    I noticed that the order of words isn’t the same as English, but extremely similar to the French order, as a native French speaker, it’s gonna be a lot easier now!

  • @anyaramshorn
    @anyaramshorn 2 роки тому +9

    Love the way you teach!! I’m learning this as an English speaker who’s a native Portuguese speaker and it just makes so much sense to me that you have two words for “where”! So does Portuguese. Our word for “Var” is “Onde” and our word for “Vart” is “Aonde”, which in English would basically be “Where” and “Where to”. And we also have our very own “varifrån” which is “de onde”.

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  2 роки тому +1

      Wonderful! That is exactly right!
      The more languages you know, and you can draw connections from, the easier other languages become.
      I am also sure you are going to have an easier time with the reflexive verbs 😁

    • @dennercassio
      @dennercassio Рік тому

      The point is people completely don't care about this rule of onde and aonde in Portuguese lol. We say onde in situations where we should say aonde to the point where it's completely ok nowadays to say onde in all situations.

    This is very helpful. There are two questions that I would like to know how to ask, that I can’t seem to find anywhere… They may seem very simple, but I’d like to make sure I’m saying it right. How do you say, “what is this?” And, “what is that?”

    • @FunSwedish

    In "Vart ska ni åka på semester?", I noticed you completely dropped the word "åka" when pronouncing the sentence. Is this a normal thing for that word? Great video btw!!

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  2 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, you can actually omit the "åka" in that sentence because the word "vart" kind of already informs us that we are asking about location.

    vad är skillnaden mellan ofta och bruka?????

    • @Nubbe999
      @Nubbe999 3 роки тому +2

      Not 100% sure but (inte helt säker men)...
      Bruka = att använda något (bruka jorden or han brukar hammaren på rätt sätt)
      Ofta = något händer återkommande/ gång på gång (jag kör ofta för fort)
      Brukar = något hände återkommande / gång på gång (jag bruka köra för fort men nu kör jag lagligt)

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  3 роки тому

      Great question!
      The main difference is that "ofta" is an adverb. Something that modifies the verb.
      Ex. Something happens OFTEN.
      While "brukar" IS a verb. Better translated to "use to" or "have the habit of".
      Hope that helps :)
