@@MrGamelover23 I got that impression from seeing them at Computex. They mentioned how they made some improvements based on what people were commenting on videos and other TechTubers have said similar things about them too.

@@shanksisnoteventhatstrongbruh I don't think it would really happening. Montech probably is able to get the price down so low because of economies of scale and already having tooling for the case. So adding another components that they will have to get tooling for while not know if it will sell super well is not a risk a company is willing to make especially with budget items usually being very profit per unit.

It seems they used PSU screws for the top fans, which is why they're bulging and preventing the magnetic filter from being installed flush to the case.
During the gpu apocalypse of 2021 I bought a Montech X3 Mesh for $70 because everything else was a lot more than that. Montech cut some corners here and there and the 120mm fans don't last a long time (but the 140mm's on the front do) and the metal is a bit on the thin side but with great air flow and all other things considered it was a great deal to get a system up and running. Montech makes the best cheap cases unless you find something like a Fractal case on sale which there have been lots of lately.
I’ve still seen nothing that compares to the RL06 when it was $80 in 2018. Incredible air flow, incredibly elegant looks, and incredible value. I got the red non-tempered glass version with three LED fans included and one nonLED fan, for I think $80 or 86$. This new case seems pretty cool and good for the price too, but it looks just decent like most other cases out there.
Great video! But I do wish they could have borrowed the front fan rails of the Lian Li Lancool 216 to make changing the front fans or adding a front radiator a lot easier. Just undo 6 screws & pull the fans out. 🤔 🤣
Thanks for the review. I bought the 903 MAX during black Friday sales, got it for 60 USD. Ive watched multiple reviews and there is just so much stuff other reviews left out like the fans being screwed in from inside the case. So glad i didn't buy the 903 base because i would have wanted 3 fans up front and it would be a nightmare to fix. I don't really care about rgb much but i can turn it off and on as i please, and if i ever go to sell it rgb is king in pc sales.
🙂 I went with their SKY TWO fish tank design, and I replaced all their argb fans because the fans that they include has no led lights on the fan blades, i went with a fan set that has fan blades that light up, they sky two also has 360 rad support along the top, gotta have that
Love it, i bought a Montech AIR 903 Base BLACK from amazon .....................................................................they sent the MAX version in black 😎😆🤙
On Black Friday 2022, I bought a Montech X1 Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case for about $50+tax. I was not impressed! The front fans were connected with molex connectors, that could not be speed controlled. They ran at full speed and were loud. The fans were RGB, but you couldn't adjust that function either. So, I immediately ordered replacement non-RGB fans from Amazon for an additional $23. The metal was really thin and they left very little room on the back to do wire management. For the $75 I spent I'm sure I could have gotten a much better case. I have since moved the build to a Lian Li Lancool 205.
They're around, most case manufacturers have a few to pick from at least. You're just not going to see them marketed as heavily since they're not as flashy. Cases marketed as silent or quiet are usually not glass sides.
A local computer store near me uses the COUGAR Archon 2 for budget builds. I wonder how a case like that would stack up to some of these other budget cases. Looking to upgrade but not break the bank.
I'm interested in knowing if the front that holds the mesh panel is metal or plastic. I ask this because if it were made of metal I could make a homemade dust filter. Thank you.
Just a heads up but the jab to gave Montech on the top magnetic filter was irrelevant because you used the wrong screws to mount those fans. I've been building PC's for 13 years and have never seen fan screws with a head on them as big as what I saw in this video. Typically fan screw heads are flat which would not impede the filter if screwed into the fan properly. I'm sure this is what was intended to be used by the manufacturer.
