does the pedal fully digitize your sound or not? AD/DA or analog signal path? if "hybrid" does that mean analog pass thru with AD/DA?
Very nice! Great sounds all the way around, and the format of the video is a nice change from the talking heads who clutter up the video with their opinions and their bias. Not here. Select it, play it, let it stand on it's own merit, you be the judge on how it sounds. And only 10 minutes long. Most reviews/demo's would include all the mindless minutia and worthless comments to make it a 30 minute video. Liked and subbed.

I tell ya - it's tempting. Really covers Alot of territory. I like the ability to have custom-made presets for Live Shows. Nice Demo.

I pretty much ignored this pedal when it came out but just the boost features alone sold me on this. I can clear off at least 4 pedals from my board for this

just a while ago I avoided Boss pedals for some reason: now I have 4 that I aint sellin: Power Stack, Adaptive Distortion, Blues Driver and OD-3!!!!😎

@@NorthWoodsCountryBoy la verdad es que es muy bueno, lo triste es que ahora no tengo nesecidad de comprar más pedales de distorción 😐. Tenes todas las posibilidades literalmente, creo que con paciencia podes emular todas las variables que hay. Creo si voy a comprar el BossFS-7 para que sea más práctico cambiar los presets y agrandar el pedalboard 😂. No suena Digital, tengo un Zoom ms50g y las emulaciones de distorción si suenan digitales, esto no. Podes hacer montones de presets y suenan bien, yo por ejemplo tengo mi sonido blues, mi Zepp, AC/DC sonido hard Rock, Pink floyd fuzz, Maiden, Metallica preset, trash, Pantera, Korn preset, todo suena bien. Lo que si es bastante ruidoso, pero el Noise gate es excelente. La verdad no me arrepiento, es un poco intimidante al principio, pero vale la pena.
I bought the od200 and it sounds amazing! There is a pretty big problem though : the on/off status is not stored in the memory location. This means that, especially when using it in midi with other effects, it always turns on when changing memory. Say you want to have a clean sound on #3, and turn on the od on the solo, well you cannot. As soon as you change memory number the pedal turns on. This makes having memories somewhat useless.
It seems so trivial to add this with an update... anybody shares this pain? Boss please help us!
Sounds almost like storing presets in an external controller situation would be better 🤔
I dunno. There’s some things I look at with my midi-compatible gear and what I want from a controller where I don’t know that I want to store as much in the onboard presets, but rather send parameters for each preset in the controller.
the Valeton GP-200 is what I’m getting. Midi and the pitch shifter for like three songs are all I’d be using, aside the fact that it’s a 4-way splitter.. my rig is crazy.
Anyway, I saw a video of someone setting theirs up as a midi controller and it can do… everything. You can set whatever you want to send to presets in it. Wish I had an SDR-2000+ instead of just the SDR-2000. No real-time parameter control.
You’d probably have to dive into the manual but I’m sure there’s a solution. Look up “OD-200 manual” online and look at page 11-12.

As far as i know - Nope....
32 bit and 96 kHZ tells you it has it all for bandwidth.

hey you probably don't know the turkish band called "kurban". look at their song "cennet". the intro and the main riff seems like it's inspired from the original one. or it is the original one, i really don't know but it's damn good riff.

If you play without the pedal on then play with it on I can hear the dynamic range difference and can tell it if the pedal is dynamic enough for live playing or not !
Wow this is the reason i bought this pedal your dialing in amazing tone i am having problems i have a marshall dsl 40 tibe amp play fender i am lost in the technical aspects please any help you said some number how di i know i hate this pedal right now
How good is this pedal without any amp or anything. I mean if I plug my Guitar into it and record in my DAW directly then will it sound great without any analog/ tube saturation ?
Probably not since you're missing the coloration of the guitar speakers. You could run it through an impulse response of a cab in your DAW though.

my little RP 50 does all this and I scroll through the channels just by stepping on the " Right or left " button,,,,this is a nice pedal but everything seems to be done by hand...

Playing is fine. The sounds themselves sound so digital.Raw, in an uncooked way , rather than organic beefiness.Boss did analog drives in digital multieffects a long time ago that sounded much better.Then they dropped them.

This BOSS Multi Pedal doesn't have Switchable or Programmable Pre-Sets .. By itself seems like a fun Toy but not practical for Live Performance .. besides .. the output overdrive sound is too much like being inside a tin can .. thumbs down
It has 128 presets with firmware 1.1
It's designed to work with the midi of the es5 or 8. Using this in conjunction with the other 200 or 500 series will give a person some serious sounds. 200 of them if you want ,, at the step of a button. Programmed individually .. but that's the fun. And this guys demo sends it over the top thinking of reverb, delay , modulation , even an eq. Thrown in the mix
Lots of tones here. Ranging from “Ok” and “So-So” all the way to “Crap”….
BOSS makes the worst distortion pedals. I've never had nor heard one that was decent. Their modulation
pedals are great as well as their delays. Distortion not so much.

Blues Driver, OD-3, Power Stack, Angry Driver (parallel mode 😮), SD-1, and FZ-3 are all quality in my opinion.
I agree. They are so bad, that's why no one uses them. I think they will go belly up soon.
