    The reunion is very very special, never under estimate its value. So glad you shared, this has meaning.

    Every Classic Vibe I’ve owned or tried felt higher quality than every Vintage Modified I’ve owned or tried. That’s my experience.

      Late to the party gain!! Sorry. I got mine in 2016 when they ran both together (which was confusing). The general consensus at the time was that they were both good, but the VM was preferred - I think manufactured in a different place - possibly where the current CV is made in Indonesia. FWIW, my guitar has a natural Ash body and a beautiful bookmatched chevron grain back. The VMs were all ash then, which I think has a nicer grain in natural than the soft maple (and is probably lighter).

      I just bought one and love it. The looks, playability and sound are fantastic. I have two guitars both Squiers, this telecaster and a 2019 Stratocaster. I really enjoy your videos. This one is more like a story than just a review, perfect, thanks buddy.

    getting one of these for my 18th, incredible video dude, that radiohead cover was insane (one of my favourite songs too haha) thanks for actually playing a song instead of just doing solos like a lot of reviewers do!!! the story at the end was really sweet too :)

    I replaced the wiring and pickups (Mojotone CuNaFe Wide Ranging). It plays like a very expensive Fender now. Super chimey, sweet tone. Dialed down amazing cleans. Crunch and even metal dialed up.

    Killer rock tones. Big and lush and back to smooth and soothing. Great job.

    Nice demo! If you woulkd compare this to the classic vibe starcaster you also demoed, which would your choice?

      Great question! To my surprise the tele sounded brighter, more articulate, and all around more versatile. I like the Starcaster more for its ergonomics and look but it just didn’t sound as good despite having the same pickups on paper.

    Wow, after a first chord I thought that it reminds me of "fake plastic trees"... and after that guy starts playing one of my favorite songs by my favorite band. That's like a dream, just wow 🤭
    P.s. Damn, in the end is my favorite coldplay song! You made my day haha

    I picked one of these up in December, 2022 when Fender was having their 20% off sale. The fretwork and setup were great right out of the box. I haven't weighed mine, but it is heavier than I would have expected. Mine also has the natural finish. I wanted the sunburst, but ordering directly from Fender during the sale period, they only had the natural finish in stock. I hadn't heard anything about the pickups being incorrectly wired, now you've got me curious about that. Measuring the DC resistance I get 7.72K ohms on the neck pickup and around 8.22k on the bridge, which is comparable to my Les Paul (slightly less).

      My white one was 6.8 lbs stock. ( 6.7 now with plastic knobs ) . Awesome guitar.

    Does it's hollowness has any benefit on the sound?(in a positive way)

      Great question! This is pretty debated. The reason why the thinline Tele was invented was to keep the weight of the guitar down not necessarily to change the tone of the guitar. In my experience it does make a slight difference in making the guitar sound more airy but not as much as one might think it does.

  • @kodosgn

    Could you please let me know the actual weight of this thinline? Thanks in advance

      Hi! Thanks for watching! I don’t have an exact measurement but I’d say it’s between 6-7lbs.

    Have you seen the same guitar you have but limited edition version? It's got block inlays and neck binding. I ordered one from GC just waiting for it to arrive. Have you ever played the limited edition version? If yes I'd be interested to hear what you have to say. Thank you

      Thanks for commenting! I haven’t had experience with that particular model. But it’s my understanding that the limited Squier runs are mostly cosmetic differences and that the pick-ups are essentially the same so it should sound the same.

    • @mboyer68
      @mboyer68 8 місяців тому

      I picked it up today. It's got a regular skunk stripe design neck but with seamless black binding. It's definitely the same as yours other than that!

    Hey what would you recommend from the two? The classic vibe starcaster or this thinline telecaster??

    • @themusicroom4104
      @themusicroom4104  5 місяців тому

      I ultimately went with the Tele. Starcaster was a very cool guitar with a lot of mojo but sounded too muddy and changing pickups on a semi-hollow was something I just wasn’t interested in. The tele was much more articulate and a lot lighter which made it a more enjoyable experience.

    • @themusicroom4104

      No they don’t unfortunately. There’s a lot of good videos on UA-cam comparing the different wide range humbuckers Fender uses in their different models.
