorable! I lost mine many years ago but I love watching other adult daughters with theirs. It’s sad-happy if that makes sense. Plus NASHVILLE! Such a fun place to visit. Next time we go I will make sure to hit up Bliss!
What a fun episode! Couldn't wait to watch when I came home from working at the yarn shop today. It's always fun to go home and visit the folks. My whole family is in Oklahoma. So it's always a 3 day road trip for me when I drive home to see them.
Natalie, I loved this vlog sooo much! Thank you for taking us along on your trip to see your parents. Your mom is absolutely lovely 😊 and it looked like you had the nicest time. My daughter moved to Nashville back in September - I can’t wait to tell her about Great Harvest Bread Co.!
Hi Natalie--this was awesome!! Wanted to say something about the makeup you mentioned before. If I lived in NYC I would make my way to the Jones Road store in Greenwich Village and have them apply Bobbi Brown's new makeup on me. I've been using it recently and love it!!
What a delightful vlog! Great Harvest was a regular stop for me and my daughter as well! Their cinnamon chip bread makes the best french toast :-) And such a funny observation about being alone with your parents. I've got 3 sisters, and I was never alone with my mom unless I stayed home sick from school.
I always have a hard time picking which project to bring on a trip. I have to travel for work tomorrow and it’s like…should I bring the thick socks? Thin socks? Scrappy project? Shawl for my mom? Uh! I’m driving so maybe I’ll just bring them all! Haha
We have so much in common! I love the Brentwood/Nashville area, I actually got married there in 2020. I’m also a 1 of 4 kids, and cheese grits are the best grits!
The fact that their dog is named cinnamon and your dogs name toast is just 🤌🏽

OH!!! So smart!! I never thought to keep the arms inside the body to knit the rest up!!! Hahaha! I love it!! Thanks!
I’ve never done it until now and it make a WORLD of difference!
@@KnittyNatty I bet! I've hated the way the arms get all over the place when I make a sweater!

Your mum is so sweet :)
I love to go home to my moms. And I’m in my 40’s. She’s retired now and we don’t have to go anywhere or do anything. So nice and chill.
Hi Natalie and Brenda thanks for sharing your holiday home! Glad you got lots of knitting time Kaye x
That was great

Love the Keep on sock yarn! Love your Mom’s new hair cut❤️
Your mom's accent is so cute! It brings back sweet memories of my childhood. Where is that mural? In their part of Nashville?
I always have a hard time picking which project to bring on a trip. I have to travel for work tomorrow and it’s like…should I bring the thick socks? Thin socks? Scrappy project? Shawl for my mom? Uh! I’m driving so maybe I’ll just bring them all! Haha
I just ordered my lantern needle set! They are so gorgeous! 🥰
Hi. Im enjoying your blogs and podcasts. I wanted to know do you have any issues taking knitting needles on planes? Love toaster too! ❤️
Where did you get your water bottle that you filled up at the airport? I like the cap lid.
We have so much in common! I love the Brentwood/Nashville area, I actually got married there in 2020. I’m also a 1 of 4 kids, and cheese grits are the best grits!
Aww so much in common!
mascara looks amazing!! thinking it might be something related to your make-up goal (?)
Nooooo...dont risk it. Oh good. You are waiting!
#question Did you have any problems with your needles on plane?
I thought you had cut your hair in that first clip and thought “Go Natalie, go! So cute!”
Then I realized my brain was just confused! 😅
Cinnamon said "Excuse me but where is Toaster?"
Would your mum consider adopting a fully grown, 31 year old? 😅 She’s the sweetest! ❤
