The description is EA's review from earlier, just so you know. I do know that these are rapid fire releases as each conference ends, so it's no big deal, but I just figured you'd want to know
Okay, so, there's like... a pot of $50k for final contributors. Wich is a fraction of what's usually paid to a SINGULAR art contractor for something like this. Full disclosure: What HitRECord does is what's known in the art world as Spec Works, basically works that is only getting paid if the contractors decides they want too. This is put simply, a scam, one that devaluates everyone's time and is legit harmfull for artist and workers alike.
Black INK.I.M Yeah, I can see that being a problem. Especially for the full shows JGL has produced. Shady. Though I at least won't dock Ubisoft Montipilliar for jumping at the chance. Few developers I can. Think of would bother to look for ways to pay fans at all. And for real, Kickstarter backers have to pay to get their work into a game at all. So while I don't know if we should support HitRecord, this is still pretty great.
@PlotlinePlus Except it's not "Paying fans", paying fans would be like, scouting Splatoon's miiverse or looking for fan arts of your game and asking to officially feature it against money. This is not that, this is asking upfront for people to create assets for an unreleased game. Not to mention, HitRECord has an history with using obvious bots to trick people into thinking they are more reliable than they actually are.
Btw For Honor now is a MUCH MUCH better game than it was at launch and they basically fixed all of the problems regarding connections and there's much more people playing it now , also the new siege mode is entirely free. SO yeah its really worth checking out , I have 1000 hours on it and with the new stuff ahead , its pretty much has a great future ahead
Ezio Auditore you'll get the standard edition for free. Meaning you will get the basic 3 characters und acceso to all gamemodes. All other characters need to be unlocked for an increased price compared to the normal edition
I don't want them to make a sequel yet. Maybe in a couple more years or on the next console generation. Polish this game up, figure out what went wrong with the launch, work on that for the next game, *then* release a sequel. The regular game as is is amazing. I love Ubisoft, but their problem has been and probably always will be "OMG I got this cool idea for a game!" "What? That's awesome, let's get that out quick, players will love it!" Then the game fails at launch because they released an overly buggy mess that they didn't bother to look through before launch, and the they fix all the issues and the game is suddenly amazing a year or two afterwards. For Honor, Rainbow Six: Siege *AND* The Division 1 all had this happen.
The reason they didn't do any huge news about Siege at E3 is because they have such a HUGE ESPORTS presence. They officially announced the new OPs and Para Bellum at their Pro League Finals in Atlantic City a weeks ago. They'll announce new stuff at the big Pro League events. I think they wanted to showcase their other games that don't have an ESPORTS presence. Their biggest thing was For Honor!
You can get the game plus the arwing for $75. I think this is a pretty good price, $60 for the game and $15 for the ship, two figures and four guns sounds pretty reasonable.
I left for a bit of the conference but when I got back the star fox thing started. I thought that Ubisoft was developing a brand new star fox game because I didn’t see the star link part. So that was a let down when I saw what really was going on.
Exposure and a feeling that the fact your music made it into an ubisoft game is kinda cool doesn't pay the bills, Jared. That kind of deal is one of the oldest scams in the book.
The idea is community if they dont get people to submit stuff then they’ll just pay for it. The real intent tho is to get more people invested in the game. If you submit something to this game, even if you don’t make it, you already are involved into the game. Kinda how so many people mod games, it creates a closer link with creators and community. And a closer relationship to fans + community means more money.
Now I have only seen Assassins Creed origins and the problem didn't start there. When you stop being able to assassinate anyone and all high profile targets turn into boss fights it stops being an Assassins game. Origins moved further away from that path with leveled enemies and elites, that forced you not only to level, but also grind, or quickly end up chipping away at everyone. Now I'm not saying it doesn't look like a cool game on it's own, but we are way past the point where they should have dropped AC and started a new IP.
The Ezio trilogy, specifically AC2, are still my favorite games of all time, by far. It breaks my heart what they've done to it. Hell, at least 3 TRIED to be an AC game! Black Flag and Origins seem to me like different franchises that cut off 1, 2, B and R's faces and are wearing them like a poorly fitting mask.
I highly disagree, i never really needed to grind. doing side quests in origins was fun and felt like they actually mattered. as long as you did a bit of hunting on your way between missions or bought the crafting materials you were always strong enough to assassinate anyone, i think an assassination failed only one time. origins still felt like an AC game to me, the changes they made felt necessary to me and makes the game a hell of a lot more fun than past games.
Music making and art in general is skilled labor if you look at it the non art way. So they should at least compensate people who put stuff into the game a little.
Heck, even stuff that doesn't end up getting in is skill required and time spent. That's why the whole thing is scammy - they can choose only the best bits and pay almost nobody that sank time into their game's OST.
I dont think it was specifically said whoever wins doesnt get some sort of compensation. They could compensate the winner in some way. I'll tell you now, though; just having my name in the credits would be enough for me.
I plan on submitting some of my art and music just because i think itd be pretty cool to see my shit in a game im looking foward to. As long as im just sharing the rights to my stuff and not giving it away i think its neat
I just don’t see what people did last year and this year. I found this year especially to be pretty meh and the lack of Splinter Cell was a huge letdown for me
Like Projared says: judge them based on what's there, not on what isn't. If they don't announce a game that you want them to, that's not their fault. You simply had expectations that were misplaced.
Just as a side note, the developers of BG&E 2 are paying people who's work ends up in the final product. They quickly released a video on the subject and in an interview they admitted they were "kicking themselves" over not mentioning it.
I think you mean Nintendo is the big hitter. Lol. Anyway, in all seriousness, I don't really like Sony's stuff all that much even though they are a very ambitious company. I can respect em for that.
Lore Theorist Nintendo is the king of fun exclusives games, and overall video games in general. I don’t think any company has as good as a game track record as them. I don’t play on their consoles anymore but I think they’re bigger than anyone else
Lore Theorist Nintendo has A great Console Great Announced Games And More to come! Nintendo is getting Good third party support along With Smash, Pokemon And More! I think its safe to say Nintendo Is a Bigger hitter
Pretty sure the no female Assassins thing was exclusive to Unity (and it also turned out to be a lie because they didn't want to spoil that all four players were fractured pieces of Arno's consciousness). Especially since both AC: Syndicate and AC: Origins had female playable characters.
I am just so SO excited for the next Faction in For Honor. It was one of my favorite games last year. Also no need to worry Jared, everything you saw in the trailer ARE things you as a player can do.
Needless to say that for everyone, who plays even a little bit of games ,in Greece , this year's AC is huge. AC is in general quite popular in Greece so you can imagine how popular Odyssey is gonna be.
Ubisoft: They showed a lot of games that I wasn't super interested in. BUT, they showed a LOT of games. And those games have their audiences. Felt like a pretty solid show.
Holy shit Jared. I respect you so much for taking the time to make all these videos. Thank you so much. Also what is the animal crossing song you played
It was confirmed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt after the conference that they forgot to mention that the artists who contribute art or music to Beyond Good and Evil 2 WILL be paid.
For Honor's new faction and mode are completely free, they do regular content updates like Siege. All heroes can also be bought with the in game currency you earn by playing the game and completing daily orders. The main issue with the game is that the balance still isn't perfect but the devs have been reworking older heroes so they remain relevant by adding moves/combos.
BG&E Pey'j said they rescued Jade from the DOMZ. Look who was with Jade in the Trailer. We all assumed she was super young when she was rescued, clearly we all assumed wrong.
I’m pretty sure the reason ACOdyssey is an annualized release is cause i believe at some point they said they were going to start making trilogies and then take a year break
I feel there were a lot of audio issues with their presentation. Either people's mics not being turned on or turned off in time. Hearing "We nailed it!" was amusing though
Odyssey has been in development for over 3 years so it’s not like they only put a years work into it. I’m guessing origins and odyssey were developed side by side and they kind of grew off of each other
actually, jared, what they said was that they couldn't afford to make models for female characters in time before release, since they were starting with that new engine (it was in Unity) and they would have needed to make a new set of skeletons and animations for them when starting from scratch, they had absolutely no issues with female characters, such as all the female playable characters in the multiplayer of AC, as well as Aveline in Liberation and Evie in Syndicate
16:27 "Too hard to animate" was probably referring to the fact the women generally have longer hair, which is notoriously difficult to do in animation (often considered the hardest thing to do, along with loose clothing). Also, many of the animations would likely have to be altered, from climbing to just walking, since men and women generally have different gaits.
My prediction is that Ubisoft will throw everything into the cutscenes of Beyond Good and Evil and will earn the displeasure of the hotel chamber maid when it comes to gameplay. Because it's Ubisoft. They gave up a long time ago.
It wasn't dreadful, and they did show off and elaborate on a lot of titles they showed off previously in great detail, but they quite literally didn't have a single new title to reveal iirc. Outside of annualised sequels, the leaked Assassin's Creed and DLC.
Ubisoft was fine for me because outside of BG&E 2, they really didn't show anything I really cared about. It was nice that they got their developers up and talking again but there were not really any surprises really. Star Fox being in StarLink was cool though.
Ubisoft did a pretty good job The Good stuff: 1- The dance sequence was just what I expected from Ubisoft for their Just Dance reveal every year 2- Beyond Good and Evil 2 (JADE!?) 3- Joseph Gordan Levitt!? 4- Trials Rising looks glorious 5- Division 2 free DLC 6- DK dlc for Mario & Rabbids 7- Frodo!? 8- Transference looks interesting 9- Starlink getting Star wars content on Switch 10- Miyamoto!? 11- China Numbah 1! (cool For Honor content) 12- For Honor being free (albeit for a while) 13- The Crew 2 looks interesting 14- Assassin Creed Odyssey looks stunning The bad stuff: 1- Hit Studio weird business idea about collaborating with the people wasn't clear and concise 2- Rainbow Six Siege announced a documentary and I don't care (no offense) no proper announcement for that game either 3- StarLink is the new Skylander and I just don't like that... 4- Skull and Bones looks bad. It is pretty much a boat simulator 5- That is Assassin Creed right? What happened to stealth combat? This ain't Spartan creed... 6- No Splinter Cell... Still, I think it was a very enjoyable conference from Ubisoft. I give Ubisoft an 8/10
I liked it, nothing amazing but it was enough and it kept my attention. Also, for anyone that doesn't know, For honor is free for a while on uplay, so go catch that while you can.
"And you know, all that happened, For Honor's free now which is pretty cool-" **immediately stops everything to get For Honor** Alrighty, now that that's done, time to finish up this rad video.
Hey Jared! Just a heads up that the description info is for EA’s conference. Dunno if that’s just a glitch or if you accidentally did that. Thought I’d mention it
I never got the impression that Ubisoft was going to stop making Assassin's Creed an annual franchise, just that they took a year off between Syndicate and Origin to refresh and rethink the gameplay (which I think was a success as Origin was probably the best game in the series since Brotherhood). I think Odyssey will be a good game as well, I just hope they don't start making the same mistakes again and release the same game with an unwanted mechanic tacked on year after year again.
On Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: they said that they had a designated team working on it for 3 years. I don’t know exactly what that entails, whether it’s that it was their only focus or if this was a side thing they did when they have time. I’m very hopeful because I am a huge fan of Ancient Greece and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it either way, but it could be a steaming pile for all I know.
Put the cat on camera. Millions of views!
I love the kitty cohost!
The description is EA's review from earlier, just so you know. I do know that these are rapid fire releases as each conference ends, so it's no big deal, but I just figured you'd want to know
Bubbles I figured my phone was being screwy. Glad to see I'm not the only one that noticed.
It's been fixed...
sort of
don't you dare silencing the cat
It thinks that Jared is talking to him xD that's why he meow'd back
I checked the website Jo Gordon-Levitt made and apparently it DOES pay its users. I'm not sure how, but it did talk about payments in its FAQ!
Okay, so, there's like... a pot of $50k for final contributors.

I've been working with Hitrecord for years. I love it, and have gotten paid often. If you don't suck, your stuff gets picked, and you make moolah. XD
@PlotlinePlus Except it's not "Paying fans", paying fans would be like, scouting Splatoon's miiverse or looking for fan arts of your game and asking to officially feature it against money.

You download it right now YOU OWN IT FOREVER !!! Its 1000 % worth it , never been this invested into a game in a while .
Ezio Auditore you'll get the standard edition for free. Meaning you will get the basic 3 characters und acceso to all gamemodes. All other characters need to be unlocked for an increased price compared to the normal edition
Can’t we just get a sequel already. In a sequel I would love Aztecs or pirates
why a sequel ? its great as it is right now . A sequel would be useless
I don't want them to make a sequel yet. Maybe in a couple more years or on the next console generation. Polish this game up, figure out what went wrong with the launch, work on that for the next game, *then* release a sequel. The regular game as is is amazing. Looking around for a new channel, love it so far! You seem like a great guy!
More Ares
Jacob Proffitt For a moment I thought that his cat had the same name as my last name xD
It's Aries actually. So kinda close.
I love that you do this.
The reason they didn't do any huge news about Siege at E3 is because they have such a HUGE ESPORTS presence. Ubisoft was Strikingly good, especially to us UA-camrs.
I'm so dissapointed they didn't announce Rayman or Prince of Persia. I loved Black flag so Cross and Bones seems interesting though.
Random Internet Surfer We need Rayman 4!
Prince of Persia will never come back as long as AC is a thing
Panda'sBass Seeing as how Assassin's Creed doesn't really look like assassin's creed anymore maybe that day might be around the corner.
Random Internet Surfer Surfin' the Internet haha Cross and Bones! 😂
I thought it was pretty dang good. Plus freaking FOX MCLOUD. Im sold
Physical DLC.
King Daniel The Dandy Fox doesn't make it good by himself...
that for honor reveal was amazing
You can get the game plus the arwing for $75. I think this is a pretty good price, $60 for the game and $15 for the ship, two figures and four guns sounds pretty reasonable.

Aries has returned, move over, Jared...the real star is here.
Thought there was a cat in my apartment and got excited, then realized it was Aries. Damn, I want a cat.
matty So fucking buy one.
or save one from a shelter for free...
Adopt a cat from a shelter and that cat will think your god saving it. Just get a cast
Cat not Cast

Sony and Nintendo up next. The big hitters. Hype!
The Nintendo Direct Is Super exciting! And it's 45 minutes compared to last year's 25!
I think you mean Nintendo is the big hitter. Lol. Anyway, in all seriousness, I don't really like Sony's stuff all that much even though they are a very ambitious company. I can respect em for that.
ElmoBently dude they are both big hitters but sony is a little bit bigger

Assassin's Grease sounds like an interesting kind of game.
Shiro-Luna the slipperiest of assassins
Assassins in a fast food restaurant.
Assasin's Creed where you play as John Travolta in fifties America?
Ah, Assassin's Grease, a bit of soda-water and lemon will clean that up quick.
Pretty sure the no female Assassins thing was exclusive to Unity (and it also turned out to be a lie because they didn't want to spoil that all four players were fractured pieces of Arno's consciousness). Especially since both AC: Syndicate and AC: Origins had female playable characters.
Cant wait for Nintendo!!!!
Tomorrowwww
Its at 2 AM for me... gonna wait till the morning and try to avoid spoilers the second i open up youtube.
How did that work out for ya pal?
Steven Thompson still shaking 12 hours later
Can't catch you for Sony as it's 3am for me but I'll be there for Nintendo if you're streaming! Thanks for the hard work, Jared!
I am just so SO excited for the next Faction in For Honor. It was one of my favorite games last year.
Also no need to worry Jared, everything you saw in the trailer ARE things you as a player can do.
Really enjoying these E3 recap videos Jared! Top stuff!
Needless to say that for everyone, who plays even a little bit of games ,in Greece , this year's AC is huge. AC is in general quite popular in Greece so you can imagine how popular Odyssey is gonna be.
For the record, HitRecord always pays collaborators, they've paid out over 3 million dollars since inception.
I guess we didn't get any new Rayman news because no one announced a new console for them to port Legends to.
I was looking at the mario rabbids thing and I was just fantasising about how a modern Rayman game would look.
Ubisoft:
They showed a lot of games that I wasn't super interested in.
BUT, they showed a LOT of games. And those games have their audiences.
Felt like a pretty solid show.
Holy shit Jared. I respect you so much for taking the time to make all these videos. Thank you so much. Also what is the animal crossing song you played
The cat must speak!
Does any one else love how he says “awesome”?
Angus Withee it's awesome
Also, HitRecord does pay people if the creation makes it into the final product, so it's not just a free thing. If that makes any difference.
It was confirmed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt after the conference that they forgot to mention that the artists who contribute art or music to Beyond Good and Evil 2 WILL be paid.

Pey'j said they rescued Jade from the DOMZ.
Look who was with Jade in the Trailer.
We all assumed she was super young when she was rescued, clearly we all assumed wrong.
Ubisoft's Conference summed up: Basically not a single release date.
Sometimes I have the feeling, that Jared's videos are actually just very cleverly disguised cat content.
Happy 1 Million subscribers Jared!
Season passes are bad for multiplayer cause you split your playerbase, so that's probably why the Division is eschewing that.
I’m pretty sure the reason ACOdyssey is an annualized release is cause i believe at some point they said they were going to start making trilogies and then take a year break
For anyone thinking about getting for honor now I must say it now lives up to what was promised at launch
to be honest, the panda dancer was my highlight of Ubisoft's conference.
Right after the Ubi conference ended they switched to live Division 2 gameplay
I feel there were a lot of audio issues with their presentation. Either people's mics not being turned on or turned off in time. Hearing "We nailed it!" was amusing though
Assassins Grease. Starring John Travolta
@ProJared they showed gameplay after the ubisoft conference was over on their stream.
Odyssey has been in development for over 3 years so it’s not like they only put a years work into it. I’m guessing origins and odyssey were developed side by side and they kind of grew off of each other
Hit Record does pay people for their contributions, apparently. They just left that out of the conference.
You never apologize for your cat. Your cat apologizes for YOU.
Grading Ubisoft's press conference, guest staring Aries!
E3 review videos are like the only videos youve made in like 3 years.

actually, jared, what they said was that they couldn't afford to make models for female characters in time before release, since they were starting with that new engine (it was in Unity) and they would have needed to make a new set of skeletons and animations for them

Because it's Ubisoft. They gave up a long time ago.
I was not disappointed with Ubisofts e3. Odyssey hype and Starlink and Skull and Bones looking awesome.
cats like "humans talking to himself again... i worry about you human :("
I don't know why I've watched all the presentations so far. All that's interested me so far is Mario +Rabbids DLC and Star Fox in Starlink.
Everyone deserves to get paid for their work ProJared.Luckly, It looks like the company they're doing it with does in fact pay creators.
Thank you for lowering the music volume on this one. Great stuff. 👌🏽
"Assassin's Creed is a good franchise"
It wasn't dreadful, and they did show off and elaborate on a lot of titles they showed off previously in great detail, but they quite literally didn't have a single new title to reveal iirc. Outside of annualised sequels, the leaked Assassin's Creed and DLC.
They have been creating odyssey for three years. They said it in the conferense
So if Beyond Good and Evil gets a sequel now does that mean that Blizzard will announce that Star Craft Ghost will finally get rebooted?
Ubisoft was fine for me because outside of BG&E 2, they really didn't show anything I really cared about. It was nice that they got their developers up and talking again but there were not really any surprises really. Star Fox being in StarLink was cool though.
Jared, there is no need to ever apologize for your cat. More Aries is always welcome.
Maybe the Jade cutscene is a time jump to the future so it sets up another game
Assassin’s Greece? Sounds like the answer one would give if they were asked what the secret to their food was.
March in fire is completely free. That is including the characters as well.
And yes, you get to man the ballistas.
Ubisoft did a pretty good job
The Good stuff:
1- The dance sequence was just what I expected from Ubisoft for their Just Dance reveal every year
2- Beyond Good and Evil 2 (JADE!?)
3- Joseph Gordan Levitt!?
4- Trials Rising looks glorious
5- Division 2 free DLC
6- DK dlc for Mario & Rabbids
7- Frodo!?
8- Transference looks interesting
9- Starlink getting Star wars content on Switch
10- Miyamoto!?
11- China Numbah 1! (cool For Honor content)
12- For Honor being free (albeit for a while)
13- The Crew 2 looks interesting
14- Assassin Creed Odyssey looks stunning
The bad stuff:
1- Hit Studio weird business idea about collaborating with the people wasn't clear and concise
2- Rainbow Six Siege announced a documentary and I don't care (no offense) no proper announcement for that game either
3- StarLink is the new Skylander and I just don't like that...
4- Skull and Bones looks bad. It is pretty much a boat simulator
5- That is Assassin Creed right? What happened to stealth combat? This ain't Spartan creed...
6- No Splinter Cell...
Still, I think it was a very enjoyable conference from Ubisoft.
I give Ubisoft an 8/10
Starlink and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey are what I'm looking forward to the most from Ubisoft in the coming months.
You can’t compare this to the 2013 Xbox e3 press conference
Ares has been the best part of e3 this year so far. Thanks for the kitteh.
I liked it, nothing amazing but it was enough and it kept my attention.
Also, for anyone that doesn't know, For honor is free for a while on uplay, so go catch that while you can.
Cat cam when?????
For the record: For Honor is no longer free on Uplay.
Psychological Thriller is not the same thing as Psychological Horror......It was said to be a Thriller. Important difference.
Seeing that Fox trailer tho😍😍😍
Tunic?
Ubisoft was apparently SO good, Ares wants to take a crack at it too! X)
"And you know, all that happened, For Honor's free now which is pretty cool-"
**immediately stops everything to get For Honor**
Alrighty, now that that's done, time to finish up this rad video.
Splinter Cell was part of the Walmart Canada leak, so it's surprising how it wasn't part of any of the conferences. Makes me go hmm.
I can't wait for Jared to get to Sony's.
Holy.
Shti. That was the worst thing I've ever seen.
This E3 for me:
FRIENDSHIP ENDED WITH [BIOWARE]
NOW [UBISOFT] IS MY BEST FRIEND
I would like to point out that none of the musicians were actually playing during the beginning; 0/10 fake news
Hey Jared! Just a heads up that the description info is for EA’s conference. Dunno if that’s just a glitch or if you accidentally did that. Thought I’d mention it
Joseph Gordon Levitt confirmed on Twitter that the fans will get paid for their contributions.
My only complaint about Skull and Bones is that the demonstration was too long.
The large dudes in Assassin's Creed were in last year's game, too.
So that normal guy who likes trials is the prime minister of finland

Hey Jared, great coverage of E3, keep up the great work. Also congrats on 1 million subs. #projaredwinning
At this point in time, this is very ironic.
No offence.
a single meow..
My cat Ares is going INSANE RIGHT NOW!
Tomorrow's Nintendo's E3 Direct! Let's a watch!
The description is still EA’s.
