This was Steven's headlining tour. Recorded at The Royal Albert Hall. The two night performance sold out in minutes and went on for about 2 hours and 20 minutes. The show also had special guest vocalists, Ninet Tayeb (you should react to " Same Asylum as Before" and "People Who Eat Darkness" from the same show. As well as Mikael Akerfeld from Opeth! :D Love you guys! Keep on rocking.

@@stephenjones7520 Yes, I got lucky. I ghd to travel from Finland though and including the 4 day clubbing before the concert. It was not a cheap trip 😂
Yesterday I saw Haken in Helsinki, which was the first concert on this new tour they have with their Fauna album. It was also excellent and I really recommend it if tickets are still available for that tour.

Steven Wilson never has an opening act (or Porcupine Tree) I've seen SW 4 times and PT once and no opener. Always a 2 to 3 hour show as well. It's always a vibe guys and he puts on a hell of a show

    • @FeralPatrick
      @FeralPatrick 3 місяці тому +1

Porcupine Tree once co-toured with Opeth, so technically Opeth once opened for PT, though they traded being each others' opener on that tour.

Check out Porcupine Tree's Voyage 34 Phase I for a trippy LSD inspired song.
Even better is the version Steven Wilson did during lockdown in his home studio for his "Future Bites Session" videos that gives you a glimpse of him playing different instruments and mixing everything together.

I saw steven on his To the Bone tour in Montreal and he played 4 hours. they took a break halfway and his reason was "we're getting old". They do not fuck around, you will absolutely get your money's worth at a SW show

Really nice! Never heard this group before, the perfect way to end my day… you guys always make the day better, but I can’t believe how incredibly perfect this just was for me!
So my AC broke last night, we are having 118° days And I have a bedridden mother to worry about, it was an incredibly stressful and expensive day, but in the end, it all worked out and I couldn’t wait to check in with y’all and see what was up with this song, of course I saw the Patreon, but I still didn’t know what I was in for so I grabbed my hard tea and my bowl, hit the play button and discovered this gem with you guys…like I said perfect way to end a very stressful day✌💚😎✨🤘🏼

Soooo rapt you guys jumped in to this track. What a totally mindblowing experience it is - and the whole concent is! You could pick pretty much any other track from this DVD and be completely blown away. Try Song of I, or Vermilion Core or Refuge, etc the list goes on and on and thats not touching on any of the classic Porcupine Tree tracks he covers as well.
I dont believe I have ever seen anyone do a reaction to any of those 3 tracks - so would love to listen and watch you guys be the first!

I heard this song, and the album it’s part of, for the first time in 2016 during this tour here in NYC, but Steven got sick that day and left most of the singing duties to his guest singer Ninet Tayeb. It was nothing short of breathtaking. I was in tears by the end of it. One of my favorite concert experiences ever

Glad you liked it. The album is
Home Invasion: In Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. 2 and a half hours of his own songs mixed in with his earlier Porcupine Tree work. Beautiful!
I recomand Home Invasion/Regret #9 and Pariah from that concert.

Was at this show, one of the greatest I've ever seen and I've been to countless gigs (45 years attending and counting!) and SW never disappoints, sound and vision in perfect harmony, sublime setlist and Master Musicians onstage. Craig Blundell on drums and percussion, if you want to hear more cool "prog" check out Frost, one of his other bands then head straight to Mute Gods, band featuring the bassist here, the astonishing Nick Beggs, your minds will be completely blown. Nice work guys, excellent reaction, glad you got it?

Never heard this! This was epic! I absolutely loved it. You ought to react to something by Between The Buried And Me from Colors live! This definitely had an influence on that! More of a metal influence but absolutely prog and epic at the same time. Wild stuff!

I'd recommend Routine at the royal albert hall where they rehearse it before the show. And while on te subject of the royal albert hall, might i suggest the death of music performed there by devin townsend.

The 90s were a great time to be alive for music and movies. Every generation says that, but it's true. Grunge, alternative, gangsta rap/west coast hip hop, swing revival, ska punk popularity, Fight Club, Usual Suspects, Jurassic Park, Seven, The Game...

Hello guys, I thought I'd suggest another new band to give a listen, if interested. "Firefall - Just Remember I Love You" (by the channel: Firefall - Topic) --This song by Firefall is from their 1977 album called "Luna Sea" with backing vocals by Timothy B. Schmit and written by Rick Roberts. The song reached #11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and spent two weeks at #9 on "Cashbox" and topped the Easy Listening charts. It also hit the top of the charts in many other countries. If you enjoy listening to beautiful harmonies, then you should enjoy this one.

RE King Crimson getting blocked... it's not just you. Robert Fripp is renowned for blocking all reaction videos. Yet when he did release something with his wife Toyah recently, he and her did an interview with a reaction channel. I dunno!
